Cornwall
Cornwall is a county of England in the United Kingdom, forming the tip of the south-western peninsula of Great Britain. It is bordered to the north and west by the Atlantic Ocean, to the south by the English Channel, and to the east by the county of Devon, over the River Tamar. Taken with the Isles of Scilly Cornwall has a population of 534300, and covers an area of 3563 km2 (1376 sq mi).The administrative centre and only city is Truro. The area now known as Cornwall was first inhabited in the Palaeolithic and Mesolithic periods. It continued to be occupied by Neolithic and then Bronze Age peoples, and later (in the Iron Age) by Celts. There is little evidence that Roman rule was effective west of Exeter and few Roman remains have been found. Cornwall was afterwards part of the Brythonic (Celtic) area of Dumnonia, separated from Wales after the Battle of Deorham, often coming into conflict with the expanding English kingdom of Wessex before King Athelstan in 936 AD set the boundary between English and Cornish people at the Tamar.[3] Today, Cornwall's economy struggles after the decline of the mining and fishing industries, and has become more dependent on tourism: however some decline in this has also occurred.[clarification needed] The area is noted for its wild moorland landscapes, its extensive and varied coastline and its mild climate. Cornwall is recognised as one of the "Celtic nations" by many Cornish people, residents and organisations. It retains a distinct ...

Damh the Bard- The Winter King
Taken from the album 'Spirit of Albion' (2006). Performed by Damh the Bard. Lyrics (taken from the artist's homepage): 'Facing the west to a distant land, Gazing out to the sea, Standing on Cornwall's rocky shore, The crashing waves far below me, I heard a woman calling my name, Her voice the voice of a friend, And she said, "Now hear me, I'm Morgan le Fey, Let me tell you a story with no end." The life of a man, the life of a King, The love for a Queen, Pendragon of Britain, Sovereign of the Land, The mightiest warrior ever seen. The Magic Sword in his hand, Like lightning, cut through the air. A gift of the Goddess, Lady of the Lake, To Valiant Arthur, the Bear. In the heart of Dumnonia stands a tower, An Isle on a sea of glass. Where Merlin planned the Old Gods of the Land, Would return to Britain at last. Twelve of the Thirteen Treasures were there, Clyddno Eiddin's Cauldron the quest, On Prydwen they sailed, Into the Otherworld, None but seven returned from the west. Facing the west to a distant land, Gazing out to the sea, Standing on Cornwall's rocky shore, The Crashing waves far below me, I see a ship disappear in the mist, That shines like silver and bronze, Carrying the body of the Wounded King, To be healed in Avalon.'

Mount and Blade Warband- Brytenwalda- Part 1- Merchant Restart and Replan
I have rebooted my campaign as my relations with other factions have deteriorated getting me captured by every single faction lord. I decided to create the same type of character and try it over without joining the army. I do so much better this game so remember to comment, thumbs up, and subscribe to my youtube channel for my exciting Mount and Blade fun.

Mount and Blade Warband- Brytenwalda- Part 2
In this part, we complete most of the tutorial just to make sure there is no additional enhancements to the combat system of the game. We also begin the journey as a trader personality and need help on what to do to make money. I don't seem to be able to recruit any peasants my self. So in a few parts, I enlist in the army of a minor noble at the lowest recruited class and fight in a couple sieges and open field battles and die.

Adam Lay Y-Bounden
A short (1'30) film inspired by the days I spent with my sister Teresa in Devon in May 2011 and thinking about the passing of time and our late brother Simon. Staying in the 16th century thatched cottage which is our father's home, we walked the lanes and hills around the village in all weathers and up to Musbury Castle, the Iron Age hill fort from where on a clear day you can see for miles ⎯ imagining how it would have been for people looking out over those hills, valleys and forests at the time these verses were written
⌘The name Devon derives from the kingdom of Dumnonia —possibly meaning Deep Valley Dwellers or Worshippers of the god Dumnonos — which was home to the tribe of Celtic people who inhabited the area of the southwestern peninsula of Britain at the time of the Roman invasion
⌘Adam Lay Y-Bounden is a 15th century Middle English text set to music in this version by English composer Boris Ord
Adam lay i-bowndyn,
bowndyn in a bond,
Fowre thowsand wynter
thowt he not to long
And al was for an appil,
an appil that he tok.
As clerkes fyndyn wretyn
in here book.
Ne hadde the appil take ben,
the appil taken ben,
Ne hadde never our lady
a ben hevene quen.
Blyssid be the tyme
that appil take was!
Therfore we mown syngyn
Deo gracias!
⌘Boris Ord was choir master of King's College, Cambridge. His setting of Adam Lay Y-Bounden is his only published piece of music and is the best known of several settings, probably because he'd made it part of the service of nine lessons and carols from King's College chapel broadcast each year on Christmas Eve
Sung here by the Tewkesbury Abbey Choir conducted by Andrew Sackett
with the Great Bell of Ampleforth Abbey
