Adam Sandler
Adam Richard Sandler (born September 9, 1966) is an American actor, comedian, screenwriter, musician and film producer. After becoming a Saturday Night Live cast member, Sandler went on to star in several Hollywood feature films that grossed over $100 million at the box office. He is best known for his comedic roles, such as in the films Billy Madison (1995), Happy Gilmore (1996), The Waterboy (1998), Big Daddy (1999), and Mr. Deeds (2002), though he has ventured into more dramatic territory. In 1999, Sandler founded Happy Madison, a film and television production company that has produced numerous films and developed the 2007 television series Rules of Engagement.
Adam Sandler was born in Brooklyn, New York to Jewish parents, Stanley, an electrical engineer, and Judy Sandler, a nursery school teacher. When he was five, his family moved to Manchester, New Hampshire, where he attended Manchester Central High School. He found he was a natural comic, and nurtured his talent while at New York University by performing regularly in clubs and on campuses. Sandler graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in 1988.

Alex Borstein
Alexandrea "Alex" Borstein (born February 15, 1973) is an American actress, voice actress, writer and comedian.
Well known for her long-running role as Lois Griffin on the animated television series Family Guy, and as a cast member on the sketch comedy series MADtv as Ms Swan. A native of Highland Park, Illinois, Borstein is a graduate of San Francisco State University, where she studied rhetoric. She was trained in improvisational comedy at the ACME Comedy Theatre, near Hollywood, California, and was selected to join MADtv after being scouted by talent agents who noticed her work at the theatre. She was a writer and voice actor for several television shows, including Casper, Pinky and the Brain and Power Rangers: Zeo, before joining the cast of MADtv as a featured player, and later as a repertory player in 1997.
As an actress, she has made appearances in such films as Killers, Good Night, and Good Luck, Catwoman, and Dinner for Schmucks.
Borstein was born in Highland Park, Illinois, a suburb north of the city of Chicago, in 1973 (according to her own official website). Her parents, Julie and Ian Borstein, are both mental health professionals. She was raised in a Jewish family. She attended San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California.

Alex Cooper
Alexander Cooper, FAIA often credited as Alex Cooper, is an American architect and urban designer.
In his piece on Cooper in The New York Times, Paul Goldberger wrote that Cooper "just might be the most influential architect in New York right now. Surely, no architect is having as much impact, not only on the design of individual buildings, but on the shape of wide swaths of the city."
After graduating from Yale College, Cooper got a Master of Architecture degree from Yale School of Architecture.
Soon after, Cooper began work in the public sector for the City of New York, first as a member of the New York City Planning Commission, then as Director of the Urban Design Group of the New York City Department of City Planning, and finally as Director of Design for New York's Housing and Development Administration (now the New York City Department of Buildings).
Cooper's private practice began in 1979, when he founded Alexander Cooper & Associates in New York City which, since the partnership with his Yale School of Architecture classmate Jaquelin T. Robertson, is now called Cooper, Robertson & Partners. Link to CRP

Alex Kurtzman
Alex Kurtzman (born September 7, 1973) is an American film and television writer, producer and director.
Kurtzman was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, where he met his high school friend and long time collaborator Roberto Orci. He attended Wesleyan University.
In 2011, Forbes magazine described Orci and Kurtzman as "Hollywood's Secret Weapons" who together "are the quiet force behind $3 billion in box office." He and Orci frequently work with J. J. Abrams and Michael Bay on projects.
Kurtzman, along with Abrams and Orci, co-created the FOX science-fiction series Fringe. He currently serves as consulting producer to the show.

