An amputee who drives an Albion cargo truck registered GT 3398 H has been arrested by the Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) of the Ghana Police Service in Accra. Hudu Abdulai was nabbed yesterday at a scrap dealers' site in South Industrial Area following a tip-off, but he tells Daily Guide that he has been driving as an amputee since 1979. Church of Pentecost baptised the deaf and hearing on 6th May after having accepted Jesus Christ as their Saviour. 3. ED-LIN Creative Foundation (NGO) trains the deaf people in Teshie and Nungua for 3 months. 4. The history of the Father of the Deaf School, Abbe Charles-Michel de I'Epee was interesting for the Deaf World to have the rights to education and sign language.

Alhaji Aliu Mahama (born 3 March 1946) was Vice-President of Ghana from 7 January 2001 to 7 January 2009. He sought the New Patriotic Party's nomination for the 2008 presidential election,[1] but at the party's convention in December 2007 he received only 6.38% of delegates' votes (146 votes). After this unexpectedly poor result he announced that he would leave politics.[2]

Joseph van Vicker (born August 1, 1977), better known as Van Vicker, is a Ghanaian actor. He received two nominations for Best Actor in a Leading Role and Best Upcoming Actor at the African Movie Academy Awards in 2008.[1][2]

Early life[link]
Vicker was born to a Liberian Ghanaian mother and a Dutch father.[3][4][5] His father died when he was six years old.[4] He has often cited in interviews that he considers himself a global citizen as he was raised all over the world by his mother. Due to the early death of his father Vicker has stated that he is very close to his mother and considers her his hero.
Vicker attended Mfantsipim School, along with fellow actor Majid Michel. Mfantsipim School is the alma mater of Former Secretary-General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan.

Television[link]
Vicker started out in the entertainment world in radio and as a television personality for Metropolitan Television (Metro TV). In 2003, Vicker appeared in the Ghanaian television series, Suncity, which depicted university life. He played the character of LeRoy King, Jr., a fine arts student born in the U.S. who arrives at Suncity to complete his education. The series ran for a total of 10 episodes.[6]
Film[link]
Soon, Vicker was cast in his first film Divine Love as a supporting character. This film coincidentally was also the debut roles for fellow actors Jackie Aygemang and Majid Michel who were cast in the female and male lead respectively. The producer had insisted that Van be given a supporting role in Divine Love.
That chance paid off, exposing Vicker to the movie industry. Even though Van's role in Divine Love was in a supporting capacity, based on the strength of his performance, Van has been consistently cast in leading romantic roles thereafter. A role he has become well known for playing. Vicker is usually cast as the male romantic lead, often alongside actresses Jackie Aygemang and Nadia Buari. He is often compared to fellow Ghanaian actor Majid Michel and Nigerian Ramsey Nouah.[4]

Vicker is married with children.[4] He owns and runs "Sky & Orange", an advertising agency and event management company; "Babetown", a unisex barber shop; and the Van Vicker Foundation, an outreach program for upcoming young artists.[4]
