Origin of Music Sama Veda .Gāndharvaveda -Natya Shastra-Gandharv Vivaah !Bliss.
en.wikipedia.org Samaveda's Upaveda (technical manual) is Gāndharvaveda that deals not only with the topics of music but also of dance and theatre. en.wikipedia.org The Natya Shastra (Sanskrit: Nātyaśāstra नाट्य शास्त्र) is an ancient Indian treatise on the performing arts, encompassing theatre, dance and music. It was written during the period between 200 BC and 200 AD in classical India and is traditionally attributed to the Sage Bharata. The Natya Shastra is incredibly wide in its scope. While it primarily deals with stagecraft, it has come to influence music, classical Indian dance, and literature as well. It covers stage design, music, dance, makeup, and virtually every other aspect of stagecraft. It is very important to the history of Indian classical music because it is the only text which gives such detail about the music and instruments of the period. Thus, an argument can be made that the Natya Shastra is the foundation of the fine arts in India. The most authoritative commentary on the Natya Shastra is Abhinavabharati by Abhinavagupta. The text, which now contains 6000 slokas, is attributed to the muni (sage) Bharata and is believed to have been written during the period between 200 BC and 200 AD. The Natya Shastra is based upon the much older Gandharva Veda (appendix to Sama Veda) which contained 36000 slokas.[1] Unfortunately there are no surviving copies of the Natya Veda. Though many scholars believe most slokas were transmitted only through the ...

The Voynich Manuscript
en.wikipedia.org Beinecke Rare Book and Manuscript Library en.wikipedia.org I read about this book a while back. no one can figure out who wrote it or where it came from. do you? "History has it that Emperor Rudolf II of Bohemia bought an extraordinary document, at the beginning of the 17th century, for 600 gold ducets. Why he paid so much for something he could not possibly read is a mystery, but it is undoubtedly the only manuscript of its type in existence, the language used in it having been found nowhere else in the world. This is the Voynich, long dubbed the 'Most mysterious Manuscript in the World'. Experts now feel that the style of calligraphy and drawing, as well as the parchment type and ink pigments, suggest strongly that this document was initially produced in the 13th century. The book is 235 pages long, full of colored images of strange astrological charts, prancing nude women, unknown plants, and even live cells that look as if they have observed through a microscopic lens. It is also written in an encoded script that nobody has ever managed to decipher. The alphabet used is thought to comprise either 19 or 28 letters, but has nothing whatever in common with any known language on Earth. With the strange zodiacal signs and the obvious recipes for herbal preparations, some think the Voynich could well be the definitive textbook of alchemy -- but still, 800 years after it was written, not one person actually knows."

Bach: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring (arr. Miller)
I am performing Bach's famous "Jesu" chorale to demonstrate the proper tempo. Most performers play this like a funeral dirge, when in fact it is really unabashedly in the syle of an allegro. For more on Bach's tempos, please visit my website.
This is a very nice arrangement by Beatrice A. Miller. It is less difficult than the more famous Myra Hess version, but is still a very good version (ideal for intermediate-level piano students who can't play Hess' version). I also play this version on the organ (I am a church organist) with the bass line in the pedals and changing manuals during the chorale interludes. I have played this work thousands of times and never get tired of it.
This beloved work appears in Cantata 147, "Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben", which translates to "Heart and Mouth and Deed and Life". The famous "Jesu" chorale appears at the end of both halves (movements 6 and 10). It is in the bright key of G major, has the word "Joy" ("Freude" in German) in its title, and is notated in 9/8 which is typical of correntes and gigues, both fast styles.
Why it is traditionally played like a funeral dirge is something I've never figured out. One would think the way it is often played that the text would describe Jesus suffering at the cross. This, however, is not the case at all. Consider the first four lines of the chorale. Note the words "desiring", "bright", "aspiring", and "light". A sad and melancholy work this is definitely not!
Jesu, joy of man's desiring,
Holy Wisdom, Love most bright;
Drawn by Thee, our souls, aspiring,
Soar to uncreated light.
The author of the Wikipedia article on "Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring" apparently also disagrees with the traditional slow tempo for this work, as he/she writes: "Today, it is often performed at wedding ceremonies slowly and reverently, in defiance of the effect suggested by Bach in his original scoring, for voices with trumpet, oboes, strings, and continuo."
I should also like to point out that I have played this work at countless weddings (mostly on the organ) at the exact same tempo I play here and have never received one complaint of it being too fast. I have also played it at countless funerals and memorial services as a postlude at this tempo and have never received one complaint.
My analysis of Cantata 147 as well as all Bach's other works indicate that Bach's standard or "default" allegro speed was 84 beats per minute. Indeed, this is the ideal speed for "Jesu" because it is fast enough to be joyous but at the same time does not quite border on being too fast. (Nicholas Harnoncourt goes to the extreme and conducts it even faster than this at about 96 beats per minute. Many of the early music gurus have become a little over-zealous with their tempo choices.)
So, please enjoy this famous and beloved work in a nice transcription at the tempo and character at which it was intended, allegro and joyous!