Batman
Batman is a fictional character, a comic book superhero created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger. The character first appeared in Detective Comics #27 (May 1939), and since then has appeared primarily in publications by DC Comics. Originally referred to as "The Bat-Man" and still referred to at times as "The Batman", he is additionally known as "The Caped Crusader", "The Dark Knight", and "The World's Greatest Detective," among other titles.
In the original version of the story and the vast majority of retellings, Batman's secret identity is Bruce Wayne, an American millionaire (later billionaire) playboy, industrialist, and philanthropist. Having witnessed the murder of his parents as a child, he swore revenge on criminals, an oath tempered with the greater ideal of justice. Wayne trains himself both physically and intellectually and dons a bat-themed costume in order to fight crime. Batman operates in the fictional American Gotham City, assisted by various supporting characters including his crime-fighting partner, Robin, his butler Alfred Pennyworth, the police commissioner Jim Gordon, and occasionally the heroine Batgirl. He fights an assortment of villains such as the Joker, the Penguin, the Riddler, Two-Face, Poison Ivy and Catwoman. Unlike most superheroes, he does not possess any superpowers; he makes use of intellect, detective skills, science and technology, wealth, physical prowess, martial arts skills, an indomitable will, fear, and intimidation in his continuous war on crime.

Benjamin Bratt (born December 16, 1963) is an American actor. He is most famous for his role as Rey Curtis on the TV series Law & Order; and his appearances in the movies Miss Congeniality, Demolition Man, Blood in Blood Out, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Traffic, and Piñero.
Bratt was born in San Francisco, California, the son of Eldy (née Banda), a nurse, and Peter Bratt, Sr., a sheet metal worker. Bratt's mother is a Peruvian Indigenous activist of the Quechua ethnic group; born in Peru, she moved to the U.S. at age nine. His father was an American of German and English descent. They married December 30, 1960, in San Francisco, but divorced in September 1967. Bratt's paternal grandfather, George Cleveland Bratt (March 5, 1893 – March 29, 1984), was a Broadway actor who married his grandmother Wiltrude Hildner on August 6, 1920, in Detroit, Michigan.
As a child, Bratt went with his mother and siblings to participate in the 1969 Native American occupation of Alcatraz. Today Bratt is an active supporter of such Native American causes as the American Indian College Fund and We Shall Remain, a mini-series and multi-media project, narrated by Bratt, that establishes Native history as an essential part of American history from PBS' acclaimed series American Experience.

William S. "Bill" Muller (1964–2007) was an American journalist and film critic, primarily for the Arizona Republic newspaper. He switched positions from reporter to film critic in 2000.
Bill Muller was born in New Jersey, grew up in Florida and Texas, and received a degree in political science from the University of Texas. He began his journalism career at the Dallas Times Herald as a crime reporter. Then, he worked at the News and Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina for two years.
In 1994, he joined the Arizona Republic, where he was an investigative reporter, and, starting in 2000, a film critic. He resided in Phoenix, Arizona with his wife Deborah, a former movie studio publicist, and their two children.
Muller covered public utilities during the late 1990s for the Republic, including the issue of power industry deregulation. His credits also include an award-winning profile of U.S. Senator John McCain, articles exposing public corruption, and a regular column devoted to fantasy football. Byron Mann
Byron Mann (Chinese: 文峰; pinyin: Wén Fēng) is an actor who has made films in both Hollywood and Asia. He is perhaps best known for his performance as Ryu in Street Fighter.
Mann attended a British all-boys high school, where he was active in community theatre as both an actor and a writer. After graduating, Byron moved to California to study and received a degree in philosophy at UCLA, even though acting remained important to him. He is best known as Ryu in Street Fighter (alongside Jean-Claude Van Damme and Raúl Juliá) and Koh in the manga-based movie Crying Freeman. In 2011, Mann starred with Russell Crowe and Lucy Liu in The Man with the Iron Fists, directed by RZA, and presented by Quentin Tarantino.

