Kings of Iraq
The Kings of Iraq, Hashemite dynasty. The Kingdom of Iraq existed from 1932 to 1958. Previously Iraq had been a British Mandate after the division of the Ottoman Empire after World War I. When independence was granted Faisal I became king. He was succeeded by King Ghazi who later died in a car accident in 1939. A regent ruled on behalf of King Faisal II until he came of age. However, his reign was cut short by a coup in 1958 in which the King and almost the entire royal family were brutally massacred. The chaos this caused eventually allowed the Bathist party to dominate the country in 1963, later coming under the rule of Saddam Hussein.

King Faisal II of Iraq
Faisal II was the last sovereign of the Hashemite Kingdom of Iraq. He was born in 1939 and was the only son of King Ghazi and Queen Alia. When he was 3-years-old his father died in a suspect car crash and Faisal II became King of Iraq with his uncle serving as regent. When he came of age he was a serious and careful monarch, intent on Iraq having friendly relations with foreign nations and becoming a modern, prosperous country. To that end he used the oil revenues of the country to build up the infrastructure of Iraq and invest in numerous projects to develop and modernize. However, he was plagued by the new communist party and the precedent set by the overthrow of the King of Egypt. In 1958 republican radicals led a coup against the 23-year-old king, deposing him and brutally murdering almost the entire family. Since then Iraq has been ruled by a succession of dictators.

Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and China
Background: Cooperation between China and Saudi Arabia Source: CCTV.com | 06-22-2008 08:50 The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is situated on the Arabian Peninsula, facing the Persian Gulf in the east and the Red Sea in the west. The country borders Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Oman and Yemen. Saudi Arabia has a total landmass of 2.25 million square kilometers, with a population of more than 22 million. It has 13 provinces. Riyadh is the capital. The Kingdom is the cradle of Islam. Mecca, where Prophet Mohammed was born, is Islam's first holy site. Every year, millions of Muslims from around the world make a pilgrimage there. Saudi Arabia is a leading producer of oil and natural gas. It holds more than 20 percent of the world's proven oil reserves. China forged diplomatic ties with Saudi Arabia in 1990. Bilateral relations since then have developed steadily, with regular exchanges at various levels. And the areas of bilateral cooperation have expanded. In January 2006, the King of Saudi Arabia, Abdullah bin Abdul-Aziz, visited China -- the first visit of a Saudi king to China since the establishment of diplomatic ties. Three months later, Chinese President, Hu Jintao, paid a reciprocal visit to Saudi Arabia. Both sides reached consensus on pushing forward the development of bilateral strategic friendship and cooperation. Sino-Saudi trade and energy cooperation has also developed rapidly. The bilateral trade volume hit more than 20 billion US dollars in 2006, a ...

Jordan- The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
Jordan officially the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan (Arabic: المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية), Al-Mamlaka al-Urduniyya al-Hashemiyya) and also known as the JK (short for The Jordanian Kingdom), is a kingdom on the East Bank of the River Jordan in Western Asia. It borders Saudi Arabia to the east and south-east, Iraq to the east, Syria to the north and West Bank and Israel to the west, sharing control of the Dead Sea. Jordan's only port is at its southern tip, at the Gulf of Aqaba, which is shared with Israel, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia. Much of Jordan is covered by the Arabian Desert. However, the north-western part of Jordan is part of the Fertile Crescent. The capital city is Amman. During its history, Jordan has seen numerous civilizations, including those of the Ancient Near East with the Canaanite and later other Semitic peoples such as the Edomites, and the Moabites. Other civilizations possessing political sovereignty and influence in Jordan were: Akkadian, Assyrian, Israelite/Judean, Babylonian, and Persian empires. The lands of Jordan were for a time under the rule of Pharaonic Egypt, composed part of the greater Kingdom of Israel (including the later Judaean Kingdom, Hasmonaen Kingdom of Israel and Herodian Dynasty), and notably, the region of Jordan also gave birth to the Nabataean civilization which left rich archaeological remains at Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World located in the Ma'an Governorate. Cultures further west also left their mark, such as the ...

