Sun Myung Moon (Korean 문선명; born Mun Yong-myeong; 25 February 1920) is a South Korean billionaire,[1][2] author, power broker, media mogul, peace activist, religious leader and founder of the Unification Church.[3][4][5][6][7][8] The church has five to seven million members worldwide and often garners media attention for the blessing ceremony, a mass wedding or marriage rededication ceremony that can feature sometimes thousands of participants.[9][10][11][12] The church's portfolio of global interests has become a multi-billion-dollar empire.[13][14][15][16][17] The holdings include the UPI, The Washington Times,[18] and the Tongil Group, a one of the largest South Korean business group or chaebol with business interests world-wide. The church is the largest owner of U.S. sushi restaurants and in the Kodiak region of Alaska, it is the area's largest employer.[19][20] The church owns the only automobile manufacturing plant in North Korea, Pyeonghwa Motors, and is the second largest exporter of Korean goods.[21][22][23][24] Three of Moon's NGOs, Universal Peace Federation, Women's Federation for World Peace and Service for Peace, are in consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council.[25][26]
Moon has honorary degrees from more than 10 universities and colleges worldwide.[27][28][29] Moon is a member of the Honorary Committee of the Unification Ministry of the Republic of Korea.[30] According to a pro-Moon book, "there are several writers who argue that Moon should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize."[31]
According to the Guinness World Record, Moon is the record-holder for presiding over mass marriages.[32]
Moon-owned Yeongpyeong Resort, The Ocean Resort and Pineridge Resort are scheduled to host the Expo 2012,[33][34] 2018 Winter Olympics[35][36] and Formula 1.[37] Moon also manages FIFA-accredited Peace Cup.[38] FIFA itself has funded more than $2m for Peace Cup since 2003.[39]
Since 2000, Moon promotes the creation of an interreligious council at the United Nations as a check and balance to its political-only structure.[40][41] Since then King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia and King Juan Carlos of Spain hosted officially a program to promote the proposal.[42] UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, while being a South Korean Foreign Minister, has visited Sun-Myung-Moon-related[43] Embassy of South Korea in Washington, D.C. and thereafter, while being the UN Secretary General, attended an event of the Unification Church.[44][45][46]
Moon's Universal Peace Federation is in general consultative status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council[47][48] and a member of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development,[49][50] a member of the United Nations Division for Palestinian Rights,[51][52] a member of the United Nations Human Rights Council,[53][54][55] a member of the UNHRC,[56][57] a member of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific,[58]
Participants in one or more of the International Conferences on the Unity of the Sciences, founded by Moon, included Nobel laureates John Eccles (Physiology or Medicine 1963, who chaired the 1976 conference),[59] Eugene Wigner (Physics 1963).[60]

Moon founded the Family Party for Universal Peace and Unity in different countries.[61] Thus, Ek Nath Dhakal, a Member of Parliament (MP) from the party is a member of the Unification Movement and leader of the Nepalese chapter of the Universal Peace Federation.[62] Official events have periodically been held in honor of Sun Myung Moon in the municipalities of Korea.[63] Moon's projects have been lobbied in the National Congress of Brazil by Brazilian MPs.[64][65][66] Formerly, U.S. Presidents Harry S. Truman, Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon were "honorary" presidents or directors of Moon's Korean Culture and Freedom Foundation,[67] and former United States Secretary of the Treasury Robert B. Anderson was Moon's consultant.[68] Moon have been held the dialogues between the members of the Israeli Knesset and the Palestinian Parliament as part of his Middle East Peace Initiatives.[69]
Moon's followers believe that he sleeps about two hours a night. He speaks without notes and gives lengthy speeches, some of which last all day.[70] He knows many languages, including English,[71] and, according to his official webpage, is fluent in Japanese.[72]
Sun Myung Moon was born Mun Yong-myeong on February 25, 1920 in modern-day Sangsa-ri (上思里, lit. "high-thought village"), Deogun-myon, Jeongju-gun, North P'yŏng'an Province, at a time when Korea was under Japanese rule. Moon's birthday was recorded as January 6 by the traditional lunar calendar (February 25, 1920, according to the Gregorian Calendar).[73][74]
Moon's family followed traditional Confucianist beliefs. When he was around 10 years old, they converted to Christianity and joined the Presbyterian Church, where he taught Sunday school.[75]
After World War II and the Japanese occupation ended in 1945, Moon returned to Korea and began preaching his message.[75] The beginnings of the church's official teachings, the Divine Principle, first saw written form in 1946. The book lays out the core of Unification theology and is held to have the status of scripture by believers[76] estimated five to seven million people worldwide.[77][78][79][80].
