Radio broadcast of the "Farm and Home Hour" from June 1951 discussing the 10th anniversary of the Clemons Tree Farm in Montesano, Washington. Program features Millard Ireland of KOMO Seattle; Washington Governor Arthur B. Langlie; Oregon Governor Douglas McKay; William B. Greeley, vice president of the West Coast Lumbermen's Association and former Chief of the U.S. Forest Service; Robert M. Ramstad, branch forester for Weyerhaeuser Timber Co. on Clemons Tree Farm; Stanley F. Horn, editor of the Southern Lumberman; and others. The nation's first tree farm was dedicated near Montesano, Washington, on June 12, 1941. Owned by the Weyerhaeuser Timber Company, the Clemons Tree Farm launched a nationwide movement. A decade later the 10th anniversary of the Clemons Tree Farm was celebrated in a day-long ceremony held at Montesano on June 23, 1951.
