England
i/ˈɪŋɡlənd/ is a country that is part of the United Kingdom. It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west; the Irish Sea is to the north west, the Celtic Sea to the south west, while the North Sea to the east and the English Channel to the south separate it from continental Europe. Most of England comprises the central and southern part of the island of Great Britain in the North Atlantic. The country also includes over 100 smaller islands such as the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight.
The area now called England was first inhabited by modern humans during the Upper Palaeolithic period, but it takes its name from the Angles, one of the Germanic tribes who settled during the 5th and 6th centuries. England became a unified state in AD 927, and since the Age of Discovery, which began during the 15th century, has had a significant cultural and legal impact on the wider world. The English language, the Anglican Church, and English law—the basis for the common law legal systems of many other countries around the world—developed in England, and the country's parliamentary system of government has been widely adopted by other nations. The Industrial Revolution began in 18th-century England, transforming its society into the world's first industrialised nation. England's Royal Society laid the foundations of modern experimental science.

A region named Germania, inhabited by several Germanic peoples, was documented before AD 100. During the Migration Period, the Germanic tribes expanded southward, and established successor kingdoms throughout much of Europe. Beginning in the 10th century, German territories formed a central part of the Holy Roman Empire. During the 16th century, northern German regions became the centre of the Protestant Reformation while southern and western parts remained dominated by Roman Catholic denominations, with the two factions clashing in the Thirty Years' War, marking the beginning of the Catholic–Protestant divide that has characterized German society ever since. Occupied during the Napoleonic Wars, the rise of Pan-Germanism inside the German Confederation resulted in the unification of most of the German states into the German Empire in 1871 which was Prussian dominated. After the German Revolution of 1918–1919 and the subsequent military surrender in World War I, the Empire was replaced by the Weimar Republic in 1918, and partitioned in the Treaty of Versailles. Amidst the Great Depression, the Third Reich was proclaimed in 1933. The latter period was marked by Fascism and World War II. After 1945, Germany was divided by allied occupation, and evolved into two states, East Germany and West Germany. In 1990 Germany was reunified.

Icelandi/ˈaɪslənd/ (Icelandic: Ísland, IPA: [ˈislant]) is a Nordic European island country in the North Atlantic Ocean, on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge. The country has a population of about 320,000 and a total area of 103,000 km2 (40,000 sq mi). According to Landnámabók, the settlement of Iceland began in AD 874 when the chieftain Ingólfur Arnarson became the first permanent Norse settler on the island. Others had visited the island earlier and stayed over winter. Over the following centuries, Norsemen settled Iceland, bringing with them thralls (slaves) of Gaelic origin. From 1262 to 1918 Iceland was part of the Norwegian and later the Danish monarchies. Until the 20th century, the Icelandic population relied largely on fisheries and agriculture, and the country was one of the poorest and least developed in the world. Industrialisation of the fisheries and aid from the Marshall Plan brought prosperity in the years after World War II, and by the 1990s it was one of the world's wealthiest countries. In 1994, Iceland became party to the European Economic Area, which made it possible for the economy to diversify into economic and financial services.

Thuringia
The Free State of Thuringia (German: Freistaat Thüringen, pronounced [ˈfʁaɪʃtaːt ˈtyːʁɪŋən], English /θjʊərˈrɪndʒiə/) is a state of Germany, located in the central part of the country. It has an area of 16,171 square kilometres (6,244 sq mi) and 2.29 million inhabitants, making it the sixth smallest by area and the fifth smallest by population of Germany's sixteen states. Most of Thuringia is within the watershed of the Saale, a left tributary of the Elbe. Its capital is Erfurt.
Thuringia has been known by the nickname of "the green heart of Germany" (das grüne Herz Deutschlands) from the late 19th century, due to the dense forest that covers the terrain.
Thuringia is well known in Germany for nature and winter sports. It is home to the Rennsteig, Germany's most famous hiking trail, and the winter resort of Oberhof. Germany has won more Winter Olympics gold medals than any other country in the last 20 years, and half of Germany's gold medals have been won by Thuringian athletes.
From the northwest going clockwise, Thuringia borders on the German states of Lower Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony, Bavaria and Hesse. The ridges of the western Harz Mountains divide the region from Lower Saxony on the north-west, while the eastern Harz similarly separates Thuringia from the state of Saxony-Anhalt to the north-east. To the south and southwest, the Thuringian Forest effectively separates the ancient region of Franconia, now the northern part of Bavaria, from the rolling plains of most of Thuringia. The central Harz range extends southwards along the western side into the northwest corner of the Thuringian Forest region, making Thuringia a lowland basin of rolling plains nearly surrounded by ancient somewhat-difficult mountains. To the west across the mountains and south is the drainage basin of the Rhine River.

