I Never Said Goodbye

I Never Said Goodbye is a Sammy Hagar solo album, his only solo album released while he was a member of Van Halen. It is his ninth solo studio album. The album was recorded in ten days as a contractual obligation to Geffen Records as a condition of his leaving the label to join Van Halen and their record label, Warner Bros. Records (Geffen's distributor at the time, and also Hagar's home when he was part of Montrose).

The album was originally titled Sammy Hagar, and included an untitled cover. The album was renamed I Never Said Goodbye, the name being chosen as part of an MTV promotional contest. Some pressings retain the title Sammy Hagar, not to be confused with the 1977 album Sammy Hagar.

It features Eddie Van Halen on bass guitar, who said in an interview that he also played a very brief part on guitar uncredited.

The songs "Give to Live" and "Eagles Fly" were also performed live by Van Halen together with Hagar. "Give to Live" also topped the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in 1987, a first for Hagar as a solo artist. The former song was included on the album Live: Right Here, Right Now, the latter on the optional bonus disk as well as on the "Jump" single.

Never Have I Ever

"Never Have I Ever", also known as "I've Never…" or "Ten Fingers", is a drinking game.

Rules

The verbal game is started with the players getting into a circle. Then, the first player says a simple statement starting with "Never have I ever". Anyone who has done what the first player has not must drink. Play then continues around the circle, and the next person makes a statement. An additional rule – uncommon, but beneficial to the game –is that if there is no one taking a drink, then the one who said the particular "I have never…" must take a drink. This rule often forces the players to strategize more and makes for less disposable/pointless suggestions.

A further variation holds that whenever only one person is drinking, that person must give a detailed account of why they are drinking. Another variation of this game involves putting up five or ten fingers, putting one down whenever something mentioned has been done. Those who end up putting down all of their fingers must take several successive drinks.

More Adventurous

More Adventurous is the third full-length album released by Los Angeles-based band Rilo Kiley. The album, released on August 17, 2004, marks a significant change in the band's sound with the goal of being "more adventurous" than their previous music. The effort paid off by increasing the group's audience and garnering critical praise; noted rock critic Robert Christgau, initially naming the album the fifth best release of 2004, included it in his recap of the greatest albums of the 2000-2009 decade, placing it at the twenty-fourth spot. Christgau also declared "It's a Hit" song of the year for 2004, subsequently declaring it the eighth best song of the decade. The album eventually placed at the fourteenth spot in the Pazz & Jop ballot for 2004.

Two versions of the album were released: the regular store-sold version in a normal jewel case and a limited edition digipak version (1,000 copies) sold at the album's release party and concert.

"Accidntel Deth" was produced by Jimmy Tamborello, known for his work in The Postal Service and as Dntel (which explains the unusual spelling of the title).
