Slam - Bright Lights Fading (Death In Vegas Mix)
Gimme gimme gimme one more chance
I spent my royalties on call boys
Just a temporary slip of fate
I'm on this street
I can tell just by the way you glance
You heard the word about my greatness
But when my money's gone and I'm all alone
What's a girl to do?
(Chorus)
So pick me off of the floor
And put me in your show tonight
I'm designed to blow your mind
If you just let me be myself
So get me off of this road
And put me in your show tonight
I was born for the bright spot lights
Everybody knows
There's no guilt about the things I do
You've got to take it where you find it
And I've starved enough and worked hard enough
The pay's overdue
Never mind about the state I'm in
Its just a matter of appearance
I'm a superstar if you send a car
And a little cash on the side
(Chorus)
Hows a girl out of luck gonna find herself?
Call me a tramp and a drunk
Its just packaging
Just a part of fame
(Chorus x2)

Ann-Margret - I Just Don't Understand (RCA Victor 7894)
fliped with ''I Don't Hurt Anymore'' issued on RCA Victor in 1961
http://www.ann-margret.com/
Born Ann-Margret Olsson, 28 April 1941, Stockholm, Sweden
Actress/singer/dancer/entertainer: best known for Bye Bye Birdie and Viva Las Vegas. Nominated for best supporting actress in Carnal Knowledge and best actress in Tommy
Born in Sweden but adopted by America
The family moved to Valsjobyn when A-M was still a little baby. This is a little village of about 150 people located in the mountains in the county of Jamtland. It is 4 miles east of the border of Norway. A-M is named after a Swedish swimming star her mother admired. She has no brothers or sisters
She came to the United States with her mother when she was five, settling in Wilmette, Illinois (north of Chicago). A-M's father who had come to America previously, greeted them
Ann-Margret has dazzled screen and stage audiences. With her film debut in Frank Capra's final classic, "Pocketful of Miracles" in 1962 to the recent Oliver Stone directed "On Any Sunday" with Al Pacino, Ann-Margret's film career has spanned four decades. Displaying a versatility that few actresses can match has earned her love and admiration, not just for her beauty and her legend but also for herself
Ann-Margret Olsson becomes Ann-Margret. George Burns propels her into national prominence in Las Vegas.
Her meteoric rise to stardom begins with a LIFE Magazine cover story from 11 January 1963
See http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Boulevard/5000/am-life630111.jpg
Her early film career incls. "Pocketful of Miracles," "State Fair," "Bye Bye Birdie," "Viva Las Vegas" with Elvis Presley, "Stagecoach," and "The Cincinnati Kid." Her fairytale marriage to Roger Smith. TV Specials, record releases, Las Vegas nightclub act, and national recognition as a "superstar sex symbol" punctuate Ann-Margret's life in the fast paced sixties
In '72, husband Roger started producing all of A-M's stage shows. At 12:30 at night while doing her 12th show (in 6 nights) at the Sahara Hotel in Lake Tahoe on Sunday, September 10th, A-M fell 22 feet on stage. Her injuries included numerous bones in the face above an eye which were broken or fractured; jaw broken in two places; left arm broken; knee injured. Dr. Frank Ashley performs a 5-hour operation at UCLA Medical Center. Roger gives A-M a 20-karat diamond ring. Reports say she lapsed into a 3-day coma
A-M does a remarkable comeback opening at the Las Vegas Hilton on Tuesday, November 28th with the 'AM/PM' show. A-M picks up the nickname of 'Slugger' since she proved her strength recovering from her accident.
The Seventies truly defined Ann-Margret as an actress with Academy Award nominations for her work in "Carnal Knowledge", and "Tommy." The accident was a near brush with death and it almost ended her career but following her live performances draw record crowds in the Orient, Las Vegas and Miami. Her body of work expands with more films, TV Specials and awards
This is the decade in which Ann-Margret grows up. The eighties begin with her winning her first Las Vegas Entertainer of the Year Award. She tours the country with her Vegas act. Her film career is full speed ahead and she stars in her first of several critically acclaimed TV Dramas, and is nominated for three Best Actress Emmy's. However, her husband Roger is stricken with Myasthenia Gravis, and Ann-Margret is thrust into the toughest role of her career... she's in charge of her career and Roger's battle to survive.
A new, mature Ann-Margret emerges in the nineties. Roger's health stabilizes and new opportunities abound. She performs live at the Radio City Music Hall. She tackles new characters in TV Film Dramas and receives renewed acclaim for her acting. She films two classics: "Grumpy Old Men," and its sequel, "Grumpier Old Men" with Walter Mathau, Jack Lemmon and Sophia Loren. Ann-Margret just gets better and better
In 2001 she starred in the touring production of The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas is playing the lead role of Miss Mona Stangley, indomitable madam of the multi-storied Chicken Ranch brothel
She really has made a whole raft of movies - and records. Add multi -TV appearances incl. mini-series. Here's a reminder of some of the best movie roles:
Emily Porter - State Fair - 62 Kim - Bye Bye Birdie - 63 Rusty Martin - Viva Las Vegas - 64 aka Love in Las Vegas Melba - The Cincinnati Kid - 65 Laurel - Bus Riley's Back in Town - 65 Dallas - Stagecoach - 66 Kelly Olsson - The Swinger - 66 Bobbie - Carnal Knowledge - 71 Nora Walker Hobbs - Tommy - 75
Oh, Jody Dvorak in Kitten with a Whip - 64 seems to have attracted a lot of attention
On TV in biopics, she's portrayed Pamela Harriman and Diane Borchardt, then the part of Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire - 84. Appeared in the That's Dancing! compilation - 85
Examples of her recordings:
And Here She Is Ann-Margret's first long-player from RCA, 1961. Jazzy orchestra conducted by Marty Paich.

