Irregular & Odd Meter Time Signatures
www.creativeguitarstudio.comAndrew Wasson of Creative Guitar Studio answers a viewers question... Q: The idea of odd time really confuses me. I cant seem to understand how to count in different time signatures. Can you please help me out here with a lesson about feeling the different popular types of odd time signatures? Thanks in advance. Bryce Minneapolis, MN. USA Odd Meter or Irregular Time is still a re-curring pulse to track. Keep that in mind. Just like Regular Time, (such as 4/4) Irregular Time has a re-curring groove. This is the key to getting a handle on Odd Signatures. The complete lesson article for this video is available on the Creative Guitar Studio website. Understanding Time Signature: 7/8
Join Greg's Axe of Creation Live Online Classes every week at: www.powhow.com Time Signature can be a confusing topic for some of us. Counting music should be fun and easy. We will start with a simple 4/4 pattern then remove one note to create a 7/8 pattern. Our tempo remains the same throughout, just how we count changes. Once you grasp how to count 7/8 changing between 4/4 and 7/8 should a simple meter change to understand. Music time signatures - 4/4 and 3/4 time in sheet music
www.playpiano.com Meter in music is defined by a key signature at the beginning of a piece of music. It tells two things: how many counts or beats in a measure, and what type of note gets one count. Time signatures can be in 4/4, 3/4, 2/4, 6/8, and many others. Guitar Time Signature Instructional Video Part 1
This is geared towards beginner to intermediate guitarists, and it's an explanation of normal and odd time signatures in plain and simple terms. Sometimes, the pro videos are really good, but they use a lot of terms that you may not be familiar with. I tried to explain it in really easy terms so you can grow as a musician. Let me know if you like it, and for all you advanced guitarists, please feel free to fill in what I might have left out.

Time Signature Madness
Get the MP3 version here: www.facebook.com No tab for this yet, will update on Facebook. This week I decided to drop the genre mixing and go for a one-style song, with some wacky time signature changes. I know it isn't very "prog", but who gives a damn? Subscribe if you like what you hear! I'm into creative ideas! If you have an idea for a video and I like it, then I WILL do it and I WILL credit you! Twitter: twitter.com Facebook: www.facebook.com FAQ: Q: Where are the genre mixes? A: Man, they even did Polka metal already, I have other ideas. Q: Can you do a metal version of a Lady Gaga song? A: I will never go that low. NEVER. Besides, Justin Bieber is like way better. Q: Can you make an entire song out of that one riff from "10 Genres"? A: Can you make me dinner? UPDATE 28/08/11: An awesome fan called jacosmith86 sent me the time signatures, enjoy! 0:00 = 7/4 0:42 = 10/4 - if you subdivide it, meas. 6, meas. 4, two meas. 5 0:57 = 11/4 1:11 = a meas. of 9/4, two meas. 5/4 1:18 = meas. 14/4 1:23 = four meas. 4/4 1:29 = 7/4 1:49 = two meas. 4/41:52 = 11/4, two meas. 4/4 with triplet feel; repeat 2:05 = one meas. 3/4, one meas. 5/4, one meas. 3/4, one meas. 8/4, one meas. 3/4, one meas. 10/4 2:16 = one meas. 4/4, one meas. 9/8; repeat 2:22 = three meas. 5/4 2:27 = two meas. 4/4, two meas. 5/4 2:34 = 6/8 2:39 = 5/8 2:43 = 6/8

MANIFEST DESTINY
Every time I find myself the recipient of one of these late night phone calls, tramping through some back alley behind another dark abandoned warehouse . . . Stuttering another secret password. . . Entering another hastily constructed operating room. . . Scalpel in hand, performing another indescribable procedure . . . I see another pair of eyes . . . By now in the hundreds . . . Staring . . . Whenever I try to sleep . . . Another member of an unenviable audience. . . Asking a painfully simple question for which I have no answer . . . Why . . .
Cranston says I need to “detach”. I suppose he’s right. I can no longer bear their judgment. I leave them here. . . On the table . . . As I scribble my signature on the confidentiality agreement, I leave them to their fate . . . I say goodbye . . .
Canon HV30, JAG35pro, FCE4, Garageband, JES deinterlacer, Red Giant Quicklooks. Vivisection scenes were filmed entirely on a set built in my(Darrell) garage. Surgery tools and other props were acquired online or at swap meets. Dolly scenes were achieved with a motorized bluetooth dolly we built ourselves. All lighting were halogens bought from Home Depot.

Magic Lantern progress on the Canon 7D
UPDATE: My 7D is no longer accepting firmware updates, which means that unfortunately I have been locked out of further development on the camera. Until I find a workaround, I've shifted work to the 5D Mark 2 and 550D.
This demonstrates the first steps to getting Magic Lantern running on the Canon 7D. It is not very interesting yet since I don't have all of the internals sorted out. The boot process takes a very long time since the Canon firmware is verifying the SHA1 signature of the entire flasher program, which is pretty slow on the ARM9. This will hopefully speed up once we're able to either enable autobooting from the CF card or bypass the signature checks.

Derrick Pope - Counting Odd Time Signatures
Visit www.derrickpope.net and feel free to donate! Derrick breaks down the process of counting odd time signtures in an easy and understandable way. I personally believe that when it comes to this subject in drumming, many drummers try to run before they learn how to walk. Understanding time signatures is the crucial and often overlooked first step towards playing in odd times, and that is what this video focuses on. COUNTING, not playing.