Leonard Wong is a Research Professor of Military Strategy (Human and Organizational Dimensions) in the Strategic Studies Institute at the U.S. Army War College, who focuses on the human and organizational dimensions of the military, and is a published author on leadership strategy. Wong is a registered professional engineer and holds a Bachelor of Science from the United States Military Academy, and an M.S.B.A. and Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. His 1992 thesis was on The effects of cohesion on organizational performance: a test of two models using performance data of unit battles at the U.S. Army's National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. He joined the Strategic Studies Institute in July 2000 after serving 20 years in the United States Army, reaching the rank of lieutenant colonel. His army career included assignments teaching leadership at West Point, serving as an analyst in the Office of the Chief of Staff of the United States Army and in the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel, and serving as the Director of the Office of Economic and Manpower Analysis (OEMA). He has authored several articles, chapters, and papers on organizational issues in the Army such as downsizing, leadership, junior officer retention, professionalism, and innovation in the military.

U.S. Soldier Survives Taliban Machine Gun Fire During Firefight

No rounds penetrated his body armor, and he made it home with no permanent injuries. This happened in Kunar Province, Afghanistan.
*READ* From the cameraman:
" I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my eye pro was shot off of my face. We were doing overwatch on the village to recon and gather intel. I was point heading down the face of the hill with the LT. when we got hit. the rest of the squad was pinned down by machine gun fire. I didn't start the video until a few mins into the firefight for obvious reasons. I came out into the open to draw fire so my squad could get to safety."
"A round struck the tube by my hand of the 203 grenade launcher which knocked it out of my hands. When I picked the rifle back up it was still functional but the grenade launcher tube had a nice sized 7.62 cal bullet hole in it and was rendered useless. "

Have you ever wondered about the "30%" headshot protection from the IBH helmet? Well this video was made to see if this helmet actually does anything.
My diagnosis: It fails. If you buy this helmet or any other "Protection" helmet, you are most likely wasting your GP. There is a point twice in this video where it might seem it works, but i'm almost positive it was due to the range of the shot and the accuracy of the gun. It most likely hit his neck twice.

A quick review on the new AK-74M that was just released several days ago with the new patch. It's a great gun actually, and I will put it on par with the G36E, and trust me, thats saying a lot since I think no gun is near the G36E in usefulness.
Accuracy: The same as G36E and Ak47 (which is the best you can get for an assualt rifle)
Power: The same as the G36E (3 to 4 shot kill on the body)
Fire Rate: Faster than the G36E, making it better for close range spraying (and the G36E was already good for that) *** Side note*** Because the fire rate is faster, the spread is more, so either have good aim and spray correctly with this gun, or just tap your mouse with really fast clicking.
Recoil: Less than the G36E, which is great! (Especially with the Itech scope, +3 aiming makes it really great)
Portability: Good, I havn't actually payed much attention to this, but It feels light to me, definitly lighter than the G36E.
Overall: I give this gun a 9.7/10 along with the G36E (9.7/10).
This gun is EQUALLY good in my opinion as the G36E for PROs or people who are experienced with First person shooters.
However, if your an above average player or even a beginner (KDR 0.0 - 1.8), this gun is MUCH better than the G36E. The less recoil makes a phenomenal difference to decent players, making it very deadly in the hands of even a newb.

**THIS GUN IS NOT OVERPOWERED... IT IS OVERACCURATE IF ANYTHING**
**And yes, I think this is the BEST gun in the game**
Accuracy: Gotta love it :D. The best accuracy for an AR in CA is on the G36E. Boy do I love accurate guns.

