Saleem Jaffar (born November 19, 1962) is a retired Pakistani cricketer who played in 14 Tests and 39 One Day Internationals from 1986 to 1992. Jaffar was born in Karachi, Sindh. He is the only Ismaili Nizari Muslim (Aga Khani) played for any cricket team in the world.

Jaffar took 5 for 11 on his first-class debut in 1983–84, and in 1985–86 finished the season with 80 wickets at a Bowling average of 19. He made both Test and ODI debuts against West Indies the season of his international call-up. His tour of England in 1987 was ended by injury. Against England at Karachi in 1987–88 he took five wickets and was selected for the tour of the Caribbean that followed. Against New Zealand at Wellington in 1988–89, he took match figures of 8 for 134, including his only Test five-for.

After his test career he played in the British Columbia Mainland Cricket League, in Vancouver, BC, Canada. During his involvement, the Ismaili Cricket Club won back-to-back championships.

In 2007 he was appointed as a selector for the Pakistan national cricket team.

Courtney Andrew Walsh (born October 30, 1962) is a former international cricketer (fast bowler) who represented the West Indies from 1984 to 2001, captaining the West Indies in 22 Test matches. He is best known for a remarkable opening bowling partnership along with fellow West Indian Curtly Ambrose for several years and holding the record of most Test wickets from 2000, after he broke the record of Kapil Dev. This record was later broken in 2004 by Muttiah Muralitharan.

Walsh's first claim to fame came in 1979 when he took 10 wickets in an innings in school cricket and three years later made his first-class cricket debut.

Walsh made his Test debut against Australia in Perth in 1984, taking 2 wickets for 43 runs. Later that season, he also made his One Day International debut against Sri Lanka at Hobart. He first played for Gloucestershire in 1984 and was a mainstay of the side until 1998.

In 1987, Walsh was named as one of the Wisden Cricketers of the Year. In 1988–89 at Brisbane he took a 'complicated' hat trick, dismissing Australia's Tony Dodemaide with the last ball of the first innings and Mike Veletta and Graeme Wood with his first two deliveries in the second. During that winter he also took 10 wickets in a Test match for the first time against India in Kingston.

In 1994, he was appointed captain of the West Indies for the tours of India and New Zealand after Richie Richardson was ordered to rest because of "acute fatigue syndrome". In 1995, he took 62 Test wickets at an average of 21.75 runs per wicket, a performance which he bettered in 2000 when he took 66 Test wickets at an average of 18.69, including 34 wickets in the Test series against England at an average of 12.82 runs per wicket. Coming close to the record for a West Indian bowler of 35 wickets in a Test series (set by Malcolm Marshall in 1988). In the 1990s, his partnership with Curtly Ambrose was one of the most feared bowling attacks in world cricket.

During the first part of his career, Walsh served as the "stock" bowler in an attack featuring Marshall, Joel Garner and later Ambrose, but after the retirement of Marshall and Garner took the role as opening bowler. His action lacked the elegance of those bowlers, but its economy and his natural athleticism ensured he was accurate and durable, even over very long spells and he used his height (about 198 cm, or six-foot-six) to extract occasionally vicious bounce. Even as he lost pace in the later stage of his career he continued to take wickets at an undiminished rate; teams tended to defend against him and Ambrose and attack the weaker third and fourth bowlers.

Walsh played his last ODI against New Zealand in 2000 and his last Test match against South Africa in his homeland, Jamaica, in 2001.

Walsh is one of only four bowlers to have bowled over 5000 overs in Test cricket, the other three being spinners: Muttiah Muralitharan of Sri Lanka and Shane Warne of Australia, and Anil Kumble of India. These four, in addition to Glenn McGrath are also the only bowlers to have taken 500 or more Test wickets. Among the five, Walsh is the only one who has not taken 8 or more wickets in an innings. In ODIs, Walsh was not as successful although he will be remembered for his best performance, 5 wickets for just 1 run against Sri Lanka in 1986. In first-class cricket, he took 5 wickets in an innings more than 100 times and 10 wickets in a match 20 times. Walsh's feats with the bat are rather less flattering, as indicated by an average of seven in both Test cricket and ODIs. He also holds the record for the most Test ducks (43), but also for the most "not outs" - 61 times. His highest score, coincidentally, was 30 in both forms of the game. By the end of his career, he had such a reputation for poor batting that the crowd would cheer every ball he faced. Whether this was in appreciation of his batting or an attempt to wind up the bowling side is open to interpretation. That said, Walsh is a much loved and respected cricketer and the West Indies have arguably yet to find a fast bowler with anything approaching his talents.

