THANX FOR SUBSCRIBING TO OUR VIDEOS! FACEBOOK - www.facebook.com TWITTER - twitter.com BUY FULL SERIES ON ITUNES itunes.apple.com WEBSITE: cordelljigsaw.com Japanese language student Takahiro Ono is found lifeless in the water on a surprisingly calm day. With no breath and no pulse a frantic resuscitation effort begins as Bondi lifeguards come to his rescue. Finally a defibrillator shocks him back to life. Ten minutes after the incident Taka is fully conscious. Join Bondi Rescue, the original beach rescue series for it's record seventh season in 2012! Over the last five summers, Australian Television audiences were introduced to the dramatic world of the Bondi lifeguards, the real life heroes who patrol one of the world's busiest beaches. In Bondi Rescue the audience sees the action through the eyes of real characters and lifeguards like Reidy, Maxy, Whippet, Deano and Hoppo who deal with anything from shark scares to mass rescues, resuscitations, lost children, thieves and perverts. Their larrikin humour teamed with their ability to save lives has charmed beachgoers and viewers alike. Head Lifeguard Bruce Hopkins expects his team to give everything they've got. But with a maximum of eight lifeguards on duty at any one time, watching over more than 40000 beach goers on a summer s day, the question is sure to arise, "will that be enough?" Performing around 2500 rescues each season, with crowds exceeding 2.5 million people per year, these lifeguards certainly have their ...

Bondi Beach Turns 'the Colour of Blood' in Australia
Bondi Beach could be closed for up to 36 hours while tests are conducted on the algal bloom that stained the water a red colour this morning. A spokeswoman for Sydney Water said a maintenance team, including a water quality expert, arrived at Bondi at 11am to carry out extensive tests on site, plus take samples to be tested in laboratories. ''We think it is looking very likely that it is a blue-green algal bloom,'' she said. Algal blooms often appear in hot and humid weather, such as experienced in Sydney during the past three days. An expert from the NSW Department of Water said blue-green algae is often brown, red or pink in colour because of photosynthetic pigment, which gives a brown, red or pink colour to the cells. Advertisement The Sydney Water spokeswoman said there appeared to be no issues with the sewage treatment plants at Bondi and Malabar. The managers of those plants had confirmed they were in working order, she said. While Sydney Water was fairly confident the bloom had not been caused from pollution or sewage, it was doing tests on site to check for faecal coliforms. She said those results would be available quickly, but the tests determining what kind of algae was causing the bloom would take as long as 36 hours. Unofficial results would likely be given to Waverley Council, which manages Bondi, within 24 hours. Bruce Hopkins, the lifeguard co-ordinator for Waverley Council, said the beach was closed early this morning after the lifeguards arrived at 6am ...

Shark attack horror in Bondi Beach
13 February 2009 - It's been over 80 years since the last shark attack in Bondi's world famous beach, however at around 7.30pm on the 12 February, 2009 a 33 year old male from the nearby suburb of Dover Heights was targeted by an unknown species of shark. There was a flurry of surfers and people strolling the beach that came to assist. One witness who was near the male when he was attacked immediately wrapped the victim's arm with a Boogie Board cord to prevent serious blood loss. The male's hand was severed with only a small amount of skin keeping the body part attached. The quick actions of the nearby surfer and doctor that were strolling the beach no doubt saved the life of the male. A large group of surfers all formed together to stretcher the male out on to the main road waiting for the ambulance and intensive care units to take over the medical treatment. The quick thinking of all the people involved are to be commended on a fine life saving achievement. The male was transported to St Vincent's hospital and underwent major surgery in an attempt to repair the damage. It is understood the last shark attack in Bondi Beach was over 80 years ago. The surfers all seemed defiant in their interviews. Albeit a little shaken, they simply cant wait to get back in the water. Freenews was first on scene, and is proud to bring you the most detailed photo and video coverage of this historic incident.

Bondi, the hottest beach on the planet
natgeotv.com.au With sharks in the water, thieves on land, broken bones, overdoses, fights and mass rescues, the lifeguards of Bondi Beach have their hands full watching over the millions of tourists and locals who flock to the area each year. Bondi Rescue shows that while having an office at the beach can certainly have its perks, these rugged Australian lifeguards risk it all patrolling from sunrise to sundown while keeping beachgoers safe. Whether it is launching a mass ocean rescue effort, preparing for a racial riot or even playing Santa Claus on Christmas, these lifeguards have a work hard, play hard attitude that makes a visit to Bondi a once in a lifetime experience. Filled with life-and-death rescues, shark sightings, and a few humorous encounters with some over zealous party-goers, each episode delivers a shot of drama and heart-pumping adrenaline. With rescue board cameras, helicopter footage and behind the scenes access, get side-by-side the lifeguards as they put themselves in danger to help save others.

Bondi Beach Gets Flipped! Towel Surfing - Flip Video Flash Mob
Bondi Beach, home to some of the worlds greatest surfers, became home to a new surfing phenomenon today when Towel Surfing was born! Over 200 people joined in synchronous dance on their towels to the music of Australian music icon Ben Lee in a perfectly choreographed routine that amazed onlookers. www.doyouflip.com.au It started with one, lone individual, who walked through the crowd of sunbathers and surfers and placed his boombox on the sand in the middle of the crowded beach and pressed play. What followed was a contagion of rhythm and dance as one by one other beachgoers joined in began surfing on their towels. They kicked their feet, paddled with their hands and bobbed up and down checking for waves all while remaining on their towels, dry on the pristine sand of Bondi Beach.

Agonal Gasps - Bondi Beach Rescue
This video of a CPR save on Bondi Beach is a great example of "Agonal Gasps." The breaths that Taka (the victim) are taking are not normal and incapable of sustaining life. The Bondi lifeguards started CPR and saved his life. Although this video was shot in 2006 and the CPR guidelines are different today, it is a great real life example of CPR. Strongbow Neon Night Surfing Bondi
www.facebook.com To mark the start of summer, Strongbow joined forces with legendary surfing filmmaker Jack McCoy (Endless Summer II), Bali Strickland and Eugene Tan (Aquabumps) to capture Australia's largest glow in the dark surf attempt at Bondi Beach. On summer's eve, 17 Strongbow surfers descended on Bondi Beach in custom made glow-in-the-dark surfboards and wetsuits as an official "welcome to summer" for Strongbow. Channel 10's Bondi Rescue lifeguards, Corey Oliver and Andrew Reid, were among the surfers taking part. Hundreds of onlookers lined the beach and the Bondi Icebergs balcony to catch a glimpse of the spectacle. Executive Producer - Josh Cilento Director of Photography - Jack McCoy
