International Four Days Marches Nijmegen 2012... 160km in 4 days...
The Dutch 30th Battalion Nationale Reserve, one of the battalions of the Korps Nationale Reserve and unit of the 13th Mechanised Brigade, won the first prize as best Dutch Army unit during this march. At the last day of the International Four Days Marches Nijmegen the Canadian and British detachments, followed by the Dutch 30th Battalion Nationale Reserve, start the last 5 kilometers from Charlemagne. They walk down the St Anna Street which sets the stage for the arrival on the last day of the International Four Days Marches Nijmegen. For this occasion, the street is renamed Via Gladiola. The name is a play on the Dutch saying "Death or the Gladioli", referring to Roman times when the gladiolus became a symbol of strength and victory. It now honours those who finish the marches.

Nijmegen de oudste stad stad van Nederland
De stad Nijmegen ligt grotendeels op de linkeroever van de Waal, aan de voet van een stuwwal. Een deel van de gemeente ligt aan de overzijde van de rivier. Het betreft hier de zogenaamde Waalsprong, een recent geannexeerd gebied, waarin zich het dorp Lent en een deel van Oosterhout bevinden. Samen met Arnhem en 18 andere gemeenten in de omgeving vormt Nijmegen de Stadsregio Arnhem Nijmegen (KAN). Nijmegen heeft een lange geschiedenis, die meer dan 2000 jaar teruggaat. Als Ulpia Noviomagus Batavorum kreeg het rond het jaar 100 marktrechten. In 1230 werd Nijmegen vrije rijksstad en in 1402 hanzestad. Sinds de komst van de Radboud Universiteit in 1923 is de stad daarnaast een universiteitsstad. Nijmegen maakt samen met vele andere gemeentes in de omgeving zoals Wijchen en Beuningen deel uit van het Rijk van Nijmegen. bron: Wikipedia

It was a beautiful day for a walking tour of various attractions. In this video, you'll see my friend Alex as we take a short break. Alex offers us a brief history of the city and surrounding area as well as his impressions and hopes for the future. Alex must also deal with a heckler who has insinuated himself into our recording session. Dat krijg je ervan als je als club gaat lopen provoceren: "Zeefduik" in de opstelling , Always look on the bright side na de wedstrijd... HET KEEL DOORSNIJDEN GEBAAR VAN PONY! Piet V. die provoceert richting uitvak. (We komen jou nog wel tegen in NMGN) Dat je dit van supporters kan verwachten oke. Maar als vite$$e zo schaamteloos is, om op zo'n manier sfeer te creëren dan kan je dit verwachten!! Edit: Moest het filmpje er opnieuw opzetten ivm nieuwe beelden, alle comments van het andere filmpje waren helaas niet te redden.
