In this video, J Stephen Roberts takes a look at three primary source accounts of the Battle of Hattin. The sources we will be looking at are Ibn al-Athir, Ernoul the Squire of Balian of Ibelin, and Baha ad-Din. The Battle of Hattin was Saladin's major victory over Guy of Lusignan and the Kingdom of Jerusalem, which made possible Saladin's conquest of Jerusalem.