Walsh is also famous for his sportsmanlike gesture of not mankading last man Saleem Jaffar of Pakistan in a World Cup match in 1987, which cost the West Indies the match and a place in the semi-finals.

He is currently a regular feature of the Lashings World XI alongside other cricket legends including Sachin Tendulkar and fellow West Indian Richie Richardson.

Javed Chaudhry (or Jāved Caudharī, Urdu, Punjabi: جاوید چوہدری) is a newspaper columnist in Pakistan. His series of columns have been published in six volumes in Urdu language. His most notable column ZERO POINT has great influence upon people of Pakistan especially Youth and Muslims of Pakistan. He writes for the Urdu newspaper Daily Express four time a week, covering topics ranging from social issues to politics.^[1]

Javed Chaudhary received a degree in Mass Communication from Islamia University, Bahawalpur in 1991. In 1997, Chaudhary joined Daily Jang as a columnist. All Pakistan Newspapers Society (APNS) declared him the Best Columnist of 1997 and 1998. In 1998, the Government of Pakistan honored him with an Excellency Award for his outstanding performance in the national journalism. In 2006, he joined the newspaper, Daily Express, and since then he has been a prime member of its team of columnists. He regularly contributes through his column Zero Point

Nazia Iqbal is a popular Pashto singer. She was born in 1980 Swat Valley, Pakistan.^[1] She has fan base stretching from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pashtun areas of Balochistan, Pakistan to most parts of Afghanistan, and has achieved much recognition. Nazia sings in several languages: Pashto, Urdu, Punjabi, Persian and English. In 2005 she confirmed her marriage to Javid Feza, an Afghan singer from Ningarhar province of Afghanistan^[2] and settled in Dubai.^[3]

Her first Urdu album Paigham was released in 2001. Recently^[when?] her famous Albums in Pashto are: De Okhko Baran,Rasha Rasha,Armanoona and Ta Na Marawara Yem etc. ^[4]. Nazia pashto songs are liked by Pashtun people from every walk of life. In 2012, she announced that she would stop singing and concentrate more on following her religion. She stopped singing in January 2012 and her last public show was held on 27th January 2012 in Sharjah - UAE. She announced that she will establish an Islamic Education Center for children to let them know Islam properly. She also requested people to follow their parents instruction and don't hurt them as it will affect all of their lives.

Fariha Pervez (Urdu: فریحہ پرویز; born 2 February^[1] in Lahore, Pakistan) is one of the leading female singers of Pakistan. Fariha Pervez started her career anchoring and acting from a very young age on PTV. She also co-hosted a popular children's music program Aangan Aangan Taray. After the release of her debut album, Nice & Naughty, her song "Patang Baaz" (a.k.a. "Bo kata") became a massive hit. Her musical career took off and she decided to focus solely on singing.

So he fulfilled his dreams by encouraging his one & only daughter to pursue her career as a musician.^[9] In 1995, Fariha Pervez^[10] joined "Master Feroze Gill" (Cousin of "Ustad Ghulam Hussain Shaggan" of "Gwaliar Gharana") for classical^[11] training in music.

In her early days as a singer, Fariha Pervez also appeared in the famous Ptv programmes which consisted of Ameer Khasro's songs by the name of Woh Bahar Ayi & Chilmann. Fariha Pervez sang alongside her cousin Arifa Siddique, Irum Hassan, Seemi Zaidi, Shabnam Majeed, & Saira Naseem. Other than that, Fariha Pervez has sung numerous drama titles & singles as well as several songs in the popular "Virsa"^[12] Series of traditional music, produced by Mian Yusuf Salahuddin^[13] for PTV.

While singing jingles for an advertising agency, Fariha Pervez met Sattar Khan who convinced Fariha to release her debut album 1996 under the record label Lips Music. Nice & Naughty turned out to be a massive hit. This album had 11 songs including the very famous song Patang Baaz Sajna. Lyrics of this album (Except Hum Tum Ko & Kat He Gayi) were written by Zahid Abbas, while the contributions in musical arrangements were made by Mujahid Hussain, Hassan Turk, Qadeer Wazir & Pervaiz Mehdi. Concept and music styling was by Sattar Khan.

Music Viewzik (1997)[link]

After the success of her first album, Fariha released her 2nd album Music Viewzik in 1997 under the Sonic Record label. Like the 1st album, this album was a mixture of pop, classical, bhangra & ghazal. This album contained 12 songs altogether with the remix version of Patang Baaz Sajna. While on 4 bonus tracks were added to CD which Fariha Pervez sang for films. The cassette only had 12 songs.
