The Shack
The Trinity is a complex thing to attempt to understand. There is a book called "The Shack" that tries to explain its existence and the inner workings of it. However, they do so in a way that is demeaning to God, and therefore heretical. Pastor Mark Driscoll explains the errors of "The Shack" in this clip taken from the first week of the Doctrine sermon series. The whole sermon can be found at www.marshillchurch.org

A Certain Ratio "Shack Up"
From Soul Jazz (UK): A Certain Ratio was one of the first groups to sign to the legendary Factory Records in Manchester. Whilst many people credit New Order and The Happy Mondays as the groups who brought Dance music into the sound of Manchester (later Madchester!), it is in fact ACR who were there in the beginning. Formed in 1978, the initial line-up comprised Simon Topping (vocals), Martin Moscrop (guitar and trumpet), Peter Terrell (tape loops) and Jeremy Kerr (bass). Their debut seven-inch "All Night Party" was Factory Records fifth release. Soon after this Donald Johnson joined on drums. After a cassette only release "The Graveyard and The Ballroom" containing early versions of future ACR classic tracks like "Do The Du" and "Flight". After this came "Shack Up". This single originally came out in Belgium, on a new Belgium subsiduary, Factory Benelux, and consequently was only available on import. This release became an underground dance record in New York (Billboard chart position 52!). This would lead to their first gigs in New York at places like Danceteria and The Roxy. On their first gig in New York they were supported by a young Madonna! "Shack Up" had originally been recorded by Banbarra in the US and had been a Northern Soul/Funk favourite in the UK. Unlike many bands of this period, ACR were happy to mix the two traditions of their collective Manchester upbringing (Punk and Northern Soul). "Shack Up" manages to be one of Punk's funkiest ever products ...

The Dove Shack - Summertime in the LBC [MUSIC VIDEO]
The Dove Shack is G-Funk group from Long Beach, California. Consisting of C-Knight, Bo-Roc and 2Scoops, the group made their debut with the song "This Is The Shack" on Warren G´s album "Regulate...G Funk Era". Under the same name they released their first album back in 1995 with the substantial hit single "Summertime in the LBC" featuring Arnita Porter. They later contributed to a few compilations, and dropped Reality's Got Me Tied Up in 2000 on Street Solid Records. This song reminds me of the summer of '95...BBQ's...watching "The Show" at the theater...damn, good times.

Shotgun shack redux: mortgage-free in 320 square feet
Two years ago, Debra and her family lived in a nearly 2000 square foot home on an acre and a half of land. Then her husband lost his job and they began to work 4 jobs between them to pay the mortgage, until one day they remembered they had a choice. Before having their son, Debra and her husband Gary had spent 9 years living in very tiny homes in South America. Living small hadn't felt like a sacrifice, but a way to stay focused on what is important. They decided they wanted to get back to that. They stopped working so hard, sold or gave away all of their extra stuff and began looking for the perfect tiny home. Debra had always liked the Mississippi shotgun style homes, and one day, while browsing craigslist, they noticed an ad for a local Arkansas company custom building tiny homes for a price that could mean an end to house payments. Six weeks and $15000 later they had their own fully paid-off dwelling. Today, Debra, her husband and 13-year-old son live in a 320-square foot home that is not a sacrifice, but exactly what they need.
