How to Use Index Finger in Salah - Sheikh Saleh al-Fawzan. English (CC) & Text Below
The sheikh answers briefly on how to use the index finger during the tashahhud. Q: O sheikh if you could please explain to me the way to do the 'sabbaabe' (using the index finger in tashahhud). Yes. A:You raise the index finger during prayer when you pronounce the name of Allah Or when you make the du'a (supplications during tashahhud) You raise it as a sign of tawheed (oneness of Allah) Q:Some people oh sheikh raise and move their index finger until the end of the prayer. A:Yes, that is because it is believed from some traces (hadeeth) or the likes that it must be moved and that its severe against the shaytaan But the most correct way, and Allah knows best, is that he doesn't move it he just raise it but doesn't move it and that is a sign of tawheed.

The Index Finger in Tashahhud | Shaykh 'Abdul 'Azeez bin Baaz (rahimahuAllaah)
The scholars have difered on this issue: 1 -- The Hanafis say that the finger should be raised when saying "Laa (no)" in the phrase "Ash-hadu an laa ilaaha ill-Allaah (I bear witness that there is no god except Allaah)" and it should be lowered when saying, "ill-Allaah (except Allaah)." 2 -- The Shaafa'is say that it should be raised when saying "ill-Allaah." 3 -- The Maalikis say that it should be moved right and left until one finishes the prayer. 4 -- The Hanbalis say that one should point with the finger when saying the name of Allaah, without moving it. Shaykh al-Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: There is no basis for any of these definitions and manners in the Sunnah. The closest of them to the correct view is the Hanbali view, were it not that they limited raising the finger to when saying the name of Allaah. [Tamaam al-Minnah, p. 223] -The view of Shaykh Saalih al Fawzaan (may Allaah preserve him): www.youtube.com - Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al Uthaymeen (rahimahuAllaah) explains the evidences: Muslim (580) narrated that 'Abd-Allaah ibn 'Umar said: When he -- meaning the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) -- sat during the prayer, he would place his right hand on his right thigh and clench all his fingers, and point with the finger that is next to the thumb, and he would place his left hand on his left thigh. According to a report narrated by Muslim from Ibn 'Umar, when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sat during ...

Two Finger Rule Explained
www.SelectBilliards.com - The BEST way to find your perfect pool cue! Today I'm going to show you an easy way to shoot short kick-shots. Kick-Shots are usually somewhat close to the pocket and often difficult to see from the other end of the table. As with everything, there is an easy trick to repeatably getting these types of shots. I call it "The Two Finger Rule". The Two Finger Rule is essentially a way of creating a visual reference for your eye to follow so that you can shoot the cue ball in exactly the right place to make your ball. In the example below, I'll show you how it's impossible to see the 14 ball because the 7 ball is in the way. Using the Two Finger Rule, you'll want to take your thumb and index finger and place your index finger and place it exactly where you're going to make contact on the ball. Take your thumb and move it until it just touches the rail. Now your thumb and index finger should be forming a nice little gap of about 1 - 2 inches. Making sure not to move your fingers, take your hand and move it laterally to the rail until your index finger that was originally touching the ball is now touching the rail. Your thumb should now be touching somewhere in the middle of the rail.Press your thumb down where it is and straighten your index finger out. You should kind of look like you're pointing an imaginary gun, only upside down. By doing this, you'll create a reference point that you can aim at from the other end of the table. Lift up your hand ...

the CD 2010 : www.productionsdoz.com Bonjour A "little" video to explain the guitar's tremolo s technique une "petite" vidéo pédagogique sur les diffrentes formes de trémolo en réponse aux demandes faites depuis quelques temps ---------------------------------- translation by Flobazin : "He gives us three different tremolo techniques. First, the classic one: thumb, ring finger, middle finger, index finger (it's when you can see PAMI, these are the initials of each finger in french) The thumb plays the bass and the others play the very quick melody on one string Second, the flamenco one (used on the song at the end of the video): thumb, index finger, ring finger, middle finger, index finger the thumb still plays the bass and then the 4 others play on the same string Third, an other technique: thumb, index finger, middle finger, ring finger actually it's the same result as the first one, but using a different technique (he says that he learnt guitar alone at the beginning and that he naturally did this technique) my first CD : www.productionsdoz.com 2 cd : www.productionsdoz.com

