West Australia is a land of geographic enormity and Natural wonder. Australia belongs to the oldest landmass in the world. Some 100 million years ago, a huge piece broke away from the indigenous continent called Gondwana, and so isolated. Australia preserving a face which has not changed for more than a million years. And this is exactly what Western Australia is all about. The existing civilization is not all that impressive, yet the country’s flora and fauna is phenomenal.

In 1933, two thirds of West Australians voted to leave the Federation, however the proposal was rejected by the British Crown who said it couldn't support it because "it wasn't in the interests of the entire population of Australia".
Emboldened by the hard border, a new secession party has formed in WA ahead of the 2021 state election.
It's not the first time there have been calls for Western Australia to leave the Federation – but is it actually possible and what would it look like?
Reporter Ben Gubana breaks down the case for secession.

Description: Performing arts are a form of art in which artists use their voices, bodies or inanimate objects to convey artistic expression. It is different from visual arts, which is when artists use paint, canvas or various materials to create physical or static art objects. Performing arts include a range of disciplines which are performed in front of a live audience. Theatre, music, dance and object manipulation, and other kinds of performances are present in all human cultures. The history of music and dance date to pre-historic times whereas circus skills date to at least Ancient Egypt. Many performing arts are performed professionally. Performance can be in purpose built buildings, such as theatres and opera houses, on open air stages at festivals, on stages in tents such as circuses and on the street. Live performances before an audience are a form of entertainment. The development of audio and video recording has allowed for private consumption of the performing arts. The performing arts often aim to express one's emotions and feelings.

Performance art relates to artworks that are created through actions performed by the artist or other participants, which may be live or recorded, spontaneous or scripted.
In the 1960s, performance was seen as fundamentally different from the art that could be collected or shown by art museums. It was live and ephemeral, challenging traditional notions of art.
But today performance has come to be seen as more a set of strategies available to contemporary artists, one that is not inherently different from other art forms and not at all beyond what a museum can and should show.
Now an accepted part of the visual art world, the term has since been used to also describe film, video, photographic and installation-based artworks through which the actions of artists, performers or the audience are conveyed.

'Performance at Tate: Into the Space of Art' explores how concepts of art have changed in relation to recent shifts in artistic production and how artists have responded to the possibilities offered by museums.
The project offers essays and case studies, and publishes audio, films and videos, photographs, museum documents and reviews drawn from Tate's Archive, showing the richness and depth of the gallery's engagement with performance over half a century.

When you check all the boxes on paper, but have nothing to show for it, how do you define success? Vie Boheme uses the power of performance to coax her audience into a state of empathy, better understanding the lessons learned by struggling through life like swimming in honey. Vie Boheme eliminates the boundary between the seen and heard to reveal vulnerability and authenticity. Her sound is a fusion of Soul, Funk, Jazz, R&B; and Pop music blended with athletic agility and choreographed expression. Viie uses poetry, monologue and song in collaboration with dance to explore complex and sometimes dark narratives. She has choreographed and performed with the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra, The Guthrie Theater with The Moving Company and has choreographed for The Children’s Theater. Vie has been co-creative director for Stokley Williams and a dancer with Camille A. Brown & Dancers. Despite its small size, Cyprus enjoys a dynamic performing arts scene.
Established in 2006, the Paravan Theatre Company explores experimental ways of producing theatre, performance and visual arts.
It recently took part in the Nicosia Pop Festival with a production of Nicolai Gogol's 'The Overcoat', adapted to modern times against the background of the economic crisis.
"The performance took place in an old coffee shop that has shut down. We present a double story - Nicolai Gogol's 'The Overcoat' and at the same time the story of what happened in Nicosia, after the recent financial crisis, what happened to this particular coffee shop and what people went through in these difficult times," explained Paravan's Artistic Director, Melita Couta.
The Mitos Theater Group recently took part in the EU-backed culture programme with the project 'Songs of My Neighbours'.
"The idea of this European project is to say, 'If I sing the songs of my neighbour, who lives in my country and with whom I am in conflict, will there be any change in our relationship?' We have chosen, as our neighbours, the Turkish Cypriots. Beyond the propaganda and the phantoms with which our generation has been brought up, we want to see clearly who our neighbours, the Turkish Cypriots, really are," said Mitos Artistic Director, Elena Agathokleous.
'Humans Being' is the latest project by dance company Pelma.
Choreographed by Lia Haraki, it stands as a reminder that we are all made of the same flesh and bone, we all share similar fears and thoughts, we are all united as a species.
"'Humans Being' isn't just about Western society. It's about all of us, every human being. It reminds us about very basic physical characteristics. Our breath is the central element. It is a dance journey with very simple elements, like breathing. The performance also describes how difficult breathing can be and how bodies can be connected with one another," said Haraki.
