SRPS Dunrobin Castle & Brora Railtour; Part 1
Film of the Scottish Railway Preservation Society's "Sutherland Special" railtour, from Edinburgh Waverley to Dunrobin Castle and Brora, terminating at Polmont on the return due to engineering works. The railtour train was hauled by EWS Class 37 locomotives 37422 and 37401. Both locomotives doubleheaded as far as Inverness where the non-RETB (radio electric token block) 37401 remained, 37422 handling the train on it's own north of Inverness. This is part 1; my early morning start, catching the train at Linlithgow, and the journey as far as Drumochter Pass. Filmed: Saturday 21st June 2008. Camera: Panasonic VDR-D310 w/ Hama UV filter + Hama polarising filter. Edited using ArcSoft ShowBiz.