How to Improve Your Violin Playing and Stop Bow Bouncing
Hi, my name is Kim and I am the instructor of Violin Stars www.violinstars.com A lot of my students struggle with producing a good tone on the violin and they also have a lot of trouble with their bow bouncing. Both of those problems are caused by an incorrect bow hold. Letting the index finger fall too far over the bow is a common problem and it will cause you to have more of a forced rough sound. You don't want all of the weight to be in your index finger, and that is what will happen if you let it fall too far over the stick. Another common mistake is making the circle with your index finger and your thumb, instead of your middle finger and thumb. That is the main cause of bow bouncing! It puts a lot of stress in your hand and it throws off your balance, making the upper half of the bow feel really bouncy and out of control. So always make sure that your middle finger is directly across from your thumb, and NOT your index finger! Please check out my website www.violinstars.com for more violin tips and I also have a forum where you can connect with other violin students like yourself!

Mike Dragon--The Smiths--The Boy With The Thorn In His Side--Acoustic Cover
Check out my original songs elsewhere on my channel!!! I don't know why everyone likes this one so much. I feel like a lot of my other Smiths Covers are better. I think this one just has more momentum, I guess... =) Chords: i'm self taught so i won't be able to name the complex chords...i'll just describe them. sorry! it starts by shuffling between C and D three times. On the third C, lift you're index finger. On the third D, that quick little diddy is done by putting pinky down on the 3rd fret, then pinky off, then middle finger off, then middle finger back on 2nd fret. Then slide the classic D formation up so that the index finger and middle finger are on the 7th fret, put pinky down. The next chord (where the lyrics start) is hard to see: Index finger 5th fret on high E string, pinky 7th fret on B string, ring finger 7th fret on G string. Now it gets easy...when the lyrics say "side" it's A minor. "hatred" is C. "there lies" is D. "murderous desire" is G. Hit a quick A minor. then sit on D for a count or two. "for love" is back to sitting on A minor. From here everything just repeats. you'll be able to track it now that you know the chords. if this is confusing let me know! I'm definitely confused...

How to Deal Poker - The Poker Pitch - Mechanics
Brought to you by truepokerdealer.com. These videos cost time and money to make. They will all come out eventually, but any donations will greatly speed up that process. Donate or not, thank you to all of our viewers! Donate at http In this video, you will learn how to pitch cards like you see poker dealers do in casinos. A couple of benefits from learning this correctly include dealing more hands per hour and avoiding different types of arthritis that result from a lot of dealing. Below are the pitch concepts discussed in the video. Elbows in by your sides. Palms face the ceiling, for the most part. Angle (bevel) the cards in the deck slightly. Fingers on the side of the deck stay at the same level as the deck itself. Two types of pitches are taught in this video. The primary pitch pushes the card partly off the deck. You grab the card with your thumb and index finger near the top corner of the card. Your middle finger finds its comfortable divot. Your middle finger projects the card. One of the challenges is learning the timing of when to release the card with the thumb and index finger and when to project the card with the middle finger. The secondary pitch pushes the card out farther off the deck, and the thumb and index fingers grab the card more toward the middle of the card. This method gives slightly more control over bad cards or in tough situations. For both pitches, turn your body in your chair to pitch in different directions as opposed to turning your arms.

