SASKATCHEWAN TRAILER 1954 ALAN LADD
Theatrical trailer for the 1954 outdoor adventure, SASKATCHEWAN, starring Alan Ladd, Shelly Winters and J. Carrol Naish. In an effort to cash in on the enormous popularity generated by SHANE the previous year, Universal-International costumed Ladd to resemble the Shane character in the early minutes of SASKATCHEWAN, and even referred ro his "O'Rourke" character as a gunfighter, which he wasn't. Sumptuous eye-filling vistas filmed by seven-time Oscar nominee John Sietz and virile direction by Raoul Walsh helped pull the the proceedings together into an enjoyable, if unmemorable, film.

Teknotik Presents: H-T 7 Meet Toronto Canada
Teknotik.com and JDMRides.ca were pleased to present to you the H-T 7 Meet 2010 - Canada's largest Honda and Acura gathering on August 29 2010, at Grand Prix Kartways, Downsview Park Toronto Ontario.
I Eric from Teknotik would like to take this opportunity to personally thank and acknowledge all the staff and participants that helped make HT7 an overwhelming success. We are proud to announce that we have now confirmed over 1000+ cars in attendance making this once again the biggest Honda and Acura meet to take place anywhere in Canada! We never would have believed that this meet would grown from a single parking lot of under 100 cars to 4 hugs lots packed with not a space to spare. We were very fortunate for a sun filled and beautiful day, aside from a few sun burns.
We would like to thank everyone who came out and participated. We had a great collection of cars from all over Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan, North East USA and our furthest traveler all the way from Halifax Nova Scotia. Special thanks to the huge groups that made the drive all the way from Ottawa (OHC, RL) and Montreal (club civic QC, UR, MR).
Any questions about this event or those looking to make arrangements for large groups or out of town guests for 2011 feel free to contact me directly at eric@teknotik.com. Stay in the loop with details for next years event on www.jdmrides.ca
Again, thanks to everyone for their support in making this Canada's largest Honda and Acura gathering!

How to Do Push Pull Moves Using Kessler Gear - Full Length
In this film, I explore an abandoned grain elevator in Saskatchewan, Canada. I also showcase four different ways in which you can accomplish push/pull moves without seeing the track in the shot when using Kessler Crane Gear. Below is a 3 Minute Short I shot utilizing some of these methods. I have also included the quick start guide video at the bottom of the post.
***NOTE: I only showcase a few different methods in which you can accomplish these moves as there are many configuration options.
Introduction
There are a variety of configurations in which you are able to accomplish push or pull moves using Kessler Crane Gear. These can be accomplished by one of four methods; Angles, Tighter Lenses, Height, or Length. In this post, I will show you a few ways in which you can configure your gear to accomplish these moves without seeing the track in your shots.
Using Angles
There are two ways in which you can use angles to keep the track out of the shot. You can either slightly tilt the camera up to frame the camera out or have your track on an angle. To do this, lower the front of the track and raise the back of the track. This method is effective no matter the length of your track.
Using Tighter Lenses
A simple way in which to keep the track out of the shot is by using a tighter lens. However, if you are wanting to shoot with a wider lens and want to keep the camera parallel with the horizon, you will have to use either the angle or length options.
Using Height
Raising the camera off of the track will give you more flexibility when framing your shot. As a point of reference, if shooting with a 3 foot Cineslider with your camera raised up one foot, you can use a 24mm lens on a full frame camera and not see the track when your camera is pointed straight forward.
This method depends on the length of your track. If you are shooting with a longer track and want to have the camera parallel with the horizon, you will either have to use the angle or length options.
Using Length Extensions
Using length extensions is the most versatile option. In situations where you are wanting to push into something, such as a car window, this method allows you to do this. One thing to be cautious of however is that if there is a wind, movement may become present so keep an eye on your camera so there is no undesired movement.

Tornado near Tramping Lake, 2012
About 6 funnel clouds formed at once, two of them touching down, one of them for about 5 minutes. Since it was forming overhead at times, it was difficult to stay in one place and shoot, but what an awesome display of nature to see in person. The strangest part, though... both my son and I dreamed the night before that we were fleeing a tornado.

By Any Means Necessary
"By Any Means Necessary" tells the story of the Buffalo River Dene Nation, a First Nation located in Saskatchewan, Canada, and their current legal battle with the government of Canada. In 1994, when two hunters, James Sylvestre and Harry Cataract, were arrested for trespassing and illegally hunting within a government-controlled area, the community of Buffalo River rose to the defense of the hunters. This area was traditional Dene hunting grounds, but was turned into an air weapons bombing range in 1954. The bombing range was used by the Canadian and US armed forces for bombing practice during the cold war, although it was found that 99.5% of land was handed over to multinationals for oil exploration and mining. Band elders asserted that the land in question was part of their traditional lands and the treaty signed with Canada in 1906 gave them the right to use that area. Through a series of cases and appeals, a guilty verdict was finally handed down by the Canadian legal system. Determined to clear the name of the hunters, the Buffalo River Dene Nation is now attempting to charge Canada in the International Court of Justice with the breaking of their 100 year-old treaty.
