Anjali Trailer 1
Anjali : Youngsters zooming past on their bikes are a common sight in the roads of the capital. Taking inspiration from this scene director Biswa Bhushan Mohapatra's latest Oriya movie Anjali is based on bike racing challenges among college students. Shot in the valleys of Ladakh for songs, the rest of the movie has been set in Bhubaneswar. Mohapatra, who is essentially a cinematographer used to assist Santosh Sivan till the Hindi film Asoka and was also in the entertainment department of a Delhi based news channel.

Dutch SuperFans on way to play Cameroon during FIFA 2010 World Cup
Dutch supporters walk the fan mile to Holland/ Cameroon game in Cape Town June 24, 2010 www.cbc.ca Canadian journalist Anjali Nayar will travel across Africa by train, bus and foot (and when necessary by plane), and will arrive in South Africa just before the World Cup. Along the way, Anjali will tell the continent's stories through its favourite sport: soccer. For the trip, Anjali will bring only the essentials on her back (camera, flip video, computer) and in her hand — a soccer ball. Every day, Anjali will play soccer, whether she's on the beaches of Accra or stuck in one of Lagos' impenetrable traffic jams. Sometimes she'll play with children in the sprawling slums and refugee camps, other times she'll play with adults in the rich diplomatic quarters of major cities. Through her Destination: South Africa blog, Anjali hopes CBCSports.ca readers will discover Africa and what the World Cup and the game of soccer means to the continent.

Ghana vs. Uruguay 2010 World Cup Quarter Finals
Ghana played Uruguay in the Quarter Finals of the 2010 World Cup. If Ghana had won, it would have been the furthest an African team had made it in the Cup's 80-year history. I watched the game from the Fan Park in Durban, South Africa. Check out my blog on Soccer and Africa: www.cbc.ca Canadian journalist Anjali Nayar will travel across Africa by train, bus and foot (and when necessary by plane), and will arrive in South Africa just before the World Cup. Amnesty International 'Shine a Light'
A short film celebrating 50 years of Amnesty International Shining a Light on human rights issues through the power of letter writing. Created pro-bono by the Betterment Bureau, a department of Loyalkaspar inc.
"Back in October of 2010, a chance request for a partnership with Amnesty International fell into the Bureau’s lap by way of Larissa Mettler Mendoza, campaign associate for AI USA and former schoolmate of Bureau co-founder Beat Baudenbacher. Seeing as how the Bureau was created to apply our talents to causes like Amnesty International, it immediately piqued our interest. Amnesty’s request was for us to help them by creating the opening film for their 50th anniversary conference, and it was precisely the kind of thing the Bureau has been yearning to do. But we knew that pulling off a 3:00 mixed-media film in only our free time wouldn’t be easy.
And it wasn’t. Five months of working evenings, weekends and the occasional weekday (graciously donated by Loyalkaspar) pushed the Bureau to its limits and brought out its best. Entire scenes were filmed in our tiny office insert stage (which we call the Garage™), renders were farmed throughout the whole office, and pizza slice after pizza slice were downed as the BureauCreatives™ collectively powered through the wee hours of late 2010 and early 2011, with March 19th in our sights.
It’s hard to believe that day is already behind us, and even harder to believe that we were able to achieve so much in such a small amount of time. And with the events in the Middle East colliding with our March 19th deadline, the time to stand up for freedom and dignity couldn’t be more apparent. We’re proud to have done our small part, and hope that the film inspires others to take action for human rights wherever they may be.
It is our great pleasure to present the opening film, entitled “Shine a Light,” for Amnesty International’s 50th anniversary celebration. We look forward to creating the film for their 100th."

Socialcast "Collaboration"
The talented San Francisco agency, Grand, wanted to help make their client's social networking software a little less technical and a little more emotional. Using a smartly anti-tech approach, Grand asked us to focus on the way people collaborate to produce amazing things - a simple concept that goes back to the caveman and his stick. We would develop an iconic character and visual stories that cut through the tech and speak towards people working together, for good and for bad. Our character design became a mascot for the brand, and our two animation shorts - with playful scores from @kamptweets - struck a delicate movement from character animation to graphic abstraction, and back again.

Anjali Khatri "Goodbye is not the end;it's just untill we meet again"
"Anjali Janae Khatri, 3, of Little Falls, NJ was carried by Angels back home to God on May 26, 2010, after battling Neuroblastoma for 8 months. Our little Angel was born on April 13, 2007 at Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, NJ, the daughter of Ankush and Janine Roberts Khatri. Anjali was an amazing little girl! She loved pink, her Barbie DVDs, Play Doh, glitter, lip gloss and jewelry. She loved the Jersey Shore and going to the playground. Even in her last days, she wore a princess crown! She was never without her purse and she wore her ballet shoes everyday for 8 months. She was a true Warrior Princess and her strength, dignity, love, beauty and grace touched so many people throughout the world. She never gave up and fought so hard. Her strength, love, resilience and understanding have marked so may lives and we will never ever be the same. Although her life was short, she lived and loved BIG. Now, Anjali is dancing in pink, up in heaven, sprinkling glitter on all of us! She is finally free. " I love you Anjali!
