They are powered by Jelbarts own 1 Cylinder, 2 Stroke engine with Hit and Miss governing, and running on crude oil. Jelbart tractors were very well made and innovative. The only part of the tractors not made by Jelbart was the Bosch Magneto. They made tractors from 10 BHP to 50 BHP capacities. This tractor was found on the rubbish tip at Perenjori, Western Australia, 400km north east, of Perth in the northern wheat belt by Rod Sprigg in 1968. The remains were taken to Perth, and despite 18 years of searching, Rod could not get parts to restore the tractor completely. In 1985 he sold the remains to Dale Connington from Winchelsea in Victoria, who had most of the parts needed to finish the tractor. The opportunity to bring one of these extremely rare iconic Australian tractors to Tasmania arose in September 2007, when Dale sold the tractor to Francis Ransley. While the T36 will handle a 36" diameter log that weighs up to 6000 pounds. The T30 has an 8' reach and is capable of carrying a 16' log fully suspended. The T36 has a 9' reach and is capable of carrying a 18' log. The arches are capable of carrying a 30' or longer log when using a Fetching Arch as the tag axle to pick up the tail. To use the Tractor Arches simply back the arch over the log and use the provided winch and choker line to hoist the log into place. Both sizes are equipped with a standard 3200 lb 2 speed hand winch and 3 choker line. Like the ATV Arch, the Tractor takes advantage of the doubling feature to help reduce the power needed to lift the log.

The antilock braking system, available on T7000 tractors, manages each wheels brakes individually to improve stopping power, increasing manoeuvrability and improving safety when transporting heavy equipment. Another safety advantage: a hill holder engages the brakes to prevent the tractor rolling back during hill starts. If that wasnt enough, the system also allows the tractor to turn on a sixpence by pivoting on a controlled and slowed down rear inside wheel; the operator can even control the amount of slip to eliminate soil damage.

A brief overview of the work we carried out to completely restore this Canadian giant to its former glory. The tractor is a 1978 Massey Ferguson 1135. It features a 6cyl Perkins turbo charged, 130hp engine, driving through a 12 speed Multi-Power transmission. The 1135 was a popular choice for large farmers and contarctors during the late 70's and early 80's. With little competition in it's power bracket, they were a popular tractor and could be often seen powering trailed silage harvesters, or ploughing with 5 forrow semi-mounted ploughs. This particular MF 1135, spent the first few years of its life working in Co. Meath, then it was bought by a large arable farmer in Rathcoffey, Co. Kildare, where it was used as a front line tractor along with another identical machine the farm had bought new. It was then bought by the current owner, and used for general farm work, as well as contract bailing, mowing and other duties. Due to its low road speed, and dated technology, it was replaced by more modern John Deere tractors, and was left sitting in the back of a barn, facing an uncertian and somewhat boring future. After nearly 15 years of waiting patiently, it finally got the attention it deserved, from three eager enthusiasts, myself, MrFoxman360, mechanincal engineer, Vincenzolorenzo, and of course the Boss. Work started in mid January 2008. The tractor was completely stripped, checked, sand blasted and expertely resprayed, replacing many parts with genuine orignals and <b>...</b>

The Tractors is an American country rock band composed of a loosely associated group of musicians, headed by guitarist Steve Ripley. Under the band's original lineup, The Tractors was signed to Arista Records in 1994, releasing their self-titled debut album that year; the album went on to become the top-selling album of 1994, even though it only produced one Top 40 hit on the Billboard country charts. To date, the band has followed up with five more albums.
Since their foundation, most of the band's original members have moved on to separate projects, although they often collaborate with frontman Ripley on The Tractors' more recent recordings. Ripley is the only official member of the group; he has stated that The Tractors is more of a "state of mind", with the original lineup comprising Ron Getman (electric guitar, slide guitar), Jamie Oldaker (drums), Walt Richmond (bass vocals, keyboards), Steve Ripley (guitar, lead vocals), and Casey van Beek (bass guitar, baritone vocals). All five members had previously been backing musicians for other notable artists, including Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, and Leonard Cohen.
By 1990, the group was signed to Arista Records, a newly-formed record label based in Nashville, Tennessee. That album was soon followed by a Christmas album called Have Yourself a Tractors Christmas. The band's members, except for Ripley, soon departed for other projects, although they and Ripley remained close friends, and made cameo appearances on subsequent albums. Ripley, along with several other musicians, released the next Tractors album, Fast Girl, on Audium Entertainment in 1998. After Fast Girl, the Tractors left Audium as well, and soon formed its own label, Boy Rocking Records. In 2009 "Trade Union" was released on E1.

The Tractors achieved their distinctive sound in several ways, most notably from the use of only one microphone, or recording a song in only one take.