Moon built his first church as a refugee in Pusan before formally founding "The Holy Spirit(ual) Association for the Unification of World Christianity" in Seoul on May 1, 1954. He published the foundation book of the church, Wolli Hesol, or Explanation of the Divine Principle, in 1957.[81] In 1950-s, he was a supporter of the World League for Freedom and Democracy, an international anti-communist organization based in Taiwan.[82] Financial support for Moon's early anti-communist activities came from Ryoichi Sasakawa, a Japanese billionaire.[83]
By the end of 1957, Moon sent missionaries in 112 towns throughout the South Korea. At the time Moon's Unification Church had the first ever megachurch in Korea.[84]
In 1958, Moon sent missionaries to Japan, and in 1959, to the United States of America.[85]
In 1962 Moon and other church members founded the Little Angels Children’s Folk Ballet of Korea, a children's dance troop which presents traditional Korean folk dances. He said that this was to project a positive image of South Korea to the world.[86]
In the 1970s Moon, who had seldom spoken to the general public before, gave a series of public speeches to audiences in the United States, Japan, and South Korea. The largest rally were a rally in 1975 against North Korean aggression in Seoul and a speech at an event organized by the Unification Church in Washington D.C. that also featured fireworks and music. These talks were highly visible and brought Moon into greater public attention.[87] At the time, Moon was the best known Korean in the world.[70] This fact, plus the myriad organizations, his anti-communism, mass weddings, and his ambition — led to highly critical media coverage in the 1970s and 1980s[70]
In 1971, Moon moved to the United States, which he had first visited in 1965. He remained a citizen of the Republic of Korea and maintained a residence in South Korea.[88]
In 1972 Moon founded the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences, a series of scientific conferences.[89][90] The first conference had 20 participants; while the largest conference, in Seoul, South Korea in 1982, had 808 participants from over 100 countries.[91][92]
On February 1, 1974 Nixon publicly thanked a Unification Church-related pro-Nixon campaign and officially received Moon.[93]
In 1975, Moon sponsored one of the largest peaceful gatherings in history (1.2 mln people) in Yoido, South Korea. That same year, he sponsored a rally of 300,000 by the Washington Monument in Washington D.C..[94]
In 1975, Moon founded the International Relief and Friendship Foundation,[95] the charitable fund,[96] which co-sponcors UN and UNESCO programs[97] for the sake of implementation of the Millennium Development Goals in the Middle East,[98][99] Haiti,[100] Africa,[101] etc.
In 1975, Moon sent out missionaries to 120 countries around the world.[81]
In 1980 Moon asked church members to found CAUSA International as an anti-communist educational organization, based in New York.[102] In the 1980s it was active in 21 countries. In the United States it sponsored educational conferences for Christian leaders[103] as well as seminars and conferences for Senate staffers and other activists.[104] In 1986 it produced the anti-communist documentary film Nicaragua Was Our Home.[105]
In 1981, the Unification Movement proposed to build 200 km- and $ 100 billion- underwater tunnel to the governments of Japan and Korea, which is now at the initial stage of construction and is funded by both governments.[106]
In 1982 Moon sponsored the US$50 million movie Inchon about the Korean War.[107][108][109][110]
In 1982 in the case United States vs. Sun Myung Moon, Moon was convicted by the U.S. government for filing false federal income tax returns and conspiracy. His conviction was upheld on appeal in a split decision. He was given a prison sentence and spent 18 months in the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut. Many individuals, organizations and religious figures protested the charges, saying that they were unjust and threatened freedom of religion and free speech, clerics urged pardon from the government for Rev. Moon.[111] Prof. Laurence H. Tribe of the Harvard University Law School argued for Mr. Moon that the trial by jury had doomed him to conviction based on religious prejudice.[112] Based on this case, reporter Carlton Sherwood wrote the book Inquisition: The Persecution and Prosecution of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon. Moon himself said the following on this occasion:[113][114]
I would not be standing here today if my skin were white and my religion were Presbyterian. I am here today only because my skin is yellow and my religion is Unification Church.... The ugliest things in this beautiful country of America are religious bigotry and racism.
