Kinkakuji Kyoto - Templo de Ouro (2010/05/03
Kinkaku (Pavilhao Dourado) é o nome da edificacao mais famosa do Templo Rokuon, popularmente conhecido por Kinkakuji (Templo do Pavilhao Dourado). Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, o terceiro xogun* da familia Ashikaga, abdicou ao trono em 1394 e o local escolhido como residencia é a area onde se localiza o Kinkakuji. Apos sua morte em 1422, o local foi convertido em um templo Zen. O templo foi queimado em um incendio criminoso em 1950 e reconstruido em 1955. O jardim do Kinkakuji continua como nos tempos antigos e ainda pode ser apreciado como ha centenas de anos.

Kinkaku-ji Templo del Pabellón Dorado, es el nombre informal del Rokuon-ji Templo del jardín de los ciervos en Kioto, Japón. Fue construido originalmente en 1397 como villa de descanso del shōgun Ashikaga Yoshimitsu, como parte de su propiedad llamada Kitayama.[1] Su hijo transformó el edificio en un templo Zen de la secta Rinzai. El templo se quemó varias veces durante la guerra Ōnin.
Forma parte del conjunto de Monumentos históricos de la antigua Kioto (ciudades de Kioto, Uji y Otsu) declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la Unesco en el año 1994.
