What is biomass?
www.dalkia.com. Plant matter biomass is widely available everywhere in the world. It represents a considerable source of energy that is still not used much. Dalkia is at the center of this energy revolution especially with its biomass solutions. Intelligent management of this renewable energy enables heat, cold and electricity to be produced.

Review: The Solo Stove biomass backpacking stove
I don't need another backpacking stove. Ever. But the idea of an effective, lightweight stove that is fueled on biomass was intriguing. After all, how much of a backpack's weight is stove fuel? And what if you run out? I decided to test the Solo Stove. The Solo Stove is a natural convection, inverted downgas gasifer stove. It incorporates a secondary combustion for a more efficient and cleaner burn. That's what the website says. I ran a Solo Stove through its paces. Here is what I found out.

BIOMASS 200 2012
The Serrat Biomass recovery mulcher consists in a pick-up rotor which lifts up the pruning of fruit trees, vineyard and branches in a second rotor to mulch it. It can be operated by tractor from 120 to 140 CV and 130 to 200 CV with power take off on the front lift. In the case of a standard tractor with a front power takeoff, it's possible to hitch a trailer behing to store the mulched material. Mulcher with double reversible hydraulic feeder (system BRALAKC). This mulcher is capable of mulching branches up to 12-15 cm of diameter. The size grading is adapted so that the material can be directly use in waste heat boiler of biomasse.

Biomass Wood Stove for Riding
This is a test run of a new biomass gassifying wood stove that I bought for my long term adventure riding trip. I live off my bike and I love to cook so having this along with my small butane burner will be great. One handful of sticks can boil 2 cups of water in under 4 minutes. For more info have a look on my blog: www.adventureriding.com.au

22 Hp Biomass Pellet Mill Make Feed or Fuel Pellets. Gemco pellet press, wood pellet press, homemade pellet mill machine. www.pellet-press.com E-mail & info@gemco-machine.com. The biomass energy industry and also the feeding animals business are truly creating in a way that we are witnessing numerous methods being used to create both of the two. Pellet mill machine is a tool that is useful to both from the two industries. The 22 hp biomass pellet mill make feed or fuel pellets other machine is a extremely common machine and is now extremely popular all over. The 22 hp biomass pellet mill make feed or fuel pellets can be used for processing both animal's feedstuffs and wood pellets. That's why this machine is famous and popular all about. This machine features a extremely lengthy history and therefore, you do not have to worry about its performance. This machine was specifically made to produce the pellets as animal's feedstuffs in the very starting.

Biomass Briquets from Cambodia | Global ideas
Wood is the main source of energy in Cambodia, which has resulted in widespread deforestation. In response, French NGOs have developed an alternative - charbriquets made from coconut shells and dried organic waste. The fuel does not use chopped lumber - giving it a clear advantage. The briquets are inexpensive and burn longer than wood. Factory manager Carlo Figa Talamanca who took over the company from his former employers now wants to reach a wider market, He is working with a French aid group that turns students into a sales force. Talamanca is confident that his social enterprise SGFE (Sustainable Green Fuel Enterprise) will soon reach profitability. For more go to www.dw.de

Multi Burn Biomass Cooking Stove Wood Pellet Rocket Stove Wok Station TLUD Gasifier
This is a stove I made to efficiently cook with biomass. The basket insert shown is for wood pellets but it can use other combustibles such as wood chips, sticks, charcoal and biomass briquettes etc. Several different burn baskets inserts are in the works including the other one shown that will have a bellows hook up in a future video and perhaps an alcohol insert too. I find wood pellets to be a great advantage because they burn hot and steady for at least 30 minutes with one charge. Fresh pellets can be loaded in the coal catch pot which preheat, begin to burn and can then be used to "top up" giving you continuous cooking. A thin high carbon wok is very efficient by itself but watch through to the end of the video you can use pots, pans, Dutch ovens etc. Anyway, let me know what you think and I would appreciate it if you take a moment to visit my channel, rate and subscribe. Figured I would show the backyard homemade wind turbine too since it was making so much noise on this windy day. Thanks for watching!

Review: The Deadwood Biomass Stove
A stove fueled with biomass - twigs, sticks, pine cones, scrap construction wood etc - just makes sense. A quality biomass stove is a one-time investment, and there are no operating costs. In the aftermath of a disaster, the ability to purify drinking water by boiling water may be critical. For that, you need a container and an efficient heat source. You really don't want to run out of fuel!

ASR Radioactive Seawater Impact Map
ASR http://www.asrltd.com/japan/plume.php
We use a Lagrangian particles dispersal method to track where free floating material (fish larvae, algae, phytoplankton, zooplankton...) present in the sea water near the damaged Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power station plant could have gone since the earthquake on March 11th. THIS IS NOT A REPRESENTATION OF THE RADIOACTIVE PLUME CONCENTRATION. Since we do not know how much contaminated water and at what concentration was released into the ocean, it is impossible to estimate the extent and dilution of the plume. However, field monitoring by TEPCO and modelling by the Sirrocco group in University of Toulouse, France both show high concentration in the surrounding water (highest rate at 80 Bq/L and 24 Bq/L for respectively I-131 and C-137) . Assuming that a part of the passive biomass could have been contaminated in the area, we are trying to track where the radionuclides are spreading as it will eventually climb up the food chain.
The dispersal model is ASR's Pol3DD. The model is forced by hydrodynamic data from the HYCOM/NCODA system which provides on a weekly basis, daily oceanic current in the world ocean. The resolution in this part of the Pacific Ocean is around 8km x 8km cells. We are treating only the sea surface currents. Particles in the model are continuously released near the Fukushima Daiichi power plant since March 11th. The dispersal model keeps a trace of their visits in the model cells. The results here are expressed in number of visit per surface area of material which has been in contact at least once with the highly concentrated radioactive water.

Viessmann Biomass (US version)
Wood Fuel from Fields Viessmann Biomass The Viessmann Group, a heating technology company located in Allendorf/Eder (county Waldeck-Frankenberg), is the largest company in Hesse growing trees for use as fuel. Its subsidiary, Viessmann Biomass (Viessmann Biomasse), has been planting fast growing trees, mostly poplar, around its head office on about 500 acres of land for the last few years. The plantations are spread over eight different locations with transport distances of only a few miles. For small parcels of land to become economically viable, their boundaries often had to be realigned. Yearly growth provides the company with about 4.5 tons per acre. That is the equivalent of over 500 gallons of heating oil for every acre per year. Half of the heat the company needs for its headquarters is obtained this way. This film is part of the DVD "Bioenergy in Hesse" by the Bioenergy Initiative of Hesse Directed by Michael Schlag, Butzbach / Germany mi.schlag@web.de Tel. +49-(0)6447-1021