Catwoman
Catwoman is a fictional character associated with DC Comics' Batman franchise. Historically an antihero, the character was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, partially inspired by Kane's cousin, Ruth Steel. Kane, a frequent movie goer, also mentioned that Jean Harlow was a model for the design.
The original and most widely known Catwoman, Selina Kyle, first appears in Batman #1 (Spring 1940) in which she is known as The Cat. She is an adversary of Batman, known for having a complex love-hate (often romantic) relationship with him. In her first appearance, she was a whip-carrying burglar with a taste for high-stake thefts. For many years Catwoman thrived, but from September 1954 to November 1966 she took an extended hiatus due to the newly developing Comics Code Authority in 1954. These issues involved the rules regarding the development and portrayal of female characters that were in violation of the Comics Code.
Since the 1990s, Catwoman has been featured in an eponymous series that cast her as an antihero rather than a supervillain. The character has been one of Batman's most enduring love interests and has been described as Batman's one true love. Many modern writers have also interpreted her activities and costumed identity as a response to a history of abuse.

Dagmar Midcap (born Dagmar Gottschalk; 1969) is a media personality originally based in Vancouver, British Columbia.
A graduate of British Columbia Institute of Technology's broadcast journalism program in 1990, Midcap began her television career on WBNX-TV in Akron, Ohio, appearing on a weekly current affairs program (1990–1998). She then returned to British Columbia, where she worked as the traffic and weather reporter on VTVs Breakfast before moving to Global Television's BCTV Morning Show as a fill-in traffic reporter. Moving away from live television, she hosted Crash Test Mommy on the Life Network. In 2005 she became co-host of BCTVs Driving Television, a weekly survey of automotive industry news for which she test drove new cars on a regular basis. It was broadcast nationally in Canada on Global.
In 2007 she returned to the United States where she became the weather and traffic anchor for the Better Mornings morning show on CBS affiliate WGCL-TV in Atlanta, Georgia, beginning in April. As of January 2008, she became the main weather anchor for WGCL-TV, doing forecasts during the late afternoon and evening newscasts. Midcap tendered her notice to the station on September 3, 2010 citing ongoing emotional and physical distress resulting from the 2009 suicide of her boyfriend. According to an interview, she is planning on moving back to the west coast to be closer to family. The station acknowledged her departure on September 7, 2010.

Denise Di Novi
Denise Di Novi (born March 21, 1956) is an American film producer.
When she was three years old, Denise and her family moved to Los Angeles from New York, where her father Gene Di Novi - a musician - made music for the TV shows of Danny Thomas, Dick Van Dyke and Andy Griffith. Prior to that, Gene worked with Doris Day, Lena Horne and Peggy Lee. In the late 1960s, the family moved again, this time to Toronto in Canada, and while there Denise's mother, Patricia, died of cancer.
She has two sons, Mac and Nicholas, and she is married to film director Christopher Taylor.
Di Novi studied communications at Simmons College, Massachusetts, and received a degree in journalism. After working as a copy editor at the National Observer and staff writer for Canada AM, she became a reporter for Toronto's Citytv, but quit in 1980 and took a job as a unit publicist for Final Assignment, a film shooting in Toronto starring Geneviève Bujold. She became a principal in the Montreal-based production company Film Plan, acting in various production capacities on nine major studio releases, including Scanners and Videodrome. In 1983, Film Plan relocated to Los Angeles and merged with Arnold Kopelson's Film Packages.

Frances Conroy
Frances Conroy (born November 13, 1953) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Ruth, the matriarch of the Fisher family, on Six Feet Under, which earned her a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
Conroy was born in Monroe, Georgia to a business executive father and a mother who also worked in business. During the 1971-1972 school year she was a student at Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, where she was a member of the Mermaid Players and appeared in college theatrical productions. She moved to New York City to study drama at the Neighborhood Playhouse and the Juilliard School. She was a member of Juilliard's Drama Division Group 6 (1973–1977) which also included Kelsey Grammer, Harriet Sansom Harris, and Robin Williams.
During the 1970s, she performed regularly with regional and touring theatrical companies (most notably The Acting Company), and appeared as Desdemona at the Delacorte Theatre in a production of Othello with Richard Dreyfuss and Raul Julia. One of her first film appearances was as a Shakespearean actress in Woody Allen's 1979 classic, Manhattan. In 1980, she made a very well received Broadway debut in Edward Albee's The Lady From Dubuque. She focused primarily on her stage career for the next two decades, appearing in such productions as Our Town, The Little Foxes, and The Ride Down Mt. Morgan, receiving one Tony and four Drama Desk Award nominations (including a Drama Desk win for The Secret Rapture). Conroy had a small role in the 1984 movie Falling in Love, as a waitress in a swanky restaurant.