Power: Above average, a strong 4 hit kill, an easy 3 hit kill if the opponent is damaged in any way (with around 92 hp or lower).

Portability: Almost the worst for an Assault rifle, but it works fine still. It feels maybe slightly heavier then the average rifle.

Fire Rate: In my opinion, the fire rate is nearly perfect. It's not too fast and not to slow. To fast and it spreads quickly, too slow and you can't kill your opponent fast enough.

- Recoil is fairly strong when scoped. Highly recommended that you simply "tap" your mouse fire button at a fast pace. Try not to make the recoil move diagonally too much. Hey guys, its Baxstar with another gun review.
This ones on the TAR-21, which I do not like at all. The itself is ok, but compared to other assualt rifles, this one shouldn't be in your first 5 choices.
The major number one problem with this gun is the spread, second being the recoil.
Power: Meh, average.

Recoil: Really terrible. It switches recoil patterns often while shooting, making it hard to predict and control the recoil. It like combining the SCAR recoil with the G36E recoil, it gets messy.

Spread: Dreadful. Ugh, i hate this thing for CQB. In the video I do fairly well because i'm on my "A" game for aiming, but in normal situations, almost every single other gun is better than this one.

Accuracy: The accuracy is ok actually, I don't like the fact that it only comes with an Itech scope, but hey, I wouldn't be using this weapon for long range distances anyway.

I was gifted this Sickle by a friend. I got 10 kills with it before the event was over and now I DO HAVE IT FOR 90 days. Pretty nice.
I like to melee sometimes and sickles are my 2nd favourite weapon to use.

I got the Scar H from a MYST-N case so I thought I might as well review it before it expired (one day).
Power: Above average, strong 4 hit kill.

Accuracy: Its a medium-close ranged weapon. Decent accuracy in all.

Recoil: Average. Its lower than your AK's, G36's, AUG's, but a bit more than K2, M4's and other rifles. I do dislike the sideways recoil though. Not because its hard to control, but because if you tap fast, the sideways recoil could cause your bullet to shoot to the side of the person instead of above where your crosshair is (thats why you should aim for the body most of the time, if the recoil goes up and you shoot again, it will hit their head)

This one is on the Mk. 48 MOD 0, a machine gun. I don't really like MG's, they are too slow, and they suck for far ranges but none the less, here is the review.
Tekky hath doth spoken, hear his words of wisdom (He's #1 with Mk. 48 MOD 0 CAMO, he knows his shit lol);
"Its also great for point defense since you can kill multiple enemies without having to reload and get overwhelmed.
The Mk.48 has the second highest accuracy of any MG, with the exception of the RPK-74M, but the RPK-74M has a scope that increases recoil rather than decreasing it, so it has more single shot accuracy while the MK.48 TECHNICALLY beats it since it has an accuracy increasing and recoil reducing scope, instead of just an accuracy increasing one. The Mk.48 has the slowest ROF of any MG, but has the highest damage, meaning that it is the longest range MG. When firing at long range you should keep going full auto when scoped, or bursts when not scoped. It is important that you dont let the person you are fighting take aim, and stay behind cover."

" I got a hit a total of 4 times. My helmet cam died and i made it down the mountain on my own. I was also hit in the side of my helmet and my eye pro was shot off of my face. We were doing overwatch on the village to recon and gather intel. I was point heading down the face of the hill with the LT. when we got hit. the rest of the squad was pinned down by machine gun fire. I didn't start the video until a few mins into the firefight for obvious reasons. I came out into the open to draw fire so my squad could get to safety."
"A round struck the tube by my hand of the 203 grenade launcher which knocked it out of my hands. When I picked the rifle back up it was still functional but the grenade launcher tube had a nice sized 7.62 cal bullet hole in it and was rendered useless. "

The film offers a response to the major problem of our time: how to galvanize and enlist the global publics in the fight against global warming. James Brown is a force of nature, a gift from heaven.He invented funk, but it was a symbol of freedom and success for millions of black American in combat for their civic rights, who saw him as a source of hope and pride. I tried to describe the richness of his life.
For this year’s Music Video Challenge, Saatchi & Saatchi in association with Universal Music Enterprises, the James Brown Estate, BUG and Genero.tv bringing together fresh filmmaking talent and iconic music with songs by the legendary James Brown.
The 2012 Challenge was in celebration of the James Brown catalogue being re-released on iTunes in May, and the re-issuing of the classic James Brown Live at the Apollo album later this year.
This is the director's cut version of the video music of James Brown - It's Man's Man's Man's World.