53rd Journalism Awards Gala (part 1)
A. JOURNALISTS OF THE YEAR
A1. PRINT (Over 50,000 circulations)
Patrick Range McDonald, LA Weekly
Comments: "Range" is an appropriate middle name. What incredibly
detailed reporting on a variety of complicated topics. What an ability to
make us feel as if we know the players. What skill in explaining messy
situations. The very essence of solid journalism.
2nd place: David Evans, Bloomberg Markets, "Duping the Families of
Fallen Soldiers"
HM: Mariel Garza, Los Angeles Daily News Editorials
A2. PRINT (Under 50,000 circulation)
Radley Balko, Reason Magazine
Comment: ―Radley Balko is one of those throw-back journalists that
understands the power of groundbreaking reporting and how to make a
significant impact through his work. Time and time again, his stories cause
readers to stop, think, and most significantly, take action.
Congratulations!‖
2nd Place: Dan Evans, Glendale News-Press
HM: Ryan Vaillancourt, Los Angeles Downtown News
A3. TELEVISION JOURNALIST
Ana Garcia and Fred Mamoun, KNBC-TV
Garcia and Mamoun shoot, write and edit compelling stories. One of
their strengths as a team is the obvious respect for their subjects, and the
ability through contacts in the community to land exclusive interviews and
opportunities. They are strong storytellers and the pieces move!
2nd Place: Antonio Valverde, Univision
Valverde has a wide range as a journalist. He is able to work with various
segments of the community to tell compelling stories. He has political
acumen and can accurately and fairly tell stories, while also reaching out
to the disenfranchised to share their stories of life in L.A.
A4. RADIO JOURNALIST
Susan Valot, KPCC
Comments: Well-rounded reports with authoritative, informed tone. Great
use of sound. Valot‘s work is some of the best we‘ve heard.
2nd Place: Brian Watt: KPCC
HM: Kitty Felde: KPCC
A5. ONLINE JOURNALIST
Daniel Heimpel, FosteringMediaConnections.org
2nd Place: Chris Hedges, Truthdig.com
HM: Robert Scheer, Truthdig.com
A6. SPORTS JOURNALIST
N/A
A7. ENTERTAINMENT JOURNALIST
Kim Masters, KCRW-FM Radio
Comments: Nice voice in both senses of the word, along with substantive
content. Covering a story about outed CIA agent Valerie Plame, she
tracked down Plame to comment on her portrayal, rather than just talking
to the actress. She also gave a lot of information on entertainment agents
that broadened the picture the public was likely to have of that
occupation.
2nd Place: Tara Wallis-Finestone, NBC LA
HM: George Pennacchio, KABC-TV
A8. PHOTO JOURNALIST
Rick Loomis, Los Angeles Times
A9. DESIGNER