Long before Lucas became obsessed with film making, he wanted to be a race-car driver, and he spent most of his high school years racing on the underground circuit at fairgrounds and hanging out at garages. However, a near-fatal accident in his souped-up Autobianchi Bianchina on June 12, 1962, just days before his high school graduation, quickly changed his mind. Instead of racing, he attended Modesto Junior College and later got accepted into a junior college to study anthropology. While taking liberal arts courses, he developed a passion for cinematography and camera tricks. George Lucas graduated from USC in California.

Halle Berry ( /ˈhæli ˈbɛri/; born August 14, 1966) is an American actress and a former fashion model. She also won the Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Actress in 2005 for Catwoman and accepted the award in person—one of the few performers to do so.

Henry Bean
Henry Bean (born 1945, Philadelphia, United States) is an American screenwriter, film director, producer, novelist, and actor.
Most famous as a screenwriter, Bean wrote the screenplays for Internal Affairs, Deep Cover, Venus Rising, The Believer (which was awarded the dramatic Grand Jury Prize at the 2001 Sundance Festival), Basic Instinct 2 and Noise.
Bean acted in The Believer, and was a producer on Deep Cover and Noise. He was the director for The Believer and Noise.
Bean is also the inspiration for the main protagonist of Noise. He was so tired of constant noise around him and his home in New York that he decided to take the law into his own hands. If a car alarm was going off and the owner of the vehicle didn't rectify the situation, Bean would break into the car to disable the offending car alarm. Bean was eventually arrested and jailed. He admits to doing it a few more times since.

Jennifer Ann "Jenny" McCarthy (born November 1, 1972) is an American model, comedian, actress, author, activist, and game show host. She began her career in 1993 as a nude model for Playboy magazine and was later named their Playmate of the Year. McCarthy then parlayed her Playboy fame into a successful television and film acting career. Most recently, she has written books about parenting, and has become an activist promoting the claims that vaccines cause autism and that chelation therapy helps cure it—both claims are considered false by the medical community.

McCarthy's mother, Linda, was a housewife and courtroom custodian, and her father, Dan McCarthy, was a steel mill foreman.

Jill Krop is a Canadian television journalist and one of the Global BC anchors, as well as radio personality.
She was born in Edmonton, Alberta in 1963 and raised in British Columbia where she studied journalism at The British Columbia Institute of Technology and graduated with her BCIT Diploma of Technology in Broadcast Communications in 1986. She started her career at CKPG in Prince George, followed by a challenging year at CFRE in Regina. Next was the move east to Atlantic Satellite Network in Halifax where she worked for six years, hosting everything from major newscasts to becoming one of the original anchors of the popular Breakfast Television. ASN awarded her a GOLD CANPRO* for her work. In 1995, she returned to her home in British Columbia where she joined BCTV as a junior news anchor beginning with the Weekend Morning and Noon News. In September 2001, she took over the reins of News Hour Final, weeknights on Global BC, from Ted Chernecki who returned to reporting. Occasionally, she sub hosts for Global BC News Hour and Global National. Besides television, Jill works in radio as a relief talk show host on CKNW AM-980.