Photographer John Moore is no stranger to combat. As a member of an Associated Press team in 2005, he shared a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography for coverage of the war in Iraq and he's done extended stints in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, South Africa, Mexico and Nicaragua and elsewhere in the last 20 years.
Yet despite his relative comfort with being on the frontlines, Moore told the NewsHour from his hotel room in Cairo that his latest assignment -a six-week trip that took him to the uprisings in Egypt, Bahrain and Libya - might have been his most dangerous. Moore recorded the interview for us after sneaking out of Benghazi, Libya en route back to his home in Denver.

2012 Raytheon Award Video
This video was created to commemorate the 67FS winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement, given to the top air-to-air squadron in the USAF.
The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the pacific ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.

The film offers a response to the major problem of our time: how to galvanize and enlist the global publics in the fight against global warming. Through analyses of swarm activity and social revolution, 'Coalition of the Willing' makes a compelling case for the new online activism and explains how to hand the fight against global warming to the people.

Director's Cut - James Brown music video - It's Man's Man's Man's World
James Brown is a force of nature, a gift from heaven.He invented funk, but it was a symbol of freedom and success for millions of black American in combat for their civic rights, who saw him as a source of hope and pride. I tried to describe the richness of his life.
For this year’s Music Video Challenge, Saatchi & Saatchi in association with Universal Music Enterprises, the James Brown Estate, BUG and Genero.tv bringing together fresh filmmaking talent and iconic music with songs by the legendary James Brown.
The 2012 Challenge was in celebration of the James Brown catalogue being re-released on iTunes in May, and the re-issuing of the classic James Brown Live at the Apollo album later this year.
This is the director's cut version of the video music of James Brown - It's Man's Man's Man's World.

Photographer John Moore is no stranger to combat. As a member of an Associated Press team in 2005, he shared a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography for coverage of the war in Iraq and he's done extended stints in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, South Africa, Mexico and Nicaragua and elsewhere in the last 20 years.
Yet despite his relative comfort with being on the frontlines, Moore told the NewsHour from his hotel room in Cairo that his latest assignment -a six-week trip that took him to the uprisings in Egypt, Bahrain and Libya - might have been his most dangerous. Moore recorded the interview for us after sneaking out of Benghazi, Libya en route back to his home in Denver.

2012 Raytheon Award Video
This video was created to commemorate the 67FS winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement, given to the top air-to-air squadron in the USAF.
The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the pacific ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.

Photographer John Moore is no stranger to combat. As a member of an Associated Press team in 2005, he shared a Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography for coverage of the war in Iraq and he's done extended stints in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, South Africa, Mexico and Nicaragua and elsewhere in the last 20 years.
Yet despite his relative comfort with being on the frontlines, Moore told the NewsHour from his hotel room in Cairo that his latest assignment -a six-week trip that took him to the uprisings in Egypt, Bahrain and Libya - might have been his most dangerous. Moore recorded the interview for us after sneaking out of Benghazi, Libya en route back to his home in Denver.

2012 Raytheon Award Video
This video was created to commemorate the 67FS winning the 2011 Raytheon Trophy for outstanding aerial achievement, given to the top air-to-air squadron in the USAF.
The footage was shot over 1 year of flying with a Sony HD Handycam and GOPRO Hero. The footage was shot entirely by pilots, no combat camera personnel were used. The video was edited with Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD over 2 weeks by Jersey. Footage includes flying and aircraft from both the 67FS "Fighting Cocks" and the 44FS "Vampire Bats", entirely on location at Kadena AB, Japan. Most of the over water footage was filmed while we were raging like demons from hell in the skies over the pacific ocean like our brothers did 70 years before us.