In 1984, according to New York Times and the Vatican Mission to the United Nations, the rector of an Argentine Roman Catholic university awarded an honorary degree to Moon at a ceremony in a United Nations.[115]
In Washington, D.C., Moon found common ground with strongly anti-communist leaders of the 1980s, including United States President Ronald Reagan. His international media conglomerate News World Communications, founded with Unification Church funds in 1976,[116] founded The Washington Times in 1982. By 1991, Moon said he spent about $1 billion on the paper[117] (by 2002 roughly $1.7 billion),[118] which he called "the instrument in spreading the truth about God to the world".[119]
In 1985, Moon and his wife received the Doctor of Divinity degree from the Shaw University.[120]
In 1986, Marc Galanter (psychiatrist) made a research concluded that "Moon`s marriages proved to be happy".[121] Another long-run research by psychologist Robert Epstein concluded that "arranged marriage in the Unification Church works as well as arranged marriages in other cultures and certainly far better on average than mainstream marriages in the United States".[122] According to USA Today, "Moon teaches that romantic love leads to sexual promiscuity, mismatched couples and dysfunctional societies".[123][124]
In August 1985, seven years before the fall of Soviet Union, the Professors World Peace Academy, an organization founded by Moon, sponsored a conference in Geneva to debate the theme "The situation in the world after the fall of the communist empire." The conference was chaired by professors Morton Kaplan and Aleksandras Štromas.[125]
In 1988, the Blessing Ceremony of the Unification Church was held for 6,516 couples in South Korea, all personally matched by Moon.[126]
In 1989, Moon became the largest foreign investor in China[127][128]
In 1989, Moon founded Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma,[129] the most successful soccer club in Korean football, having won a record 7 league titles, 2 FA Cups, 3 League Cups, and 2 AFC Champions League titles.
In April 1990 Moon visited the Soviet Union and met with President Mikhail Gorbachev. Moon expressed support for the political and economic transformations under way in the Soviet Union. At the same time the Unification Church was expanding into formerly communist nations.[130] That same year, Moon founded $8 mln Universal Ballet project, with Soviet-born Oleg Vinogradov as its art director and Julia Moon as its prima ballerina. At the opening ceremony, letters of congratulation from President Bush and John Frohnmayer, chairman of the National Endowment for the Arts, were read.[131]
In 1990, Moon met with Ahmed Kuftaro, the Grand Mufti of Syria, who presented to Moon a signed copy of the Koran.[132][133][134]
In 1991 he met with Kim Il Sung, the North Korean President, to discuss ways to achieve peace on the Korean peninsula, as well as on international relations, tourism, etc.[135]
In 1992 Moon founded the Women's Federation for World Peace, sending 1,600 female volunteers to 160 countries around the world to care for children, and for eradication of poverty, hunger, illiteracy and AIDS.[136] Three branches of the Federation of Women for Peace around the world in different countries have a special consultative status with UN ECOSOC.[137] Women's Federation for World Peace is a member of the UN Commission on Sustainable Development as well.[138]
In 1992 Moon gave the wedding blessing for the 30,000 couples at the Seoul Olympic Stadium.[139] Three years later he did it again for 360,000 couples here.[140]
In 1994, Moon was officially invited to the funeral of Kim Il Sung, in spite of the absence of diplomatic relations between North Korea and South Korea.[141] Later on, in 2011, after the death of Kim Jong-il his youngest son laid a wreath to Kim in Pyongyang.[142]
In 1995, Moon met with the Argentinian President Carlos Menem.[143]
In 1995, Moon received an honorary degree from the University of Bridgeport, which he financially rescued investing $98 mln."The entire world did everything it could to put an end to me, yet I did not die, and today I am firmly standing on top of the world" - Moon said during the ceremony.[144] "If you have somebody who's that much of a benefactor, you don't just shake his hand and say thank you. Without him, the university would have died." -- Dr. Richard L. Rubenstein, the President of the University of Bridgeport, explained an honorary degree.[145][146]
In the 1990s Moon's ownership of major business enterprises, including The Washington Times, the United Press International, and Pyeonghwa Motors was noted in the media. A small sampling of include computers and religious icons in Japan, seafood in Alaska and ginseng in Korea, huge tracts of land in South America, a recording studio and travel agency in Manhattan, a horse farm in Texas and a golf course in California.[147]
In the mid-1990s, former U.S. President George H. W. Bush accepted millions of dollars from Moon's Women’s Federation for World Peace to speak on Moon's behalf around the world.[81] In 1996, Moon was endorsed by George H. W. Bush:[148]

Tiempos del Mundo. A lot of my friends in South America don't know about The Washington Times, but it is an independent voice. The editors of The Washington Times tell me that never once has the man with the vision interfered with the running of the paper, a paper that in my view brings sanity to Washington, D.C. I am convinced that Tiempos del Mundo is going to do the same thing.
