Thiruparrapu Fall, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu state, India.
Thiruparrapu Falls, is a waterfall near Thiruparrapu. There is an ancient temple near the falls, which is popular among the locals and Keralites. Tirparappu Waterfalls are located in Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu state, India. The Kodayar River makes its descent at Thiruparappu. The water fall at this place is about 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) from Pechiparai Dam. The river bed is rocky and about 300 feet (91 m) in length. The water falls from a height of nearly 50 feet (15 m) and the water flows for about seven months per year. The whole bed above the falls is one rocky mass which extends 250 metres (820 ft) upstream where the Thirparappu weir has been constructed for supplying water to the paddy fields. On either side of the river, on the left bank of the river in between the waterfalls and the weir, there is a temple dedicated to Shiva enclosed by strong fortification. The District Administration has recently constructed a swimming pool for children over here which is very popular among the children. Other more serene waterfalls in this area are Vattaparai Falls and Kalikesam falls.

Padmanabhapuram Palace, Interior, Thuckalay, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu
The palace is a Kerala architectural masterpiece with exquisite mural paintings, wooden Carvings and sculpture, November to May. Less crowd in the monsoon months of June and July, 9 Am to 4.30 Pm all days except Mondays and National holidays. Located 55 km away from Thiruvananthapuram on the highway to Nagarcoil-Kanyakumari, Padmanabhapuram was once the seat of the rulers of old Travancore or Venad State from the16th to the late 18th centuries. The name refers to the image of the lotus coming from the navel of Vishnu (Padma - lotus, nabha - navel, Puram - Town). The palace complex was constructed around 1601 AD by Iravi Varma Kulasekhara Perumal who ruled Travancore between 1592 AD and 1609 AD (767 ME and 784 ME). The construction of the Perumal palace at the centre of the complex was completed in 1744 AD On the day of its completion, Maharaja Anizham Tirunal Marthanda Varma, dedicated this palace to Lord Padmanabha and named the palace Sri Padmanabha Perumal Palace. From then on the fort and the surroundings earlier known as Kalkulam came to be known as Padmanabhapuram.

Pechiparai Reservoir, in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India.
Pechiparai Reservoir is a reservoir located 43 kilometers from the town of Nagercoil, near the village of Pechiparai in Kanyakumari District, Tamil Nadu, India. The reservoir was formed by the construction of the Pechiparai Dam, which was built across the River Kodayar about a mile below the confluence of the tributaries Kallar, Chittar and Kuttiyar. It was built during the period 1897 - 1906 by the European Engineer, Mr Minchin, during the reign of the Travancore Maharaja Moolam Thirunal. The original cost of construction of the dam was Indian Rupees 26.1 Lakhs (in the late 19th century). The catchment area of the reservoir is 207.19 km², and the depth is 14.63 meters. The Dam is a straight gravity type masonry dam of 425.5 M. long and 120.70 M. high above the deepest foundation. There is no inspection gallery. The water from the reservoir is used for both irrigation of crops and for drinking purposes, which has led to conflict between farmers who want to use all the water for their crops, and local authorities, who don't have another place to draw drinking water from, for supply to the urban areas. The dam is surrounded by hills of the Western Ghats, and is a scenic place.

Sanguthurai Beach, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district
Sanguthurai Beach, about 8 km from Nagercoil is a palm-fringed and sandy beach. Sothavilai Beach is another good beach, about 7 km from the heart of town. Both beaches were hit by the Indian Ocean Tsunami, but authorities have taken steps to improve facilities again. There is a very good lagoon (estuary - place where the river meets the sea) at Manakudy - 10 km from the town.

Driving through the Vattaparai Forest Stream, Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district, Tamil Nadu.
There are a few small waterfalls in this area - the nicer ones being Vattaparai Falls and Kalikesam falls. There is a small Kali temple, next to the falls. This is a very serene and undeveloped place with only one small tea stall. One can enjoy water rushing through small mountain streams, ferns and pebbles in the rainforests. The falls are surrounded by forest on all sides and forms part of an active animal corridor. The long stream is pollution-free. People are allowed to take a natural bath here and it is believed that the water from the stream has some medicinal effects. This is a serene and peaceful place. It is unlike the most popular falls in this district, the Tirparappu Water Falls on the Kodayar River, which has become a typical crowded tourist spot.

BJP Kanyakumari District fighting Educational Apartheid against Hindus-2
Indian government under Christian Sonia and racist DMK coalition is biased against Indic spiritual heritage and favor Abrahamic fundamentalism. In exchange of communal vote banks this anti-secular anti-humanist government has created an educational apartheid against non-Abrahamic religionists. BJP organized a protest of Tamil HIndus against this educational apartheid on 25th July 2010 at Kanyakumari district. More than 1,00000 people participated in this protest agitation. We apologize for the low quality of audio.
