Andy Runton is the creator of the graphic novel series Owly, first published in 2005 by Top Shelf. Before he worked on Owly he was a graphic designer. His artwork is a reflection of his affection for wildlife. Andy currently resides in Atlanta, GA. In 2005, Runton won the Ignatz Award for Promising New Talent. His work was also nominated for "Best Publication for a Younger Audience" in Eisner Awards the same year, which he won in 2006.^[1]

Jamey Johnson (born July 14, 1975) is an American Grammy Award nominated country music artist. Signed to BNA Records in 2005, Johnson made his debut with his single "The Dollar," the title track to his 2006 album The Dollar. Johnson was dropped from BNA in 2006 and signed to Mercury Nashville Records in March 2008, releasing his second album, the gold-certified That Lonesome Song. This album has produced two more singles: the Top 10 hit "In Color" and "High Cost of Living." In addition to most of his own material, Johnson has co-written singles for Trace Adkins, George Strait, James Otto, Joe Nichols and Jessie James.

Johnson was born on July 14, 1975, in Enterprise, Alabama, but raised in Montgomery, Alabama. From an early age, he was influenced by country acts such as Alabama and Alan Jackson, the latter of whom was the first act that he saw in concert.^[2] After graduating high school (Jeff Davis High School), Johnson attended Jacksonville State University, the same university from which Alabama lead singer Randy Owen graduated.^[2] During his time at Jacksonville State University, he was a member of Sigma Nu in the Iota Lambda chapter.

Johnson quit college after two years and served in the United States Marine Corps Reserve for eight years.^[2] He served in Company L, 3rd Battalion 23rd Marines as a mortarman (MOS 0341) and attained the rank of corporal. He would often play original songs for his fellow Marines and has kept in contact with many of them. He wrote two songs on his initial self-released album that mention his Marine Corps service. After exiting the Marines, he began playing country music in various bars throughout Montgomery; one of his first gigs was opening for David Allan Coe.^[2] By 2000, Johnson had moved to Nashville, Tennessee, in pursuit of a career in country music. He also self-released an album called They Call Me Country. One of his first connections was with Greg Perkins, a fiddler who had played for Tanya Tucker and other artists. Perkins invited Johnson to sing as a duet partner on a demo tape; the other duet partner with whom he sang was Gretchen Wilson.^[2] Songs for which Johnson sang demos include "Songs About Me" (cut by Trace Adkins) and "That's How They Do It in Dixie" (cut by Hank Williams, Jr. with Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson, and Van Zant).^[2]

In addition, Johnson had made connections with producer and songwriter Buddy Cannon, who helped him land a songwriting contract.^[3] Among Johnson's first cuts as a songwriter was "Honky Tonk Badonkadonk," which Adkins released from his 2005 album Songs About Me. That song he co-wrote along with hit songwriter Dallas Davidson and fellow country singer-songwriter Randy Houser, who later worked with Johnson again co-writing "My Cowboy" for country pop singer Jessie James for her self-titled debut album.

By 2005, Johnson had also been signed to a recording contract with BNA Records. His first single, entitled "The Dollar," was released that year, followed by his Buddy Cannon-produced debut album (also entitled The Dollar) in March 2006. "The Dollar" went on to peak at #14 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs charts. The album's second single, "Rebelicious," failed to enter the charts and Johnson was dropped from BNA.

After the loss of his record deal, Johnson divorced his wife and took on a reclusive lifestyle, residing in a friend's house while working on his songwriting.^[4] He wrote several songs for other artists. In 2006, George Strait reached #1 on the Country chart with "Give It Away," a song which Johnson co-wrote with Bill Anderson and Cannon. This song became Strait's 51st #1 on the Billboard country charts, setting a new record for most #1s on that chart.

In 2007, Trace Adkins charted with two more songs that Johnson co-wrote: "Ladies Love Country Boys" and "I Got My Game On," the former being Adkins' first #1 in 10 years. Also in 2007, Joe Nichols reached Top 20 with "Another Side of You," another song co-written by Johnson. This song was the first single on Nichols's album Real Things, which also contained "She's All Lady," a song that Johnson originally recorded on The Dollar.

Johnson was part of the Fox TV television series Nashville,^[5] which was cancelled after two episodes in September 2007.

Johnson released an album in 2008, That Lonesome Song, which was only made available online.^[4] The album drew the attention of Mercury Nashville Records, who signed him to a record deal in 2008. His first single for the label, "In Color," was released in March 2008. This song, which Johnson co-wrote with Lee Thomas Miller and James Otto, entered Top 40 in June 2008, and That Lonesome Song was physically released in August of that year. "In Color" peaked at #9 on the Country chart in January 2009 and was followed a month later by "High Cost of Living," which managed to crack the Top 40, but only reaching #34. By April 2009, That Lonesome Song was certified Gold by the RIAA.

A fifth single, "My Way to You," was issued in July 2009. The song was released to radio on July 13, 2009, and debuted at #56 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. The song peaked at #52 in September 2009.

Johnson was nominated for the 2009 CMA Awards New Artist of the Year, and has been nominated for the 2010 Academy of Country Music Top New Solo Vocalist.

Johnson's single "Playing the Part," was released in summer 2010 and included on The Guitar Song, released September 14, 2010. The music video for the single was released in October, and was directed by Matthew McConaughey, who also stars in the video as a dancing gorilla.

Johnson is the supporting act on Kid Rock's 2011 Born Free Tour, accompanying Rock on a duet or two most concerts.

