What to Watch: January 30, 2013
From Fnno.com, this is the Financial News Network. Here's a few things to watch for in the financial world today January 30. Amazon (NASDAQ:AMZN) looking to be a winner in today's trading session after posting its earnings Tuesday. The online retailer reporting EPS of 21 cents on revenue of $21.27 billion, missing the analyst estimate of 28 cents per share on revenue of $22.26 billion. Their earnings were also 45% lower from the same time last year. Despite this bad news though, Amazon's operating income, an important metric indicating business performance, ended taking a big jump, coming in at $405 million, higher than the $260 million a year earlier. This gives great hope to investors in the company who seem to believe Amazon's next quarter will be a great one. Amazon stock jumped as high as nine percent so far today. Research in Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) introducing the Blackberry 10 today, a new device that the company hopes will reinvigorate its smartphone business. The new phone will also boast RIM's new mobile OS as well as new touch screen abilities. But, so far it doesn't seem consumers are too excited about it. According to a new poll by Bite Interactive, about half of the smartphone consumers, or 47 percent, said they were intrigued by the Blackberry's new features. However, only 13 percent of those polled would consider buying one. Investors are feeling optimistic ahead of the announcement today. Currently, RIM stock is up over three percent. Finally, the CEO of ...

What's In The News: January 29, 2013
From Fnno.com, This is the financial news network. Here's what's in the news for Tuesday January 29, 2013. The Wall Street Journal reports US authorities want a settlement of interest-rate-rigging allegations with Royal Bank of Scotland (NYSE:RBS) that would result in a unit of the bank pleading guilty to criminal charges in addition to paying a penalty, sources say. RBS executives are resisting any guilty plea, fearful that it could lead clients to cut off activity with the bank and that it could increase exposure to costly litigation, the sources add. The Wall Street Journal also reports Federal law-enforcement authorities conducted a wide-ranging investigation into whether media companies facilitated insider trading on Wall Street by prematurely releasing market-moving government data, sources say. Among the media companies investigated were Bloomberg LP, Thomson Reuters (NYSE:TRI) and the Dow Jones & Co. unit of News Corp. (NASDAQ:NWSA). Reuters reports Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) will lobby Washington this year to make it harder for law enforcement authorities to gain access to emails and other digital messages. Bloomberg reports Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke's latest round of bond buying will reach $1.14T before he ends the program in the first quarter of 2014, according to median estimates in a Bloomberg survey of economists. He'll continue with purchases of $40B a month of mortgage bonds and $45B a month of Treasuries, according to the survey of 44 economists. Finally ...

From Fnno.com, this is the Financial News Network. Here's a few things to watch for in the financial world today January 29. American car maker Ford Motor (NYSE:F) greatly exceeding expectations for its fourth-quarter earnings. The company saw earnings per share of 31 cents, beating the consensus estimate of 25 cents. Revenue for the quarter rose to $36.5 billion, also above the Wall Street expectation of $32.94 billion. This marks the 14th consecutive profitable quarter for the company despite some troubles in its international business. For the year, the company reported a profit of $5.7 billion, only down $307 million from last year...a good sign that consumers are finally starting to buy more cars in an economy that has yet to really pick up steam. Hostess Brands has started to sell off some of its assets, and will continue to sell even more. The Twinkie-maker said Tuesday United States Bakery Inc. has offered to buy some of its bread brands for $28.9 million while McKee Foods Corp. agreed to pay $27.5 million for its Drake's brand. McKee, the maker of Little Debbie snacks, said it is excited to add Drake's snacks to its lineup, saying it will have a strong future at their company. The proposed deals are still subject to court approval. The remaining Hostess business segments will be sold at a later date, including its Wonderbread brand which Flower Foods has offered to buy for $360 million. A War For Your Soul-Birmingham version
Filmmaker and public speaker Reggie Bullock is one of the most sought after motivational speakers in the United States, traveling to over 60 cities in the past two years.
Reggie’s short film "A War For Your Soul" is a stirring, inspirational video for today’s generation. Over 10 million internet viewers have watched “A War For Your Soul” in 2 years. The video has garnered praise from mayors, city leaders, youth and civic organizations and almost every major country around the world, sparking dialogue in encouraging adults to play a more active role in educating children.
On Oct. 14th, Popular radio host Michael Baisden said "This is a must see film".
Reggie has received the "key to the city" award from the cities of Macon GA., Riviera Beach Fl. and Corpus Christi TX.
Reggie is currently active as a noted speaker, conducting speaking engagements throughout the country. For speaking engagements contact www.warforyoursoul.com or reggie.bullock@warforyoursoul.com
This video was created to inspire young at-risk African-Americans not to fall prey to some of the problems they face in society. The "Master of Darkness" represents that abstract concept of evil that has the potential to reside in the consciousness of mankind.
The use of the images of Richard Pryor and NAS, were used to show how we have publicly displayed the "N" word over the course of time. Richard Pryor, before his death, had gone on record to publicly denounce his use of the word, and the Rapper NAS ( one of the few socially conscious rappers ) intentions of wearing the jacket had nothing to do with the glorification of the word. I have enjoyed some of Pryor's masterful story telling and I have also enjoyed some of the thought provoking music from NAS.
This video should not to be used to divide people (Black & White).
This video should not be used to criticize all aspects of hip-hop culture.
This video should not be used to allow the rest of society to escape from their responsibility, to help with financial & academic support.
If used properly, this video will allow our youth to see some of the horrific conditions that their ancestors fought through and some of the horrific conditions they face today.
An extensive commentary about the film can be seen at www.warforyoursoul.com
**THIS VIDEO IS NOT FOR SALE & I AM NOT ACCEPTING DONATIONS FOR THE FILM, I ONLY WANT THE MESSAGE TO REACH AS MANY PEOPLE AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT ANY HIDDEN POLITICAL OR FINANCIAL AGENDA.

Timelapse Croatia - showreel / teaser
[[EDIT]]
Just a few words, since we've been flooded with questions, comments, e-mails, tweets etc.
First of all, thanks to everyone on such really overwhelmingly positive reactions!
The movie you're about to see is a preview of what we would like to do, in regards of representing Croatia as a destination in a different way.
No one commissioned us to do this, we put our own work, time, gear, money and ideas into it. Because of this we chose the locations, the editing and music as we saw fit.
Of course, what we ended up putting in this video is merely a fragment of what Croatia has to offer. As photographers who have traveled across our country from one end to another, we are well aware that there is so much more to be filmed. And we are more than happy to do it - after all, we're two guys who really love their job. It's simply that the pace at which we can finish this project will depend mostly on if we can get financial support, or we'll have to figure out some other way to pull this off.
Explaining timelapse technique to an average person, or a potential client can be very hard. Even most of our colleagues have no real sense of how demanding timelapses can be. So we decided to skip on the whining and tried to show what timelapse is really about and how visually attractive it can be.
Almost a full year of work went into this. Months and months of work and hundreds of thousands photographs for a few minutes of video. Sounds silly, but that's basically how it is. For example, we spent last 3 months literally sitting at our workstations editing and rendering frame after frame, shot after shot, location after location. Crazy people :)
So, if by the end of this year we end up with another 4 minutes of worthwhile material, we'll be more than happy to share!
Until then, lay back, relax and enjoy!

Percebeiros (Sea Bites) 1920x1080
http://www.enpiedeguerra.tv/percebeiros/