John Rogers (writer)
John Rogers is a screenwriter, comedian, film producer, and comic book writer. Although born in Worcester, Massachusetts, he attended McGill University in Montreal and is better known publicly as a Canadian writer. While at McGill, he wrote for the school's comedy magazine The Red Herring.
Rogers wrote the first draft of the script for the live-action movie Transformers, released in 2007. He wrote an early screenplay for Catwoman and created the cartoon series Jackie Chan Adventures. He also co-wrote the science fiction adventure film The Core. In 2004 Rogers wrote and executive-produced a television pilot based on the graphic novel Global Frequency. Although the pilot was never aired on network television, it achieved brief notoriety when it was leaked onto the internet and accrued an international fan base. He created and serves as executive producer for the 2008 TNT TV series, Leverage.
Apart from his work in movies and television, Rogers has also worked in the comic book industry. In March 2006, he co-created the new Blue Beetle, Jaime Reyes, in the relaunch the Blue Beetle comic book for DC Comics with plotter Keith Giffen and artist Cully Hamner. He has also written comics for BOOM! Studios. Rogers' stories are included in BOOM!'s Zombie Tales, Cthulhu Tales, Pirate Tales and What Were They Thinking? anthologies. Rogers currently writes the current Dungeons & Dragons comic series for IDW Publishing.

Kimberly Katherine "Kim" Smith (born March 3, 1983) is an American fashion model and actress.
Smith was born in Houston. A graduate of Permian High School in Odessa, Texas, she got her big break into modeling when she accompanied a friend to a Model Search of America contest. She was changed from a spectator to a competitor by the head of the contest, and soon after signed with Clipse Management of Dallas. She entered the movie business in 2002 with a cameo in Van Wilder as comely coed Casey, and followed with a small role in 2004's Catwoman as model Drina.
The July 2005 issue of Maxim magazine, which Smith appeared in was dedicated to American troops serving overseas and featured Kim posing with militaria including dog tags and a camouflage hat; the article and pictures are featured in the Girls of Maxim Gallery. The publication named her #91 in its 2006 list.

Klaus Badelt
Klaus Badelt (born 12 June 1967) is an award-winning German composer, best known for composing film scores.
Badelt was born in Frankfurt, Germany. He started his musical career composing for many successful movies and commercials in his homeland. In 1998, Oscar-winning film composer Hans Zimmer invited Badelt to work at Media Ventures in Santa Monica, his studio co-owned by Jay Rifkin. Since then, Badelt has been working on a number of his own film and television projects such as The Time Machine and K-19: The Widowmaker. He also collaborated with other Media Ventures composers, such as Harry Gregson-Williams, John Powell, and Zimmer; and mentored several others like Ramin Djawadi and Steve Jablonsky.
While collaborating with Zimmer, Badelt contributed to the Oscar-nominated scores for The Thin Red Line and The Prince of Egypt, as well as writing music for many well known directors including Ridley Scott, Tony Scott, Terrence Mallick, John Woo, Kathryn Bigelow, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Werner Herzog, Sean Penn, Gore Verbinski, Michael Bay and Steven Spielberg.

Lambert Wilson (born 3 August 1958 in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France) is a French actor. He is internationally known for his portrayal of The Merovingian in The Matrix. Wilson is the son of Georges Wilson, who was an actor, theatrical manager and director of the Theatre National de Paris.

He was born in a Jewish family^{[citation needed]} in the Bronx, New York. Brest graduated from Stuyvesant High School in 1969, from New York University's School of the Arts in 1973 and from the AFI Conservatory with an M.F.A. degree in 1977.

Smigel was hired after then-SNL producers Al Franken and Tom Davis saw Smigel in a Chicago sketch show. After the 1985-1986 season proved to be a disappointment with critics, in the ratings, and with Brandon Tartikoff (who was planning to have SNL canceled by the last episode of season 11 due to its sliding ratings), Michaels fired most of the cast and writers, retained the cast and writers who were standouts during the otherwise dismal season (Smigel being one of them), and hired new ones for the 1986-1987 season. This is when Smigel began to write more memorable sketches, including one where host William Shatner urged worshipful attendees at a Star Trek convention to "get a life." Smigel rarely appeared on screen; although, he was credited as a feature player in the early 1990s and has played a recurring character in the Bill Swerski's Superfans sketches.

Catwoman is a 2004 American superhero film and quasi-spinoff of the Batman film series directed by Pitof and released by Warner Bros. and Village Roadshow Pictures on July 23, 2004.

