The Broadcast Film Critics Association (BFCA) is the largest film critics organization in the United States and Canada , representing approximately 250 television, radio and online critics.
Founded in 1995, the BFCA presents its Critics' Choice Movie Awards each year to honor the finest achievements in filmmaking. A portion of the proceeds from the awards presentation ceremony at the Beverly Hills Hotel is donated to the Starlight Children's Fund.
The BFCA also selects a Film of the Month and officially recommends other worthy films throughout the course of the year. As an additional service to moviegoers, each film is given a Critics' Choice Rating (on a 1-10 scale, 10 being the highest), based on the cumulative grades each film receives in the monthly balloting. The BFCA is led by its President and Board of Directors. Joey Berlin is currently serving as President. The Board of Directors are John De Simio, Jim Ferguson, Mark Ramsey and Sara Voorhees.
The BFCA also sponsors the interview site and online community Critics Choice. The site features work of professional film critics and broadcast journalists while the online community lets film fans interact with critics and give their own reviews.
Anne Jacqueline Hathaway (born November 12, 1982) is an American actress. After several stage roles, she appeared in the 1999 television series Get Real. She played Mia Thermopolis in The Princess Diaries (2001) and its 2004 sequel. Hathaway is also an Emmy-winning actress for her voice-over performance on The Simpsons.
Hathaway had dramatic roles in Havoc and Brokeback Mountain, both in 2005. She starred in The Devil Wears Prada (2006) and in Becoming Jane (2007) as Jane Austen. In 2008, she was acclaimed for her lead role in Rachel Getting Married, for which she won awards and was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actress. In 2010, she starred in the box office hits Valentine's Day and Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland, as well as Love and Other Drugs. In 2011, she had a voice role in the animated film Rio and starred in Lone Scherfig's adaptation of One Day. She portrays Selina Kyle in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Rises and Fantine in Tom Hooper's Les Misérables.
People magazine named her one of its breakthrough stars of 2001, and she first appeared on its list of the world's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2006.
Angelina Jolie ( /dʒoʊˈliː/ joh-LEE, born Angelina Jolie Voight; June 4, 1975) is an American actress and director. She has received an Academy Award, two Screen Actors Guild Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards, and was named Hollywood's highest-paid actress by Forbes in 2009 and 2011. Jolie promotes humanitarian causes, and is noted for her work with refugees as a Special Envoy and former Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). She has been cited as the world's "most beautiful" woman, a title for which she has received substantial media attention.
Jolie made her screen debut as a child alongside her father Jon Voight in Lookin' to Get Out (1982), but her film career began in earnest a decade later with the low-budget production Cyborg 2 (1993). Her first leading role in a major film was in the cyber-thriller Hackers (1995). She starred in the critically acclaimed biographical television films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999).
Élisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre (full name Élisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre; born Élisabeth Jacquet, 17 March 1665, Paris – 27 June 1729, Paris) was a French musician, harpsichordist and composer.
Elisabeth Jacquet was born into an important family of musicians and masons in the parish of Saint-Louis-en-l'Ile, Paris. A childhood prodigy, she played the harpsichord before King Louis XIV to inaugurate her career as a virtuoso performer at the age of five. At the court of Louis XIV she was noticed by Madame de Montespan, and was kept on in her entourage. She later married the organist Marin de La Guerre, son of the late organist at the Sainte-Chapelle, Michel de La Guerre, in 1684 and left the court. Thereafter she was known as Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre. After her marriage she taught and gave concerts at home and throughout Paris, and gained much acclaim. A quote from Titon du Tillet speaks of her
"marvellous facility for playing preludes and fantasies off the cuff. Sometimes she improvises one or another for a whole half hour with tunes and harmonies of great variety and in quite the best possible taste, quite charming her listeners." (Le Parnasse Français, 1732)
Isabella Leonarda (6 September 1620 – 25 February 1704) was an Italian composer from Novara. At the age of 16, she entered the Collegio di Sant'Orsola, an Ursuline convent, where she stayed for the remainder of her life. Leonarda is most renowned for the numerous compositions that she created during her time at the convent, making her one of the most productive woman composers of her time.