B. DAILY/WEEKLY NEWSPAPERS
Over 50,000 circulations – including news bureaus and correspondents
B1. HARD NEWS
Tracy Manzer and Sarah Peters, Long Beach Press-Telegram, "Heroes foil
bank heist"
Comments: The writing was appropriately-paced for the category and
the story content. I enjoyed the writers' use of sensory details and factual
information, presented with a slightly humorous/sarcastic tone that made
this piece fun to read.
B2. NEWS FEATURE
Patrick Range McDonald, LA Weekly, ―The Parent Trigger‖.
Comments: Documents a groundswell of democracy while explaining a
new law through a real-world prism. Powerful. Incredibly well-sourced and
informative, yet provides a human touch. The story of poor minorities trying
to make a change documented how the masses can move the
establishment. Inspiring to others, this story shows what newspaper do like
no other. Bravo.
2nd Place: Thomas Curven, Los Angeles Times, ―Walking Away from Grief‖
HM: Kristopher Hanson, Long Beach Press-Telegram, ―Dangers Close to
Home‖
B3. PERSONALITY PROFILE
Steve Friess, LA Weekly, ―A Tragic Love Story‖
2nd Place: Charlotte Hsu, LA Weekly, ―Forever Scared — The Story of
Herman Atkins‖
HM: Karen Robes Meeks, Long Beach Press-Telegram, ―Murchison: A
Portrait of a Long Beach Lobbyist‖
B4. INVESTIGATIVE/SERIES
David Evans, Bloomberg News, "Fallen Soldiers' Families Denied Cash
Payout as Insurers Profit"
Comments: These articles are the soul of great investigative journalism,
uncovering a shocking system whereby the families of slain soldiers are
tricked about benefits, and where shameless insurance companies reap
big profits at the expense of those families.
Best of all, it led to immediate Congressional investigations and action.
2nd place: Beth Barrett, LA Weekly, "The Dance of the Lemons"
HM: Monica Alonzo and Simone Wilson, LA Weekly, "Culture of Cruelty"
B5. BUSINESS
Alana Semuels, Los Angeles Times, "California unfriendly to business?
Figures say no"
Comments: This is an authoritative and well-documented piece that
refutes the common wisdom of California's tax structure being unfriendly
to business.
2nd place: Beth Barrett, LA Weekly, "Barry Minkow 2.0"
HM: Donna Howell, Investor's Business Daily,

Showreel Yannick Barthe 2011
2011 was an amazing year of new projects and collaborations. Already started in January with an aerial camera work for the NHK Japan television in Château-d'Oex. I filmed during the 3 days of competition all the aerial footage from the hot air balloon of John Armstrong. Followed with some amazing video projects with pilots on the airshows of Dittingen and Sion like the Bronco, the Rafale, the F/A-18 Hornet, the Captens, the Edge 540 and the Cobra of Flying Bulls . I made the trailer for the Swiss National Championship 2011 in Bex. In July I met my friends of Handiflight again and filmed the event all the week under the rain. And my biggest aviation project this year : I filmed the World Aerobatic Championships in Foligno (Italy) for the FAI in September.
Beside my principal work on aviation we also filmed some beautiful firedance videos with Franziska like "Sparkling Fire", "Bright Eyes" and other FairyWings dance videos like "FairyWings in the Woods". I also used some interesting new gear this year. All the videos with Franziska were shot with my Sony NEX-VG10 or my Sony NEX-5n. After about 6 years with my Sony Z1 I work now with a Sony PMW-320 XDCAM.
Working alone on airshows, running with all the video material, installing onboard video cameras, making interviews, etc... is really hard. This year I recieved a lot of help from pilots and friends and I would like especially to thank Franziska and Tahan for their great help on the tarmac around airplanes ! I would also like to thank all pilots who gave me the possibility to install my onboard cameras on their aircrafts or allowed me to use their onboard footage !
Many thanks to : Franziska Neuhaus, Saeko Konishi, Arnaud Favre, Pierrick Duvoisin, Daniel Ramseier, Sarah Ramseier, Brian Jones, Rob Rickards, Steve Derwin, Michael Amtmann, Harald Weber, Dieter Andries, Guillaume Féral, Ludovic Bejot, Martin Cotting, Jens Sternberg, Dorine Bourneton, Steve Darwin, Michel Barras, Yves Rossy, Jérôme Cusin, Emiliano Del Buono, Urs Winkelmann, Dittingen Airshow team, Xavier Buffa, Alain Bes, Tahan Pangaribuan, Marianne Shaw, Adam Shaw, Vito Wyprächtiger, Yves Heller, Blacky Schwarz, Ralph Knittel, Michaël Broccard, Jean-Marc Badan, Faustine Carrera, Andrea Artoni, Dario Costa, Irene Pasini, Cristian Giorgetti, Hanspeter Rohner, Martin Sonka, Francois Rallet, Rob Holland, Nigel Hopkins, Nicolas Ivanoff, Aude Lemordant, Svetlana Kapanina and Graham Hill.

Bright New Ideas by Martin Lindsey
This is the final project of my ANI 201 class, Animation I, at DePaul University in Chicago. It uses images processed in Photoshop and imported into After Effects for compositing. The movie was produced during the fall quarter of the 2009 - 2010 school year.
The concept is to show my career transition in the works. My old life as an engineer in a small engine factory is covered by foliage, ridding me of the old profession that brought me no creative fulfillment and then retreats to reveal the inspiration to return to school and unleash my creative juices in digital animation, my new career in progress.

The concept is to show my career transition in the works. Then the foliage retreats to reveal the inspiration to return to school and unleash my creative juices in digital animation, my new career in progress.
This is the second revision in which I add audio tracks in key spots to give more life to the film. I also added MAYA renderings and hand sketches from my 3D modeling class at the end of the film.