Craig Unger on New Book, "Boss Rove: Inside Karl Rove's Secret Kingdom of Power." 1 of 2
DemocracyNow.org - In a new book, author Craig Unger examines the return of Karl Rove, the man who masterminded the rise of George W. Bush from governor of Texas to a two-term presidency, who advised Bush during two wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, and who was at the center of two of the biggest scandals of the Bush administration: the Valerie Plame Wilson affair and the US attorneys scandal. While Rove was almost indicted for the Plame affair, he has reinvented himself to become the most powerful political operative in America. Heading up the American Crossroads super PAC and the affiliated non-profit Crossroads GPS, Rove has built up a war chest that has given Mitt Romney a significant cash advantage in the fundraising race with President Obama. In "Boss Rove: Inside Karl Rove's Secret Kingdom of Power," Unger writes that Rove's ambitions are not simply about winning elections, but represent "a far more grandiose vision — the forging of a historic realignment of America's political landscape, the transformation of America into effectively a one-party state." ANCIENT ASSYRIANS of northern IRAQ - Assyrian folk music
ANCIENT ASSYRIANS of northern IRAQ (Mesopotamia) - Iraqi folk music. Heritage of the ancient Assyrian civilization of Mesopotamia. Music: Assyrian folk dance "Dabka", a line stamp dance popular among the Assyrians of Iraq and in neighbouring territory. Performed by Munir Bashir - Assyrian musician from Iraq. One of the local words for the dabka -- ashūriyya, which means "from Assyria". +++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Assyria was a Semitic Akkadian kingdom, extant as a nation state from 2400 BC to 608 BC centred on the Upper Tigris river, in northern Mesopotamia (present day northern Iraq), that came to rule regional empires a number of times through history. It was named for its original capital, the ancient city of Assur. Nineveh was the later capital of the ancient Assyria. 6:14 - Assyrians lead ancient Israelities into captivity under king Sennacherib (5:48, 7:00) who ruled Assyrian empire in 705 -- 681 BC and whose capture of Judean cities is recorded in 2 Kings 18/13. The Northern Kingdom of Israel was conquered by the Neo-Assyrian monarchs, Tiglath-Pileser III (Pul) and Shalmaneser V. The later Assyrian rulers Sargon II and his son and successor, Sennacherib, were responsible for finishing the twenty year demise of Israel's northern ten tribe kingdom. Sennacherib also invaded some parts of the Southern Kingdom of Judah. He records forty-six fortified towns captured from Judah, and presumably carried away into Assyria. Jerusalem was besieged, but not taken. The ...

How to Invite people to Grace Compass Church?
Grace Compass Church
7 Steps to More Spiritual Conversations
Here is what I do to engage people in a spiritual conversation:
1. Make it a priority. Be intentional
2. Pray for the opportunities.
3. Get out into the community.
4. Cultivate relationships.
5. Learn to ask good questions.
6. Look for God’s work in people.
7. Guard your heart.
Effective Evangelism Training
Power of the Holy Spirit emphasizes learning God’s vision for evangelism, and developing a passion for personal evangelism. This evangelism conference also seeks to develop practical evangelism skills in cooperating with the Holy Spirit.
The course uses a lot of the principles we teach about cooperating with the Holy Spirit and conversational evangelism, based on Phillip and Ethiopian Eunuch.
Phillip And The Ethiopian Eunuch
By EvangelismCoach • April 24, 2007
Acts Conversions
Let’s look at an “easy conversion,” that of the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts Chapter 8.
This conversion was as simple as picking a ripe mango ready to fall from a tree.
It’s not so much about the Eunuch as it is about Phillip being God’s tool to help the man come to faith.
The fruit is ready
The Fruit is Ready
These are the kinds of evangelistic conversations I love because a person has been prepared by the Lord to this point, and I get to be the one God uses to bring that person into the kingdom.
It reminds me that God is the Evangelist, that the Holy Spirit goes before us to prepare the way, and that when we are obedient to His promptings, the Lord can use us.
The passage: Acts 8:26-40.
Phillip had been directed by the Lord to go on a scavenger hunt. “Go to the south road, the desert road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.”
Phillip was then prompted to go and stand near a chariot that was on the road.
Phillip hears a man reading a particular passage from the book of Isaiah.
Phillip asks if he understands.
The man’s response: “How can I unless someone explains it to me? Please tell me who the prophet is talking about.”
Phillip began there and told him the good news about Jesus. The eunuch believed, he took baptism, and went on his way rejoicing, never to see Phillip again.
Reflections:
A seeker:
We know from the text what Phillip didn’t know at first. This man had been coming from Jerusalem, where he had been to worship God. Phillip didn’t know him, but found a man reading out loud from the Old Testament.
This man shows all the signs of one who is spiritualy thirsty.
• He had reworked his schedule to go to Jerusalem on his own.
• He was reading from the Scripture.
• He wanted somebody to explain what he was reading.
• He was willing to search for the truth.
• He was willing to understand.
This man was hungry for the things of God. He was spiritually thirsty. Prepared by God.
All he needed was a person to help explain.
An evangelist.
The Lord used an obedient Phillip to help this man into the kingdom.
Both sides always balance
God worked both sides of the equation, so to speak, putting Phillip and the spiritualy thirsty eunuch in the same place at the same time. This positioning is the Role of the Holy Spirit in Evangelism.
All Phillip had to do in this encounter with a stranger was to obey the promptings of the Holy Spirit.
In other words, Phillip got to work with God.
Phillip didn’t
• need to pry open a hard heart like a can of beans.
• have to waste hours of conversation about the existence of God.
• need to get the Eunuch to the starting point of a Gospel Script
All the talk in the world could not replace the work of God that prepared the eunuch ahead of time.
Luke on summarizes the conversation as “the good news about Jesus”. This was not a Scripted Evangelism Conversation.
So what?
For one brief afternoon, the stories of these two strangers intersected. Phillip was doing his ordinary routine when the Lord prompted him to go to specific place. The eunuch was simply going home after a pilgrimage.
But at one moment, their paths crossed and one man’s destiny was changed.
It is my desire that you spend time asking “God where are you at work?” It’s much easier to cooperate with God’s activity, rather than wasting hours of argument prying open a locked heart.
The key is that Phillip noticed “THAT” Chariot. God underlined the chariot and Phillip positioned himself.
We know that God’s Spirit is at work in us as believers, training us, teaching us, and transforming us.
But, I also want to point out how the Holy Spirit prepares the way for evangelism to occur naturally.
Consider Phillip and the Ethiopian Eunuch. Clearly the Spirit of God was at work in the life of the Eunuch.
• He had gone to Jerusalem to worship.
• He was reading Scripture.
• He wanted someone to explain Scripture to him.
The eunuch had a spiritual thirst, created by the Holy Spirit, and he was busy searching to slake that thirst. He was like the merchant looking for the fine pearl.

