West County Cork, Ireland - Tour Guide
Matty and Mary take us on guided tour of West Cork in Ireland where the sea is below and the mountains are above! They travel from Bantry on the Friday Market Day to the makers of Milleens Cheese. They then head to Garnish Island to check out the special gardens. Using Irelands only Cable Car they then head to Jersey Island for a well deserved picnic.

Clonakilty Co. Cork Ireland
Clonakilty is situated within the heartland of West Cork and is renowned for its beautiful streetscapes, colourful shop fronts and selection of fine hotels, restaurants, guesthouses, pubs and cafes. The narrow streets and lanes of the town open into elegant squares; a notable feature of the town is the 18th century Emmet Square, which is surrounded by some beautiful houses with impressive Georgian doorways. Walking along the narrow streets of the town one can see Harringtons Butchers, where the famous Clonakilty black pudding is still manufactured today to the original recipe that was first prepared in 1880. The colourful shop fronts and hanging baskets of flowers are striking as one strolls through the town. There are many historic buildings to be seen in the area such as the Post Office, which is housed in an old Presbyterian church. Also worthy of mention is the national Michael Collins Memorial Statue, which was unveiled on August 22nd 2002, in tribute to one of the greatest military and political leaders in Irish History. Not far from there, just off the main coastal road to Kinsale, is the restored site of an ancient fort called Lis na-gCon. Clonakilty is an ideal holiday destination and an ideal base from which to tour West Cork. It is an area flavoured with some of West Cork's most spectacular scenery. There are some fantastic beaches around the area, such as Red Strand, where one can see the famous Galley Head lighthouse. There are also many wonderful towns such ...

Silage in Co. Cork, Ireland. John Deere 7400.
During a few days spent in Co. Cork, we motored around one sunny day (16th May) and found this happening. Duggan is the contractor. Tractors all Deere, trailers - well, one was Herron. Found that driver in the shop and followed him to the field - all nice guys. This is part one and there are two more plus some raking.

Carrigaline, County Cork, Ireland
TSS 124.3 IF 0.954 Carrigaline is an ideal base for exploring Counties Cork and Kerry. The town is 12km from Cork City and 5km from Ringaskiddy Ferryport or Cork Airport. Famous for its pottery, Carrigaline is one of three satellite towns built around Cork City. It is the largest in the Owenabue Valley, offering the visitor a very comprehensive range of services and facilities. Currabinny Forest Trail is just a short distance east of Carrigaline and represents one of many scenic walks in Carrigaline and its environs. St John's Holy Well on the outskirts of the town is a recognised historical landmark.

Fin Whale Killing Itself In Baltimore Co.Cork Aug 14 2012 :(
A young Fin Whale trying to kill itself in Baltimore Harbour :( Please LIKE this upload if you want to stop this from happening again here in Ireland !! Dis-I-Like it if you like whales dying by slashing themselves up on rocks for over TWO DAYS here in Ireland. Whales are 'Protected' here & under current laws/legistration there is no way to put this beautiful whale out of it's pain - it died today at 11am after TWO DAYS of this horrific suffering. I never ever want to see a whale slashing itself to bits on rocks here in Ireland and that is the only reason why I have uploaded this video - to try and stop this from ever happening again ! The NPWS (National Parks & Wildlife Service) allowed this whale to slash itself up on the rocks for two days as they decided it should "Die naturally and hopefully quickly". Something needs to be 'changed' so this will not happen again in Ireland.