Creating a Brandable Customer Experience by Stan Slap Company
Your Goal:
BECOMING BRANDED IN A COMPETITIVE MARKET
The Problem:
A brand is the creation of faith in two groups that absolutely cannot be fooled: your employee culture and your customer culture. The reason branding strategies don’t work is they don’t look where these cultures look to decide whether to grant the leap of faith required to become branded. Branding is a tribute, not a verb. Your company can’t just claim or demand to be branded; it has to be given to you.
There is nothing you sell that a customer can’t choose to buy somewhere else or do without—except an intimate, values-based relationship between customer and company. That relationship can’t easily be deconstructed by your competition and competitors can’t use price, size, marketing or sales to bust it apart. To be a successful brand you must be branded not only for what you sell but for how you sell it.

East-West Standoff over Syria and Iran: Explosive Diplomacy and Brinkmanship at the Brink of World War III.
The systematic Manufacturing of War, challenging Russia and China in Race for either Global Full Spectrum Dominance or Global Full Spectrum Devastation. A Comprehensive Analysis.
By Christof Lehmann. One can not emphasize it often enough. Both the crisis in Syria, the crisis between West and East over Syria, and the explosive Iran nuclear debates are symptoms of a long-planned, cynically and systematically implemented US/NATO war plan against Syria, Lebanon, Iran, Russia, and ultimately China. In the light of the tense and confrontational atmosphere between NATO/GCC, Syria, Iran, Russia and China, and before analyzing the latest evolutions of the crisis over Syria, it is incumbent to take a few steps step back. Without an understanding of the genesis of what is rapidly developing towards a serious threat of a global war it is unlikely that the warranted diplomatic as well as popular actions are taken.
Genesis – Pax Americana – The Race for Global Full Spectrum Dominance.
When Russia´s Chief of Staff states that Russia will reserve itself the right to a first strike against the recently activated NATO missile defense shield it is not a prop from the requisites of the Russian diplomatic box of tricks, used with the purpose to achieve the one or the other trade benefit, the relief of sanctions against an allied Iran or any other demand. It is a clear and unequivocal demand for guaranties for the safety of Russia and it´s allies. (1) It is a demand from a Russia that has been under threat evener since the discontinuation of the USSR, and the subsequent US and NATO demand for a Pax Americana and Global Full Spectrum Dominance. The reason why many Westerners have not perceived the fact that Russia has been threatened is, because the transgressions against Russian security have largely been marketed as initiatives for peace and cooperation, or defense against terrorism and rogue states, and who could be against terrorism and rogue states. One can not emphasize the importance of Vladimir Putin´s speech at the International Security Conference in Munich in 2007 enough, as a basis for understanding that NATO systematically, cynically and willfully has committed the one foreign affairs, domestic affairs, economic, as well as geo-political, security and military transgression against Russia after the other. Often under the guise of free trade, of a supposed “Partnership for Peace”, war on terrorism, human rights, and democracy.(2)
That the expansionism and threatening posture was not only designed to impress Russia, but that it would be scrupulously used by both the US and NATO, including Germany, that the alliance would not be shying away from manufacturing covert, and initiating over military aggressions in nations that are allied to Russia or that provide geo-political advantages for Russia or China has become evident since the war on Yugoslavia. A war that has been sold to the Western Public as a war for human rights, freedom and democracy.
Yugoslavia: A Missile for China and a Finger for Russia – China, one may recall, has gotten a warning shot straight into it´s Belgrade Embassy. The signal was clear. “Do not harbor the President of a Sovereign Nation who is on our death list and do not dare to interfere when we wage war“. The Chinese Embassy in Belgrade was hit by a cruise missile in an attempt to “decapitate” the Yugoslavian “regime“. (3)
Russian onvoy Stopped at Kosovo Border
The fact that NATO warfare doctrine for establishing the Pax Americana would be based on using the guise of human rights, of constructing false reports of massacres, or even committing massacres that are blamed on the targeted nations government and of political show trials at the ICC became obvious with the charade of a trial against former Yugoslavian president Slobodan Milosevic. Since his trial threatened to turn into a public relations disaster for NATO, of course, President Milosevic conveniently died while in captivity in The Haag, and after vain Russian protests against his treatment and trial.
Subsequently to the successful “Balkanization” of Yugoslavia, NATO is now occupying Kosovo, where it facilitated the establishment of a de-facto, according to international law highly questionable new state. Regular Russian protests abut even more regular human rights abuses and violence against the civilian Serb population in Kosovo, like the issuing of shoot to kill orders against civilian protesters, (4 ) or the harassment of humanitarian aid convoys (5 ) are falling on deaf ears in NATO member states. Complicit or should we say co-opted Western Main Stream Media cover it up. After all, when the Pentagon invests millions in
