This game is based off of the indie game 'Slender' by Mark J. Hadley (AgentParsec). It shares the same gameplay elements as the original - you must collect 8 pages while avoiding the enemy. This is not intended to be a copy - simply a way for people who loved Slender to be able to face their fear on a different map with the same awesome gameplay. There are some differences which will make playing a somewhat unique experience - different AI, new sounds, and a different environment.

Trials Evolution was released on April 18, 2012 on Xbox Live Arcade, by developer Redlynx, a Ubisoft Studio. Featuring a custom game-engine and robust Editor, modes include Single Player and Multiplayer Motocross tracks, as well as Skill Games. Tracks can be played from the included set, and you can download other players' Editor creations, or upload your own, in the all new Track Central. Players can customize their rider and bike in the Garage, and can see how they perform in the Leaderboards. Trials Evolution also includes all new License Tests to make sure that you have the skills and techniques you need to conquer Single Player.

The game is a direct sequel to the first game. Unlike Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 4: The Room, this title was never ported to Xbox. With the release of the Silent Hill HD Collection, which includes Silent Hill 2 and 3, it is now on the Xbox 360. It is also the first game in the series to feature a female lead character and the first to directly continue on from a previous game's central storyline. Seventeen years have passed since the events of the first game, and Heather Mason (the baby whom Alessa Gillespie gave to Harry Mason at the end of the first game) is now a teenager. It is revealed that Harry took Heather into his care to raise as his own daughter. While running an errand for her father at the Central Square Shopping Center, Heather falls asleep inside a burger joint and dreams about Silent Hill where she finds herself wandering through a nightmarish amusement park.