Have you ever wondered about the "30%" headshot protection from the IBH helmet? Well this video was made to see if this helmet actually does anything.
My diagnosis: It fails. If you buy this helmet or any other "Protection" helmet, you are most likely wasting your GP. There is a point twice in this video where it might seem it works, but i'm almost positive it was due to the range of the shot and the accuracy of the gun. It most likely hit his neck twice.

A quick review on the new AK-74M that was just released several days ago with the new patch. It's a great gun actually, and I will put it on par with the G36E, and trust me, thats saying a lot since I think no gun is near the G36E in usefulness.
Accuracy: The same as G36E and Ak47 (which is the best you can get for an assualt rifle)
Power: The same as the G36E (3 to 4 shot kill on the body)
Fire Rate: Faster than the G36E, making it better for close range spraying (and the G36E was already good for that) *** Side note*** Because the fire rate is faster, the spread is more, so either have good aim and spray correctly with this gun, or just tap your mouse with really fast clicking.
Recoil: Less than the G36E, which is great! (Especially with the Itech scope, +3 aiming makes it really great)
Portability: Good, I havn't actually payed much attention to this, but It feels light to me, definitly lighter than the G36E.
Overall: I give this gun a 9.7/10 along with the G36E (9.7/10).
This gun is EQUALLY good in my opinion as the G36E for PROs or people who are experienced with First person shooters.
However, if your an above average player or even a beginner (KDR 0.0 - 1.8), this gun is MUCH better than the G36E. The less recoil makes a phenomenal difference to decent players, making it very deadly in the hands of even a newb.

If you ever get it, you should probably use it. It has a lot less recoil than the regular AK 47, and slightly does more damage (although its insignificant enough to hardly mention). It also has less recoil than the G36E
Power - 4.7/5.0
Accuracy- 4.65/5.0
Portability -2.85/5.0
Fire rate - 3.0/5.0
Recoil - 3.25/5.0 (The lower the number on the recoil, the worse it is, so a 1.5/5.0 is very HIGH recoil and HARD to control).
Spread: Extremely high, just like the regular AK-47. Bad spread.

A review on the G36E Valkyrie.
**THIS GUN IS NOT OVERPOWERED... IT IS OVERACCURATE IF ANYTHING**
**And yes, I think this is the BEST gun in the game**
Accuracy: Gotta love it :D. The best accuracy for an AR in CA is on the G36E. Boy do I love accurate guns.

Power: Above average, a strong 4 hit kill, an easy 3 hit kill if the opponent is damaged in any way (with around 92 hp or lower).
4.0/5.0
Portability: Almost the worst for an Assault rifle, but it works fine still. It feels maybe slightly heavier then the average rifle.
2.9/5.0
Fire Rate: In my opinion, the fire rate is nearly perfect. It's not too fast and not to slow. To fast and it spreads quickly, too slow and you can't kill your opponent fast enough.

Recoil and spread:
- Recoil is fairly strong when scoped. Highly recommended that you simply "tap" your mouse fire button at a fast pace. Try not to make the recoil move diagonally too much. The trick is to keep it going up and down (Full auto can work extremely well at medium range while scoped, but only do this if you KNOW you can hit every bullet).

(*Note that the lower the number for recoil, the worse the recoil is. So for example, recoil with 1.5/5.0 would have terrible recoil and an example would be like the minigun, which is really bad).
Spread is good to bad on the G36E. Its hard to give an exact compliment to it because if you've used the G36E for a while and know how the gun works, the spread is GREAT and you hardly ever miss a target because you can control it so well.
However if you don't know what your doing, its pretty easy to make it spread a lot.
4.2/5.0 (for someone like me)
or
2.7/5.0 (If you have no idea how to control it whatsoever).
Overall: I rate the G36E 4.8/5.0
Many of you might be wondering right now, If I think its the best gun why don't I rate it 5.0/5.0? Well because I am very critical and I try to be unbiased. The closest this gun could ever be to 5.0/5.0 is 4.92 or 4.93, and it would have to be a 2-3 hit kill with 100% accuracy (G36E i think is 97 or 98% accurate) and M4A1 recoil and spread. Not gonna happen : ].
I guess a 5.0 would 1 hit kill with m416 cqb recoil and fire rate.

