BEST VIEWED IN HD AND FULLSCREEN (with scaling off)
Midnight Sun: A natural phenomenon occurring in the summer months north of the Arctic Circle and south of the Antarctic Circle where the sun never fully sets and remains visible 24 hours a day.
This short time lapse film was shot during the Icelandic Midnight Sun in June of 2011.
For 17 days I travelled solo around the entire island shooting almost 24 hours, sleeping in the car, and eating whenever I had the time. During my days shooting this film I shot 38,000 images, travelled some 2900 miles, and saw some of the most amazing, beautiful, and indescribable landscapes on the planet. Iceland is absolutely one of the most beautiful and unusual places you could ever imagine. Especially during the Midnight Sun when the quality of light hitting the landscape is very unusual, and very spectacular.
Iceland is a landscape photographers paradise and playground, and should be number 1 on every photographers must visit list. Iceland during the Midnight Sun is in sort of a permanent state of sunset. The sun never full sets and travels horizontally across the horizon throughout the night, as can be seen in the opening shot and at the :51 second mark in the video.
During the Arctic summer, sunset was at midnight and sunrise was at 3am. The Arctic summer sun provided 24 hours a day of light, with as much as 6 hours daily of "Golden light". Once the sun had set it wouldn't even get dark enough for the stars to come out, and they don't start to reappear until August.
My advice to everyone out there, photographer or not, is simple... You MUST visit Iceland sometime during your lifetime. You will never regret it.

Lightning strikes three of the tallest buildings in Chicago at the same time!
On June 23rd, 2010 a line of nasty storms rolled through Chicago in the early evening hours. I stayed late at the office that night to work on some things and to avoid the rush hour chaos that was going on. Once I returned home I wasn't really paying attention to what was happening outside until someone asked me if I was watching the lightning. I took a quick look out my window and saw some quick hits of lightning and ran back to my room to grab my camera and tripod. I was standing out there randomly hitting the record button and hoping I would catch some of the strikes. About 15 minutes in nothing was happening during my current recording so I reached to stop it and start a new one. At the moment I touched the camera three of the tallest buildings in Chicago were struck by lightning at the same time. Willis Tower (Tallest), Trump International Hotel and Tower (2nd Tallest) and the John Hancock Building(4th tallest). If you listen closely, you can hear me lightly say "yes!" after the triple strike happens.

just to clarify: "Chiemgau" is the region I live. It's between Munich and Salzburg in the very south of Bavaria. the shots were done in and around the "Chiemgau". I once wanted to create a 100% Chiemgau-Vid but didn't have the time to complete it. Maybe that is why I didn't upload it earlier...

Iv put a lot of effort into researching each case in this video, however nobody's perfect, and there are bound to be a few videos in here that have been debunked or proven fake. Alleging that there were several missing links in the case relating to the death of advocate Sankara Subbu's son Sathish Kumar, forensics expert P Chandrasekaran has disputed the claims of the CBI, according to which the victim had committed suicide. Among the various issues Chandrasekaran raised with the CBI's report was the four deep cut injuries on the neck, about 2.1 centimetres deep and 12 centimetres long, made with a half-blade. "A half-blade will be just one-cm wide and therefore causing such a deep cut with it is not possible. Also making four such cuts is impossible. An injury of this nature can be caused only with a knife, barber's razor, pen knife or a surgical knife - all those that have a handle," he said. Chandrasekaran, who claims to have seen the CBI report, further said that the diatom tests done in two different labs showed that it was not a death due to drowning. He said the diatoms (algae) present in water would enter the body of a person if he/she dies due to drowning. "In Sathish Kumar's case, the diatoms were not present in his body, which proves that the victim did not die due to drowning," he claimed. The body of Sathish Kumar, son of advocate Sankara Subbu, who was reported missing since June 7, 2011, was fished out from the ICF North Colony Lake on June 13, 2011.