Anna Isabella Leonarda was born on September 6, 1620, the daughter of Giannantonio Leonardi and his wife, Apollonia. The Leonardi were an old and prominent Novarese family whose members included important church and civic officials and knights palatine. Isabella's father, who held the title of count, was a doctor of laws.
In 1636, Leonarda entered the Collegio di Sant'Orsola, an Ursuline convent in Novara. Her family maintained close ties with Sant'Orsola as benefactors, which some speculate may have contributed to Leonarda's influence within the convent. She held various positions of authority throughout her time at Sant'Orsola - as madre (1676), superiora (1686), madre vicaria (1693), and consigliera (1700). The precise significance of these titles is unclear, but superiora was probably the highest office in the convent.
Everybody gets fucked up of saying ther's no way to live,
Working half our lives like dogs then try to have fun
I turn the TV off, don't watch the dreams that I can't afford,
And I take a look all around, see the old world falling down
I'm guess I'm happy, got everything I needed
Guess I got what I deserve, must've been born in the wrong place
I must be happy, that's what my mommy always told me but
Can somebody tell me why I've burned forty years in a single night
We're against the wall and everybody knows it
And all around the world it's all the same
There's people living and dying in the street
It 's you and me, can't you see
Now mom and dad, don't get me wrong,
I dug my fingers in the earth.
I drew you pictures of my pain.
They were so pretty.
They were so vain.
Put your hands in the water.
Let it touch you everywhere.
Boat of my father.
Cut from my mother.
Father.
I'm lonely.
I'm an only.
I learned to put on airs.
I needed them to breathe.
Today I wake up, tell myself this is me.
Now this is home.
But the property's on loan.
So much for letting go.
I'm picking up the phone.
You´re a sucker for a backstagepass No one gets in
until they´ve kissed your ass A 2 inch rider with
all to go If something´s missing there´ll be no
show
Pobehujem po luke,
pavuka mam na ruke.
Ci ten pavuk, ci ten vie,
kolko musiek vlastne zje.
Vcera zjedol jednu a dnes druhu,
zajtra zase tretiu, stvrtu.
Ci ten pavuk, ci ten vie,
kolko dni on prezije.
Ukaz co vies,
nech mas co chces.
Clovek bezi po luke,
pavuka ma na ruke.
Ci ten clovek ci ten vie,
i think it's time we got something straight
i'm tired of the radio blasting all the songs i hate
and i don't wanna have to listen to the same old station
when i'm working in the kitchen
i'm clocking out, going to the show

cause some songs were meant to find you
i never liked what someone told me to
i never thought i'd eat my words
but lately, i've been getting off on shitty bands you've never heard
my friend sent the link to me
i downloaded their CD
and the best-slash-worst part is its free

can't you see it's a revelation
open music communication
cause some songs were meant to find you
i never liked what someone told me to
how many times must i say these words to you?
until you see what's the matter with an average point of view
just remember what I'm telling you...
find the music that suits you
cause TV isn't always true
the radio edit may not be best for you

My halo slips over my eyes
My nice dress rips and I don't cry
What am I doing here
When I just want to wear
Oh PVC
(It's my favourite plastic)
(Cos its nice and shiny)
(and completely waterproof)
Start again
Start again
A lipstick stain on my new dress
The fabric's scarred and I'm distressed
I take my own advice
Get kitted out in nice
Oh PVC
(It's my favourite plastic)
(Cos its nice and shiny
(and completley waterproof)
Start again
Start again
You've never seen me quite this way
But you'll agree
I'm twice as nice this way
The moral of this little tale
Do what you like and you can't fail
To get in someones way
Oh PVC
(It's my favourite plastic
(Cos its nice and shiny)
(And completely waterproof)
Start again
She's the Queen of the sky.
She's the Queen of the sea.
And she holds out her arms.
And she seduces me.
Yeah she's a plastic Queen.
And she's always so clean.
When she pulled out the noose.
She said I could choose.