In 1994 the New York Times, in a review of a PBS Frontline documentary on the Unification Church, said that, "outside investigators and onetime insiders … give a picture of a theocratic powerhouse that is pouring foreign fortunes into conservative causes in the United States."[149]
In 1998, Moon has forgiven a $90 million loan to the University of Bridgeport and has donated an additional $15 million.[150]
In 1999, the Nobel Peace Prize winner and South Korean President Kim Dae-jung participated, along with Sun Myung Moon in the 10-th Anniversary of the Segye Ilbo daily, owned by the latter.[151]
In 2000 Moon has sponsored a United Nations conference which proposed the formation of "a religious assembly, or council of religious representatives, within the structure of the United Nations." Religious movements represented at the summit were Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, Shinto, Bahai, and Native American religions.[152] In the same year, he joined with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan in sponsoring the Million Family March in Washington D.C., a follow-up event to the Million Man March held in 1995.[153] In January 2001 Moon sponsored President George W. Bush's Inaugural Prayer Luncheon for Unity and Renewal.[154] In 2003 Moon sponsored the first Peace Cup international club football tournament.[156][157] George H. W. Bush's youngest son Neil Bush accompanied Moon on a speaking tour of Asian countries in 2005.[158]
In 2000, Moon has held the Blessing Ceremony in the UN Headquarters.[159]
In 2000, Oscar Arias, who is the President of Costa Rica and Nobel Peace Prize winner, attended one of international scientific conferences, organized by Moon.[160]
In 2000, one of the Moon's front organizations launched its activities in China and opened an office in the Health Ministry of China in Beijing.[161]
In 2000, First President of Zambia Kenneth Kaunda and 68th Prime Minister of Great Britain Edward Heath took part in Moon's 80th birthday party along with other 3000 dignitaries from around the world. Edward Heath said the following congratulatory remark:[162]
The significance of this 80th birthday party is to show all of us how much they have achieved in their lives, There are other who have disagreed with Rev. Moon and this is natural. It is the argument that follows such situations which enables the real truth to emerge
In 2001, New York Times wrote that Moon manages the top Asian ballet company, the Universal Ballet.[163]
In 2001, the Roman Catholic Church archbishop Emmanuel Milingo was wed by Moon with a Unification Church member in the Blessing Ceremony of the Unification Church ;[164] Milingo was immediately excommunicated after he ordained four married men as bishops and now he is calling for the reconciliation of the Church with married members of the clergy.[165][166] In 2010, Milingo along with 20 married priests founded their own schism, emphasizing at every turn, "how wonderful it is to live with a woman".[167]
In 2001, about 100 pastors came up to the stage while Moon was inviting them one by one, after his speech, during the Million Family March in Washington, D.C., which was co-organized by Moon.[168]
In 2003, Congressman Danny K. Davis testified before Speaker of the United States House of Representatives about Sun Myung Moon praising his commitment to world peace and interfaith harmony.[169]
In 2003, the Polish President and the Nobel Peace Prize winner Lech Walesa attended one of the events hosted by Moon.[170]
In 2003, Pelé, widely regarded as the best football player of all time and former Brazilian Sports Minister, met with Moon.[171]
In 2004, at a March 23 ceremony in the Dirksen Senate Office Building, in Washington, D.C. Moon crowned himself with what was called the "Crown of Peace."[172][173] Law makers who attended included Senator Mark Dayton (D-Minn.), Representatives Roscoe Bartlett (R-Md.) and Elijah Cummings (D-Md.) , as well as former Representative Walter Fauntroy (D-D.C.) . Key organizers of the event included George Augustus Stallings, Jr., a former Roman Catholic priest who had been married by Moon, and Michael Jenkins, the president of the Unification Church of the United States at that time.[172] Rep. Danny K. Davis played an active role in the ceremony.[173]
