China´s massacre in Spratly islands [real footage 1988]
Created by ottovonstierlitz (Wehrmacht) in Germany, May 2009 Full video HD: www.mediafire.com On the occasion of celebrating the Chinese Navy 60th anniversary, a short video that was recorded by the Chinese navy in 1988 has been publicized by her state medien. It shows the actions of the Chinese navy in combat as the so called "self-defense" and conceals the reality of a massacre : 64 Vietnamese sailors were killed by 37mm anti-craft guns from Chinese warships in a few seconds. ------------- Evidences of China's Crime: The Spratly Islands Massacre 1/ With proven historical evidences and an uninterrupted possession, Vietnam has been exercising her sovereignty over the Spratly Islands in the East Vietnam Sea, which is also known as the " South China Sea". However, with continuing ambition for hegemony to control natural resources as well as sea transportation routes, China has brutally and inhumanely attacked Viet Nam, seriously violating Vietnams sovereignty and international laws. This real footage, which was taken by the China Navy during the invasion of the Spratly Islands on March 14th 1988, is an irrefutable proof of China Navys crime. Using overwhelming armed forces, the China Navy killed 64 under-equipped Vietnamese sailors, destroyed and prevented unarmed Vietnamese vessels from saving the injured. The movie has raised a question of criminal charges against the Chinese government, once led by Deng Xiao Ping, for the course of justice. In fact, this defending battle ...

Paracel and Spratly Islands Not Chinese Territories in 1904 Chinese Map
A Chinese language expert in Vietnam has an official map of China from 1904 that does not show Paracel and Spratly islands as belonging to China. The map possessed by Mai Hong, former head of the archive at the Han Nom Institute that studies ancient Vietnamese language and its influence by Chinese, for more than 30 years shows Hainan Island as China's southernmost tip. The two archipelagoes off Vietnam's central coast are not shown in the map. But now China claims the islands despite lots of historical evidence showing Vietnam's existence on the islands before anyone else. A Vietnamese map from 1834 includes the two islands. Hong said the colored-paper map was made during the Qing Dynasty era and published by the Shanghai Publishing House. Hong said the Chinese descriptions on the map indicate it took from 1708 to 1904, from the time of Emperor Guangxi to that of Guangxu, to complete it. The kings sent scholars and experts, including Westerners such as Johann Adam Schall von Bell and Ferdinand Verbiest, to all of China's then 13 provinces for the task, he said. The foreword was written by the then director of an observatory. Hong had bought the map from a familiar book seller for his institute. "He showed me the map and suggested that I should buy it. It cost more than my one month salary." On July 4 he handed over the well-preserved, 115 cm x 140 cm map to the Vietnam National History Museum in Hanoi. A handover ceremony is being held Tuesday with several historians ...

Chinese Fleet Arrives at Spratly Islands, Amid Increasing Tension in South China Sea
A large fleet of 30 Chinese fishing boats arrived at the Spratly Islands in the South China Sea on Sunday, amid ownership disputes between China and its neighbors. The fleet, which includes a 3000 ton supply ship and a patrol vessel, will spend up to 10 days in the area, according to China's state media. China claims it has sovereign rights to the entire South China Sea, which is believed to be very rich in gas and oil deposits. However Taiwan, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia and the Philippines also claim part ownership in the area. SPRATLYS DANGEROUS GROUND
Somewhere off the coasts of Vietnam and Malaysia, next to the Philippines, in what is known as the South China Sea lie the Spratly Islands, a group of more than 750 reefs, islets, atolls, cays and islands that form a ragged archipelago. Whoever owns the Spratlys holds a geostrategic key to the region. The vying countries have decided to occupy the terrain by sending civilian and military personnel to survive on these remote fragments of rock, willing hostages of a diplomatic tug of war. They are playing out a tragicomic fable. The Spratlys are a lawless zone, a paradise for traffickers and smugglers of all kinds. The Chinese, Vietnamese and Filipinos maintain excellent relations in their common efforts to plunder the regions resources.

PAF Chief Says Italy Will Provide 10 Attack Helicopters To Protect Scarborough & Spratly Islands
In July 2012, it was report that the Philippines received an offer from Italy for AgustaWestland attack helicopters (either A129 or T-129). On July 20, 2012, IHS report that Italy is in pole position to provide Manila with 10 attack helicopters, Philippine Air Force (PAF) chief Lieutenant General Lauro Catalino Dela Cruz has said. Gen Dela Cruz visited Italy on his way back from the UK's Farnborough Airshow to look at some of the weaponry. "Hopefully we will have them by the end of the year," he said in a statement. While not identifying the specific model, Gen Dela Cruz could be referring to the AW129 Mangusta, which AgustaWestland now markets overseas as the T129 after signing a co-production deal with Turkey's Aselsan and Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI). Other options include the AW119 Ke (Koala enhanced): a single-engined utility helicopter that can be armed with rocket launchers; a twin 7.62 mm machine gun pod; 12.7 machine gun pod; anti-tank missiles and air-to-air missiles, and the attack version of the PZL Swidnik W-3 Sokol. AgustaWestland acquired the Polish company in January 2010. AgustaWestland did not respond to a request for comment.

United States Warns China On Spratly Islands and Scarborough Shoal Backlash
The US Department of Defense has warned China that it courts backlash from other countries if it insists on its aggressive stand on territorial disputes. The Pentagon, in its 2012 report to the US Congress on the military and security developments involving China, said Beijing must balance its interests if it wants to maintain harmony with other countries that it depends on for economic growth and development. "Beijing is finding it increasingly difficult to balance these interests, particularly when the pursuit of one conflicts with the pursuit of another," said report released over the weekend. It mentioned China's territorial disputes with other countries, including the Philippines. "China's leaders view the first two decades of the 21st century as a 'period of strategic opportunity' for China's growth and development. They assess that this period will include a generally favorable external environment, characterized by interdependence, cooperation, and a low threat of major power war. "They believe this provides China a unique opportunity to focus on internal development while avoiding direct confrontation with the United States and other great powers. China's leaders do not expect this period to be free of tension or competition (as evidenced by periodic flare-ups with neighbors over territorial disputes in the South China Sea) or to last indefinitely," the report said.