More and more film festivals come to honor Don Askarian with retrospectives. Serious TV-stations like ARD, WDR, ZDF, Channel 4, Arte, but also Belgian, Greek, Swiss, Slovakian, Armenian etc. TV Channels are constant co-producers and buyers of all his films. The films of Don Askarian were sold and broadcasted world wide about 100 times. Don Askarian, honored with a Harvard Film Archive retrospective, is considered the greatest Armenian filmmaker (but he is Russian-German- Dutch too). In 2004 he received Golden Camera Award for Life Achievement at Int. ART Film Festival, Slovakia. It turns out to be clearer what Hans-Werner Dannowski, the president of Interfilm, meant in 1992: "Time will pass until we recognize that Don Askarian is one of the most important filmmakers of our times. His movies will take up the time they need. Finally the films will have their success not with lies and assimilations but with truth." The retrospectives and special screenings around the world, on TV and important film festivals reflect it, mirror the growing interest in Don Askarian's films followed by a broad fascination by the audience.

PAKISTAN-SAUDI AIR FORCE {WaLeEd BoYz}
The bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan are close and friendly. As two of the world's leading Islamic countries, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan have sought to develop extensive commercial, cultural, religious and strategic relations. A Muslim-majority state, Pakistan has sought to develop close bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia, the largest country on the Arabian peninsula and home to the two holiest cities of Islam, Mecca and Medina and the destination of Muslim pilgrims from across the world. Pakistan maintains close military ties with Saudi Arabia, providing extensive support, arms and training for the Military of Saudi Arabia.[3] Pilots of the Pakistan Air Force flew aircraft of the Royal Saudi Air Force to repel an incursion from South Yemen in 1969. In the 1970s and 1980s, approximately 15000 Pakistani soldiers were stationed in the kingdom.[3] Saudi Arabia has negotiated the purchase of Pakistani ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.[3] It is also speculated that Saudi Arabia secretly funded Pakistan's nuclear programme and seeks to purchase atomic weapons from Pakistan to enable it to counteract possible threats from arsenals of the weapons of mass destruction possessed by Iran, Iraq and Israel.[5][6][7] Both nations have received high-level delegations of scientists, government and military experts seeking to study the development of a nuclear programme.

Royals of Jordan
The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan is an Arab constitutional monarchy stretching from the Syrian Desert to the Gulf of Aqaba. When the Ottoman Empire was carved up after World War I the League of Nations mandated the region known as Trans-Jordan to the British. After a failed bid to gain power in Syria the Hashemite Emir Abdullah became King of Transjordan (later Jordan) with his brother Faisal becoming King of Iraq. The British mandate ended in 1946 and in 1950 the country was renamed Jordan after the Palestinian annexations. King Abdullah I was assassinated in 1951 in Jerusalem by a Palestinian terrorist. He was succeeded by King Talal who was later deposed because of mental illness with the throne passing to King Hussein. In 1957 Jordan ended its special treaty with Britain and until 1958 was part of the Arab Union with Iraq in an effort by the Hashemite monarchies to counter the United Arab Republic formed by Egypt and Syria. King Hussein died in 1999 and was succeeded by his son King Abdullah II.
