The Feast of Our Lord's Baptism - January 13, AD 2013 - Saints Mary and Martha Anglican Church
Join us for Mass -- The Feast of Our Lord's Baptism! (If you live in the Mount Sterling area or find yourself travelling through on a Sunday, come and worship with us!) Our hymns and songs of praise for this Mass included: "Shine, Jesus, Shine", "Gloria in Excelsis Deo", "Tunc locutus es" (Psalm 89:20-29), "O Splendor of God's Glory Bright", "Fairest Lord Jesus" and "We've a Story to Tell to the Nations". The texts from sacred Scripture this Sunday were Isaiah 42:1-9; Acts 10:34-38; and the Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. Luke 3:15-16, 21-22. Father Todd's sermon, "A Good Conversation made Better: Lighting the Candles of Baptismal Grace", begins at about the 19:20 minute mark and includes great quotes from CS Lewis and Saint Maximus of Turin. The texts from sacred Scripture this Christmas Eve were Isaiah 9:2-4, 6-7; Titus 2:11-14; and the Holy Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ according to St. Luke 2:1-20.
