أعمق من كلمات - شعر مقروء بالعربية - Original arabic poem
Lyric translation -------- In deeper words----------- Sometimes the ocean weaves in silence When all the winds blow soft and slow As if the waters flow in sadness In the lonely heart of a man in love I'll say the words as it should be and follow it until where it leads I'll say it all and all when all will be so real I may make mistakes but I believe I do this cause I do conceive That the deeper is the wave the more it lasts In our merging seas And if I ask no many questions And keep you talking till the end And if I keep too many murmurs Its that I love you in deeper words In deeper words In deeper words Deeper than the sea In deeper words Sometimes the towers rise for guideless To share their tallness with the stars When all the oceans weave in silence Then let my lonely heart find light You'll see my light when it should be and follow it until where it leads I'll say it all and all when all will be so real I may seem too far but I never leave I do this cause I do believe That the deeper is the wave the more it last In our merging seas And if I ask no many questions And keep you talking till the end And if I keep too many murmurs Its that I love you in deeper words In deeper words In deeper words Deeper than the sea In deeper words Deeper than you and me Deeper words

Did Muhammad copy and plagiarize others? Pre-Islamic Arab poetry appears in Quran
Many Islamist apologists claim the Koran was direct revelation from Allah to Mohamed. They also claim that no human can produce anything like the Qu'ran, yet when you look closer it appears that Muhammad pilfered and stole stances and lines from pre-Islamic poetry. The author of the book The Deception of Allah shows how Muhammad possibly copied, word for word, letter by letter, even with Arabic vowel marks, the poetry of a pre-Islamic Christian Arab. The ancient poem was an Arabic love poem with the splitting of the moon and is exactly the same with the same meaning, plagiarism and borrowing parts of certain verses of Imrau'l Qais, also spelled Imra'ul Cays, an ancient Arabic poet Muhammad used such pre-Islamic literature as the Saba Moallaqat of Imra'ul Cays in his composition of Suras 21:96; 29:31,46; 37:59; 54:1, and 93:1. Even the daughter of the Imra'ul Cays approached Muhammad's wife Aisha and told her that Mohamed STOLE her father's poetry. She said this is not Allah, this is my father's poetry.

Arabic Spring Poetry Readings (1)
The Arabic Program at Williams held an evening "Celebrating Arabic Spring" on November 3, 2011. The event started by socializing with the guests over delicious Arabic refreshments and sweets. Professors Vargas and Khattab then introduced Arabic Spring, an occasion to celebrate with poetry originating in the uprisings in Egypt, Libya, and other countries in the Middle East. Students from all levels of Arabic study recited a selection of revolutionary poems and songs and native speakers, Mustafa M., Fulbright TA from Libya, and Omer, international student from Jordan, recited poems by Libyan Abdurrahman Alashmaw and Egyptian Mahmoud Darwish. The evening ended on a high note with a rap song in English titled "Libya Bleed" performed by two 101 students. More here: cflang.williams.edu

1700% Project: Mistaken for Muslim
In this video, narratives collide with music, poetry and politics to create a complex and layered experience. A poet, dancer, angel, prisoner converge with community to speak, deflect, and intervene against racial profiling and hate crimes. This convergence exemplifies a spirit of defiance and resistance from communities of people who refuse to end in violence. This spoken word video is a collaboration between artist Anida Yoeu Ali and filmmaker Masahiro Sugano with over 100 diverse volunteers, participants and community members in the Chicagoland area. It is part of an ongoing project that engages art as a form of intervention against the racial profiling of Muslims in a post 9/11 era. The larger project titled “The 1700% Project” uses a multi-faceted artistic approach to educate the wider public about the diversity within the Muslim community. The number 1700% refers to the exponential percentage increase of hate crimes against Arabs, Muslims and those perceived to be Arab or Muslim since the events of September 11, 2001. The text is created from 100 lines of filed hate crime reports. The poem is an unapologetic response to injustices directed against the Muslim community that reflects both the absurdity and dangers of racially-motivated fears. A poem by HRH Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdul Aziz Al-Saud

"Daughters of The Wind" is a famous Arabian poem that inspired us to search for the most advanced technology to capture the extraordinary kinetic beauty of Arabian horses.. We became fanatic in our quest to record the world's most astonishing Arabians running free in stunningly beautiful locations, exquisite light and in breathtaking slow motion. The results humbled all of us. We just weren't prepared for how powerfully these unbelievable creatures affected our emotions..

Deen Tight
DEEN TIGHT takes us on a controversial and very emotional journey through the lives of several Muslim hip hop artists as they search deep within their hearts to find a balance between their faith, culture and identity as Western Muslims.
Music, considered taboo practice for many traditional Muslims, has also become one of the most prominent methods for Muslims living in the West to share their faith with the world.
We take you on a journey from California, Atlanta, New York, the UK, Morocco and Abu Dhabi with our artists as they deal with their own internal conflict as well as external pressures and criticism in search of the answer to a very pressing question:
Hip Hop: Is it faith or folly?
The film features interviews and appearances with well known Muslim artists such as HBO Def Poetry Jam Artists AMIR SULAIMAN and LIZA GARZA, Rock Steady's POP MASTER FABEL, MUTAH BEALE formerly NAPOLEON of Tupac's Oulawz, Graffiti artist AEROSOL ARABIC, KUMASI of Black Wallstreet, Remarkable Current's M-TEAM, AFTER HIJRAH, Bay Area Underground Beat Maker FANATIK, Producer DJ BE LIKE MUHAMMAD, RC Lyricist TYSON, Hip Hop Chess Federation founder ADISA BANJOKO, DJ KID DRAGON, DJ RAICHOUS, and others.

Intro to Arabic Poetry
Why Arabic Poetry? Published Arabic Poetry contains the best examples of more complicated as well as overly simplified syntax which none of the alKitaab Series teaches. My goal is to ease the student into Arabic poetry, provide the student with tools for tackling Advanced Arabic and give the student strategies for developing his own uniquely personal style of writing, outside of the confines of standardized expository-college writing.