Johnson is a main stage act on Willie Nelson's Country Throwdown May–July 2011.

Johnson received three Grammy Award nominations at the 51st Grammy Awards: Best Country Album for That Lonesome Song, and Best Country Song and Best Male Country Vocal Performance for "In Color."^[14] "In Color" won the Academy of Country Music's 2009 award for Song of the Year and the same award during the 2009 Country Music Association Awards. Going into 2010, Johnson received two more Grammy Award nominations for the 52nd Grammy Awards: Best Country Song and Best Male Country Vocal Performance, both for his 2009 single "High Cost of Living."^[15]

Taddy Porter is an American rock band formed in 2007 in Stillwater, Oklahoma, United States. The band members are Andy Brewer (lead vocal/guitar), Joe Selby (lead guitar/backing vocals), Doug Jones (drums), and Kevin Jones (bass). The band describes their sound as a mix of classic rock and blues in a modern-rock setting.

Taddy Porter was initially envisioned as the duo of Andy Brewer and Doug Jones, but after taking guitar lessons from Selby, Brewer decided to bring him on as lead guitarist and the three invited Jones' brother, Kevin, to fill out the quartet.^[1] The name of the band was chosen after Andy noticed it on a bar beer list and believed it fit the band. The band originally began building their act at Dirty's Tavern, a local bar in their hometown of Stillwater.

In December 2007 they recorded a 4-track EP, Monocle, produced by Trent Bell at Bell Labs Recording Studio in Norman, Oklahoma.^[2]

In late 2009 Scott Frazier of Overtone Music Group was sent to Oklahoma City to see another band. Taddy Porter approached him and asked him if he would watch their support set. Frazier was so impressed he signed them to a management contract within a few days.

Frazier's partner, Rick Smith had this assessment of the band, “This band is going to be the biggest one in my 35 years of doing this. This is truly something special. This is Paul Rodgers 1969, if Free came from Stillwater, Okla., or if Joe Cocker had a baby with Robert Plant, it would be Andy Brewer. All the successful great rock bands of the last 30 years have had that dual focus — whether it’s starting with Jagger and Richards, or Lennon and McCartney or Tyler and Perry or Axl and Slash. You have to have the two front guys in Andy and Joe. Joe will be one of the quintessential guitar players of his generation. This is a band that only comes around like once in a generation. They’re that special.”^[3]

The band was signed to a record deal with independent label Primary Wave Records, which not only allows the band to retain the rights to its songs, but also includes distribution through EMI records.

The band was also placed as the "freshman" act on The Class Of 2009 Tour with Red, Pop Evil and Saving Abel. The "Class Of" tours was the collective brainchild of Scott Frazier, Rick Smith and Larry Mestel of Primary Wave Music Management along with Justin Hirschman from Artist Group International. The concept is to bring together rock artists who have had substantial Top Ten hits at radio in the current year as well as one act who is provided an opportunity to launch its act. The 2009 tour took place from October 27 through December 19, 2009.

The band's debut single "Shake Me" was featured on Monday Night Football on December 21, 2009. It was also used in episode 24 of the ABC sitcom Cougar Town on May 24, 2010 (previously "In The Morning" had been used in episodes 18 and 21.) "Shake Me" was also featured in the NBC show Chase.

During the 2010 Major League Baseball season "Shake Me" has been used by New York Mets pitcher Mike Pelfrey while warming up and also when batting at Citi Field. "I was looking for a warm-up song and I decided to go with 'Shake Me' by a killer new band named Taddy Porter. It sounds huge in Citifield and it has been working out great," says Pelfrey. Pelfrey's pitching coach at Double A Binghamton in 2006 was Mark Brewer, Andy's father. (Andy's grandfather was Jim Brewer, a relief pitcher who spent 17 years in the major leagues.)

The band had two songs ("King Louie" and "Mean Bitch") featured in the seventh season premiere of Entourage on HBO June 27, 2010, and two songs ("Railroad Queen" and "King Louie") can be heard in the upcoming John Cena movie "Legendary".

On July 27, 2010 it was announced that Taddy Porter would tour with Slash and Myles Kennedy for eight dates in September 2010.^[4]

In the Autumn 2010, the band will be touring with Canadian band Finger Eleven on select tour dates, as well as with Evans Blue.^[5] They will also open for Alter Bridge on select dates in the United States.

Model Chelsea Tallarico, daughter of Aerosmith lead singer and American Idol judge Steven Tyler, is featured in the band's 2011 music video for the song "Long Slow Drag."

Band members are planning to start recording for their next album after their current tour.

Roger Creager (born July 25, 1971) is an award-winning Texas Country singer and songwriter.

Biography[link]

Roger aspired to become a country music singer since he was six years old. He started learning how to play piano in the second grade, but didn't learn guitar until he was a student at Tuloso-Midway High School. He was always found singing to himself during his early years, since he was shy around others.^[1] After high school, Roger attended Sam Houston State University and earned a degree in business. Roger went on to Texas A&M University in College Station to earn a degree in agriculture. In College Station, the Texas Music Revolution helped Roger become a successful musician.^[1] Since the release of his first album in 1998, Roger has become a fixture on the Texas Music scene, becoming known for his high energy performances and cult following.

Roger and his band invite fans every summer to travel with them to Playa del Carmen, Mexico. In August 2006 Roger traveled to Africa and climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro. Back home, the band continued to tour without Roger under the name The Kilimanjaros. In the summer of 2007 Roger traveled to France to take part in the Festival Country Rendez-Vous.

Roger currently lives in Katy, Texas.