Healing the Mild Tennis Elbow using the Acupressure and Seed therapy
An Easy Self Treatment Technique: The video shows how tennis elbow can be treated through acupressure and seed therapy on the index finger. mns100.sulekha.com To do this one needs to find the painful point(s) on the index finger of the affected hand. According to Sujok acupressure the index finger of the hand represents the whole hand. The middle crease of the index finger corresponds to the elbow joint of the affected hand. If your right elbow has pain choose the middle crease of the right index finger. Using a blunt pencil locate the most painful point near this crease. Massage this point intensly for 2 to 3 minutes. This will bring down the pain. After the massage take one fenugreek seed and apply the seed above the painful point using a plaster. If there are more than one painful point apply several seeds in this region. You can apply the seeds during the night and remove them next day. Leave some gap on the finger while using the plaster to allow the blood flow. Do this for several days till the cure is achieved. If you have the pain in both elbows, then apply seeds on both index fingers. If this is giving only symptomatic relief and not cure, then your back may also need to be treated. In such a case to strengthen the back apply three strips of seeds on the backside of the palm. Apply one more plaster on them to exert pressure. Backside of the palm corresponds to the back of the human body. Fenugreek seeds are available in indian grocery stores. Use fresh seeds ...

No-turning-chain-dc
This is a technique that makes a fully formed double crochet stitch at the beginning of a new row as an alternative to the traditional turning chain (ie, ch 3 and count as a dc). It eliminates the bumpy edge and big gap between the next dc stitch. Update (3/13/09): This stitch can also be used when working in the round. It can replace Ch 3 (counts as first dc) in a pattern. Turn your work. Pull the loop to about the length of a dc. Hold the top of the loop with your index finger on the top of the hook. Heres the trick yarn over with the two strands of the LOOP. So now, you have the strand youre holding with the index finger & two strands of the loop on the hook. Dont let go for the stitch, but if you let your finger go, it just looks like you twisted the loop. Ok, to continue, yo with the new yarn & pull through the 2 strands of the loop. Is your index finger still holding the top of the loop? Yes, good! Yo w/ the new yarn & pull through 2 loops. Voila! A fully formed dc at the beginning of the row. Try this method when changing colors: video.google.com It's brilliant.

BB King Blues Guitar Lesson
Texas Blues Guitarist Rev. Muddy ( .texasbluesguitar.net ) shows you where the King of the Blues gets many of his trademark licks and tricks. It's called "The Sweetbox" and it's always in the sameplace no matter what key you are in. All you do is go to your Root note on the B string with your index finger, then put your middle finger on the G string one fret in front of your index finger and BINGO! You simply make that little 2 note chord and then use your ring finger and bend the B string from 2 frets in front of the root note. The Possibilities are endless! It's all in my Blues Guitar instructional video called "Texas Blues Guitar with Dennis Dullea" It's available here texasbluesguitar.net

iLimb Pulse hand prosthesis: Switching between grip patterns
This is the new iLimb Pulse prosthetic hand. I've been using it for about four months. You can tell the hand to switch to up to four out of eight available grip modes or grip patterns with an included software. The software connects to the hand via bluetooth. I use a co-contraction for changing from the default grip mode to wrist rotation. That means that I send a simultaneous muscle signal to both electrodes. That is very useful for a lot of things, for example pouring drinks. I activate my second grip mode by sendeing two quick impulses to the opening electrode. My second grip mode is called precision pinch. It moves the Index finger in opposition to the thumb. It is very useful for picking up small objects. My next grip mode is called index point. I activate it by sendeing three quick impulses to the opening electrode: One, two, three. It is very useful for typing. My fourth grip mode is called thumb park. I activate with a open signal that lasts more than two seconds. The hand then parks the four fingers and only moves the thumb. That is very useful for donning and doffing clothing. In summary, I can tell the i-Limb to do five differnt things: Move all fingers, rotate the wrist, go to pinch mode for picking up small objects, point out the index finger for typing, and park all fingers but the thumb. Each mode is associated with its own control signal, so there is no "cycling through" modes. Any mode can be activated from any other mode. It is the most advanced ...