In 2004, Moon hold opening ceremony of the largest helicopter manufacturer in Asia, with 500 VIPs participating, namely Washington Times Aviation; the company produces Sikorsky helocopters on sub-contract basis.[174] Moon travels worldwide in his private jet which cost $ 50 million,[175][176] and he does not believe in the literal descent of Christ from heaven to Earth, according to his own words.[177] The same year, Moon launched $ 1.5-billion construction project of 70-storey twin skyscrapers in Seoul;[178] a year later he bought an area of 46,000 m ² in Seoul for the construction of skyscrapers.[179] Currently the project is under construction and scheduled to be completed by 2013.[180]
On September 12, 2005, at the age of 85, Moon inaugurated the Universal Peace Federation with a 120-city world speaking tour.[181] At each city, Moon delivered his speech titled "God's Ideal Family - the Model for World Peace". In April 2008, Moon appointed his youngest son Hyung Jin Moon to be the new leader of the Unification Church and the worldwide Unification Movement, saying, "I hope everyone helps him so that he may fulfill his duty as the successor of the True Parents."[182]
In 2005, Moon was hosted by Philippine President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo at her official residence.[183] The same year South Korean President Kim Dae-Jung sent a congratulatory video message on Moon's birthday occasion, which was broadcasted to 350 invited guests, including five former heads of state in presence.[184] The same year, Sun Myung Moon was hosted by the President of Uruguay Tabare Vasquez[185] and by Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid.[186]
In 2005, Chun Doo-hwan, the 12-th President of the Republic of Korea, and Chung Mong-joon, the Vice-President of FIFA, attended the opening ceremony of the Unification Church-owned Peace Cup, along with Sun Myung Moon.[187]
In 2006, the President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapakse, 4th President of Sri Lanka Dingiri Banda Wijetunga, twice Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremasinghe and the Speaker of the Parliament of Sri Lanka W. J. M. Lokubandara were guest speakers in the one of Moon's events. In that event, President Rajapakse stated:[188][189]
It is simply amazing that at the age of 86, Dr. Moon is travelling to 100 cities in 67 nations in an extra ordinary effort to promote a culture of peace
In 2007, Moon has built the largest helicopter plant in Asia.[190]
On July 19, 2008, Moon, Han, and 14 others were slightly injured when their Sikorsky S-92 helicopter crashed during an emergency landing and burst into flames in Gapyeong.[191][192] Moon and all 15 others had survived the incident with minor injuries, and were treated at the nearby church-affiliated Cheongshim Hospital.[193] Experts from the United States National Transportation Safety Board, the United States Federal Aviation Administration, Sikorsky Aircraft Corporation, and General Electric assisted the South Korean government in its investigation of the crash.[194][195]
Also in 2005, President of the Ukrainian Peace Council and the first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk met with Sun Myung Moon in one of Moon's events.[196]
In 2009, the Yonhap News Agency reported that Moon had plans to establish a sacred sanctuary at his birthplace.[197] That same year, Moon's autobiography, As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen (Korean: 평화를 사랑하는 세계인으로),[198] was published by Gimm-Young Publishers in South Korea. The book became a best-seller in Korea and Japan.[199][200][201][202] An English translation was published in the United States later that year.[203][204] In October, 2010 it was noted that the Korean edition had sold over one million copies and had become a topic of conversation in South Korea.[205] The book is available at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Korea[206] and in government libraries of South Korea[207][208][209] and Japan.[210]
In 2009, Moon was awarded by Wisconsin Senate on the motion of Senator Jon Erpenbach with a certificate of congratulations "on occasion of the celebration of his 90th Birthday".[211]