Hey guys, its Baxstar with another gun review.
This ones on the TAR-21, which I do not like at all. The itself is ok, but compared to other assualt rifles, this one shouldn't be in your first 5 choices.
The major number one problem with this gun is the spread, second being the recoil.
Power: Meh, average.

Recoil: Really terrible. It switches recoil patterns often while shooting, making it hard to predict and control the recoil. It like combining the SCAR recoil with the G36E recoil, it gets messy.

Spread: Dreadful. Ugh, i hate this thing for CQB. In the video I do fairly well because i'm on my "A" game for aiming, but in normal situations, almost every single other gun is better than this one.

Accuracy: The accuracy is ok actually, I don't like the fact that it only comes with an Itech scope, but hey, I wouldn't be using this weapon for long range distances anyway.

Fire rate: Its actually ok, medium pace fire rate. If the spread wasn't so brutal, the damage the fire rate could pack on some hefty damage.

Portability: Not that great actually. It feels slow to me, not much better than carrying a heavy AK 47 with you.

Overall: I give this gun a 3.2/5.0, making it one of the worst you can get lol.
**Note** The MTAR-21, is a totally different gun. For some reason, even though the BARREL is shorter, the accuracy seems to be WAY better, and the spread acts more like a G36E which is GREAT.

I like to melee sometimes and sickles are my 2nd favourite weapon to use.

Power: Above average, strong 4 hit kill.

Accuracy: Its a medium-close ranged weapon. Decent accuracy in all.

Recoil: Average. Its lower than your AK's, G36's, AUG's, but a bit more than K2, M4's and other rifles. I do dislike the sideways recoil though. Not because its hard to control, but because if you tap fast, the sideways recoil could cause your bullet to shoot to the side of the person instead of above where your crosshair is (thats why you should aim for the body most of the time, if the recoil goes up and you shoot again, it will hit their head)

Spread: Really good actually, not much of it at all.

I love this SMG. Its one of my favourites. A good tie between this, UMP, and P90 TR.
Power: Relatively weak. But still good.

Hey guys, Its Baxstar here with another review, but this ones a little special. I did this review in a Montage-like style to help condence my reviews into a shorter time span.
All other montage-style reviews in the future will probably be shorter than this one. I'll try not to go over 3 min, I just felt like explaining some things in this video, plus, I had more footage then just 1 game.

Combat, or fighting, is a purposeful violent conflict meant to establish dominance over the opposition, or to kill the opposition, or drive the opposition away from a location where it is not wanted or needed.
The term combat (French for fight) typically refers to armed conflict between military forces in warfare, whereas the more general term "fighting" can refer to any violent conflict between individuals or nations. Combat violence can be unilateral, whereas fighting implies at least a defensive reaction. However, the terms are often used synonymously along with the term "Battle Ready". A large-scale fight is known as a battle.
Combat may take place under a specific set of rules or be unregulated. Examples of rules include the Geneva Conventions (covering the treatment of soldiers in war), medieval Chivalry, the Marquess of Queensberry rules (covering boxing) and several forms of combat sports.
Combat in warfare involves two or more opposing military organizations, usually fighting for nations at war (although guerrilla warfare and suppression of insurgencies can fall outside this definition). Warfare falls under the laws of war, which govern its purposes and conduct, and protect the rights of soldiers and non-combatants.
Combat may be armed (using weapons), or unarmed (not using weapons). Hand-to-hand combat (melee) is combat at very close range, attacking the opponent with the body (striking, kicking, strangling, etc.) and/or with a melee weapon (knives, swords, batons, etc.), as opposed to a ranged weapon.
Hand-to-hand combat can be further divided into three sections depending on the distance and positioning of the combatants:

Specific speech act structures related to verbal and also physical exchanges are extant in ancient times as well as today.[1] Fixed speech act patterns employed in a verbal exchange are a phenomenon found in historical and modern texts alike. Although conventions change over time and from one culture to the other, ritualised exchanges seem to be part of the basic inventory of language usage, and so it is quite common to find similarities between the way individuals from various cultures engage in a verbal duel. Verbal combat may result in physical combat after a certain extent.