The film was inspired by the DC Comics character of the same name, who is traditionally a supervillain and love interest of the superhero Batman.^[2] This story features a completely new character, Patience Phillips, taking on the "Catwoman" persona.

The film stars Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, Benjamin Bratt, Lambert Wilson, Frances Conroy, and Alex Borstein. It was poorly received by critics and audiences and is commonly listed as one of the worst films ever made.

Artist and graphics designer Patience Phillips works for a cosmetics company called Hedare Beauty which is ready to ship a new skin cream called Beau-Line which is able to reverse the effects of aging. However, as Patience visits the factory where it is being manufactured, she overhears a discussion between the scientist Dr. Ivan Slavicky and Laurel Hedare, the wife of company owner George Hedare, speaking about the dangerous side effects from continued use of the product. Laurel's minions discover Patience overhearing and are ordered to dispose of her. She tries to escape using a conduit pipe, but the minions have it sealed and Patience flushed out of it, drowning her.

Lying washed up on the shore and lifeless, Patience is mysteriously brought back to life by an Egyptian Mau cat, and from that point on develops catlike abilities and an insatiable desire for justice. With the help of a researcher named Ophelia Powers, who tells her that Egyptian Mau cats serve as messengers of the goddess Bast, Patience understands that she is becoming a "catwoman" reborn with abilities that are both a blessing and a curse. Wearing a mask to disguise her identity, Patience stalks the night as Catwoman seeking the answer to who killed her and why.

Eventually, her search leads her to Laurel Hedare, who murders her husband for his infidelity and frames Catwoman for it, causing her to be taken into custody by the police. Yet Patience slips out of confinement and confronts Laurel in her office, revealing that she is the one responsible for her death. During the fight, Laurel's face is scratched by Patience, and Laurel nearly plummets to her death when she falls out of a window, grabbing onto a pipe for dear life. Laurel sees her face in a reflection and is horrified, and fails to grab hold of Patience's outstretched arm and falls to her death.

Though Patience was cleared of any charges made against her regarding the deaths of the Hedares, she chooses to continue living outside the law enjoying her newfound freedom as the mysterious Catwoman.

Missy Peregrym (uncredited) appears as the Hedare factory computer monitor image (Beau-line graphics model), depicting the bad effects of the beauty product. A picture of Batman Returns's Catwoman/Selina Kyle (Which, in the movie, is portrayed by Michelle Pfeiffer) can be seen along with the other Catlady's and Catwoman's pictures that Ophelia (Frances Conroy) showed to Patience/Catwoman (Halle Berry).

Catwoman's world wide box office reached $82,102,379. Its US DVD rental gross during its stay on the weekly top 50 chart was $35 million.^[1]^[3]

Critical response [link]

Catwoman received overwhelmingly negative reviews from critics and currently holds a 10% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on 178 reviews with the consensus stating: "Halle Berry is the lone bright spot, but even she can't save this laughable action thriller."

The film appeared on the list of Roger Ebert's most hated films. He criticized the filmmakers for giving little thought to providing Berry "with a strong character, story, supporting characters or action sequences", but his primary criticism came from the failure of the film to give the audience a sense of what her character experienced as she was transformed into Catwoman.^[4]

Film critic Bill Muller of the Arizona Republic suggested that maybe Berry should give back her 2001 Academy Award as a penalty.^[5]

This film received seven Golden Raspberry nominations in 2005, including Worst Supporting Actress (Sharon Stone), Worst Supporting Actor (Lambert Wilson) and Worst Screen Couple (Halle Berry and either Benjamin Bratt or Sharon Stone). It won in the categories of Worst Picture, Worst Actress (Halle Berry), Worst Director, and Worst Screenplay. Berry arrived at the ceremony to accept her Razzie in person (with her Best Actress Oscar for Monster's Ball in hand), and said: "First of all, I want to thank Warner Brothers. Thank you for putting me in a piece of shit, god-awful movie... It was just what my career needed."^[6]