In 2009, Moon presided over the Blessing Ceremony for 40,000 people on the campus of the Sunmoon University; the ceremony was supported by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Korea.[212]
In 2010, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon spoke at Moon-owned Manhattan Center during Africa Day event, which was also co-sponcored by one of Moon's front organizations.[213][214][215]
In 2010 about 1,000 dignitaries from around the world sent gifts and greeting cards on Moon's 90th birthday, including President Kim Jong Il, U.S. President Barack Obama,[216][217] Japanese Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone[218] the Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga and 6th UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros Ghali; the latter saluted Rev. Moon for "ninety years of rich achievement for the peace and welfare of all humanity bringing together people of diverse racial, religious, ethnic, national and cultural backgrounds."[219] That same year, the Georgia Senate passed a resolution No. SR 1095 prepared by Senator Donzella James, "recognizing the birthdays of Reverend Sun Myung Moon" and his wife.[220]
In 2010, according to Forbes' Moon-related article, the latter had given much of the responsibility for the Unification Church's religious and business activities to their children, who were then in their 30s and 40s.[221]
In 2011, construction of $ 18 million Yeosu Expo Hotel was completed ; the hotel located at Moon-owned The Ocean Resort in Yeosu, the venue of the Expo 2012.[222] The opening ceremony was attended by the governor of the relevant province.[222][223] Another one, The Ocean Hotel, was completed in February 2012, and its opening ceremony was also attended by the governor and the president of Expo 2012 organizing committee.[224]. According to his followers, "Rev. Moon believes that fish can provide food for the entire world "[81] and "Rev. Moon is just very interested in the ocean. He feels It's the last frontier on this Earth, and one that is extremely necessary in putting this Earth back into Its orbit". The seavilization-themed Yeosu EXPO 2012 is titled "The Living Ocean and Coast: Diversity of Resources and Sustainable Activities".[225]
In 2011, the President of Mongolia Tsakhiagiin Elbegdorj served as the patron in the honorary committee of the Global Peace Festival held by the son of Sun Myung Moon, Hyun Jin Moon.[226] The latter have also met with the President of Costa Rica Laura Chinchilla,[227] the President of Paraguay Nicanor Duarte,[228][229][230] the President of Uruguay Julio Maria Sanguinetti,[231] the President of Ethiopia Girma Wolde-Giorgis, Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai and the Archbishop of Anglican Church of Kenya Eliud Wabukala.[232][233][234][235]
In 2011, aged 91, Moon addressed in a regional United Nations Headquarters in Geneva on the Millennium Development Goals.[236]
In 2011, at the age of 91, Sun Myung Moon designed an unsinkable boat seven meters in length with a specially-designed bottom made of rubber.[237][238]
In July 2011, Moon was hosted by the President of Nigeria Goodluck Jonathan in his official residence.[239]
In December 2011 in Pyongyang, to mark the 20th anniversary of Sun Myung Moon's visit to the DPRK, de jure President Kim Yong Nam hosted the younger son of Sun Myung Moon's in the official residence.[240][241] The latter donated 600 tons of flour to North Korean children of Jeongju Province, the birthplace of Sun Myung Moon.[242][243] Also, after the 2011 earthquake in Japan, he donated $ 1.7 million to the Japanese Red Cross.[244][245]
In 2011, Moon with his family travelled to London and members of his family addressed at the Parliament of the United Kingdom before the parliamentarians, including David Anderson and Tarsem King, Baron King of West Bromwich.[246]

In 2012, according to official web-page of Universal Peace Federation, founded by Moon, In 2012, Aslambek Aslakhanov, who is the member of Duma and the Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of Russia, traveled to Korea to the birthday event of Sun Myung Moon and delivered a speech there.[249]
In February 2012, Stavros S. Anthony, the Mayor of Las Vegas recognized the contributions of Moon-owned Little Angels Children's Folk Ballet of Korea.[250]