Heaven Shall Burn is a German heavy metal band from Saalfeld, formed in 1996.[2] They combine an aggressive metal sound with lyrics that show a militant support of anti-racism and fighting social injustice.[2] All members of the band are vegan.[3]

Heaven Shall Burn was formed in Autumn 1996, under the name Consense. With the recording of its second demo in early 1997, the band changed its name to Heaven Shall Burn. The name is taken from a Marduk album titled Heaven Shall Burn... When We Are Gathered. In an interview, the band said, "It's not that we're huge Marduk fans, but we liked the name. It sounds a bit provoking and so people ask us again and again for the meaning behind our name. It has been like that since the very beginning. We use the term heaven as a metaphor for some kind of a fake paradise that people create in their heads. Some people close their eyes and don't see the truth surrounding them. So this kind of fake heaven should burn. Some people might think that our name is an anti-religious statement, but it isn't."[4]
In 1998 the band released an MCD entitled "In Battle There Is No Law" followed by a split-LP with "Fall of Serenity" in 1999. Following these releases the band signed with Lifeforce Records, and in 2000 they released their debut album, Asunder. It was followed by a split-CD with their long-time friends Caliban in 2000, as well as the 2002 album Whatever it May Take. In 2002, In Battle, there is No Law was re-released through Circulation Records.
Upon the release of Whatever it May Take, Heaven Shall Burn toured England, South America, and Iceland. There, the band met Ólafur Arnalds, who wrote three Western classical-style interlude parts for its album Antigone: "Echoes," "Risandi Von," and "Deyjandi Von." The three songs consist mostly of violin and piano, although in Echoes and Risandi Von one can hear weak noises of a war raging in the background.
In 2004, the band released "Antigone" through Century Media Records, which featured more of a melodic edge because of more harmonies and Scandinavian-style dual-guitar work. The album was produced by Patrick W. Engel and engineered by Ralf Müller at Rape of Harmony Studios, Germany. It was mixed and mastered by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studio, Denmark.
In December 2005, guitarist Patrick Schleitzer left the band amicably. He was replaced by Alexander Dietz, who had already performed guest vocals on some of the band's prior tracks.
In 2006, Heaven Shall Burn released Deaf to Our Prayers via Century Media Records. It was recorded and mixed by producer Jacob Hansen (Mercenary, Raunchy) and following its release, Deaf To Our Prayers entered the official LP charts in Germany at position 65 and in Greece at position 50.[citation needed] The band supported the album with the Hell on Earth Tour throughout Europe, featuring As I Lay Dying and Evergreen Terrace. They toured with Caliban in December 2006 and played on festivals like the Rock Hard Festival and Wacken Open Air Festival in 2007.
The popular and critically acclaimed album "Whatever it May Take" saw a re-release in 2007. The album was a remix of the original recordings and contained no additional material, with the exception of the addition of the track "io", which was a long-forgotten acoustic piece played by Patrick Schleitzer. The album included new artwork and a new song order.
In February 2008, Iconoclast (Part One: The Final Resistance) was released to positive reviews from critics and fans alike. The album lyrically reviews subjects such as Laicism, Nietzsche's “God is dead” philosophy, heroes of the German Resistance in World War II, and their country's ongoing struggle to reconcile with its past. This is a concept album and each song is related to the story of the Iconoclast, a breaker or destroyer of images, esp. those set up for religious veneration.[5]
In May 2009, Heaven Shall Burn released their first DVD, Bildersturm - Iconoclast II (The Visual Resistance). The DVD contains footage of two concerts – Summerbreeze Festival in Germany and Vienna, Austria – both performed in 2008. A bonus CD was released with live performances from both concerts, as well as special features and documentary footage.
Their latest album, Invictus (Iconoclast III), was released in Germany on 21 May 2010 and in the United States in early June of the same year.