She's got green rubber shoes.
And a blue paper flower.
When she lifted her skirt.
She said I have the power.
Yeah she's a plastic Queen.
And she's always so clean.
When she pulled out the noose.
She said I could choose.
You'd better say you love me, or I'll kill us.
I'm just wasting time, looking thru' you.
Said I could choose.
Said I could choose.
Said I could choose.
Said I could choose.
Said I could choose.
Said I could choose.
Yeah she's a plastic Queen.
And she's always so clean.
When she pulled out the noose.
She said I could choose.
Yeah she's a plastic Queen.
And she's always so clean.
When she pulled out the noose.
Plasticine for people, surgery
I'm not aware that you're not there
Plasticine for people, surgery
I'm not aware that you're not there
I Get an even feeling when say I'm interactive
I should think it's bad defined, a better for the hoks
Any kind of consciousness can surely be neglected
A kindergarten infant wins, bother me the most
Tell me where my inner me is selfhurt from an overdone
Exposure, exposure, exposure
It's just because my inner you has me for you and double choose
And taller, and taller, and taller
Now I think it's time to get a ticket for the climax
Fully T.. and PVC's, wired to the bone
Let me be a minute, I was reasonably tired
Took me to the nearest place where I could be stoned
Tell me where my inner me is selfhurt from an overdone
Exposure, exposure, exposure
Just because my inner you has me for you and double choose
And taller, and taller, and taller
Plasticine for people, surgery
I'm not aware that you're not there
Plasticine for people, surgery
I'm not aware that you're not there
I get an even feeling when say I'm interactive
I should think it's bad defined, a better for the hoks
Any kind of consciousness can surely be neglected
A kindergarten infant wins, bother me the most
It dates back from the morning to the night
I don’t want these feelings
These feeling I can’t fight
I never said
That we’d be better off alone
Lights are off
So it seems like no one’s home
We’re having fun doing things they don’t condone
Like showing up with a bottle of wine
With candles lit the mood feels right
The things we do when we’re alone
The kitchen floor when no one’s home
So drop the ego and let her replace
That empty space in you
Cause I’m sleeping with my best friends girlfriend
Don’t leave me now because this isn’t the end
But they’re breaking it off again
Cause everyone want everything tonight
White lies but it matters all the same
Cause whose the victim if there’s no one there to blame
And I can’t sit still
She’s going out tonight and she’s dressed to kill
I’ll break it off
Cause I’ve had enough of this
I’m going to tell him on a need to know basis
He acted like he never knew
He said please say I need this too
Cause I’m sleeping with my best friends girlfriend
Don’t leave me now because this isn’t the end
But they’re breaking it off again
Cause everyone want everything tonight
And I’m sleeping with my best friends girlfriend
Well he knows but we’ll still pretend
That all the time that we’re taking up
Is not breaking up
The feelings we don’t share
She wants out
And I can’t display my feelings
Still hate,
Heinously, I've suffered in existence,
tortured of conformity, spawned from progression,
Ominous vile in rapture to the horde
of miscreation and blank eternal sacrifice.
Open up the gates, release the fuckin plague
Abomination, impure and exiled.
Nobody will comprehend.
The forces divine and condemned.
Refuse to comprehend.
Fight threw the fuckin hate, with no mercy
Pulled by all the hate, You'll be left for dead.
Win the battle and terminate today,
disgusted with all the weak.
Banishment of all the futile and
of all the godless truths,
Terminal illness amongst
the fleet of disgusted guilt.
Disguised in purity erect of malicious states,
Termination directed against the weak.
Turn the tables, blessed in sickness.
I want you dead, burning,
A disease for wasting,
I want to be.
Always never you said, termination fed the grinder,
Just the wasting, nothing you say
Termination still grinding,
Always nothing you say,
Nothing else you say,
Resurrect something instead to kill all thats left.
Embracement of the trinity and of degraded souls,
Everlasting horizons, of the dark,
This is the time when nothings safe,
Don't try and stop me now,
Nothing's safe,
Don't try and stop me.
