The English subjunctive is used to form sentences that do not describe known objective facts. These include statements about one's state of mind, such as opinion, belief, purpose, intention, or desire. The subjunctive mood is also used for statements that are contrary to fact, such as If I were a giraffe, … (subjunctive), as distinguished from I was a giraffe. Subjunctive statements often occur in dependent clauses, such as the subjunctive example in the preceding sentence. It contrasts with the indicative mood, which is used for statements of fact, such as He speaks English.
In Modern English, the subjunctive form of a verb often looks identical to the indicative form, and thus subjunctives are not a very visible grammatical feature of English. For most verbs, the only distinct subjunctive form is found in the third person singular of the present tense, where the subjunctive lacks the -s ending: It is necessary that he see a doctor (contrasted with the indicative he sees). However, the verb be has not only a distinct present subjunctive (be, as in I suggest that he be removed) but also a past subjunctive were (as in If he were rich, …).
"Hips Don't Lie" is a song by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira featuring Haitian rapper Wyclef Jean for the reissue of Shakira's seventh studio album, Oral Fixation, Vol. 2. It was released on February 28, 2006, by Epic Records as the second single from the album. The song was written and produced by Shakira, Jean, Jerry 'Wonder' Duplessis and LaTavia Parker. "Hips Don't Lie" is a salsa and worldbeat song, which heavily incorporates samples from Jean's earlier single "Dance Like This" and "Amores Como el Nuestro" written by Omar Alfanno.
Upon its release, "Hips Don't Lie" received generally favorable reviews from music critics. It received several accolades, including a People's Choice Award, an MTV Latin America Video Music Award, and an MTV Video Music Award. "Hips Don't Lie" reached the number one spot on charts in at least 55 countries including the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, becoming her first number one single in the country. It also broke the record for the most radio plays in a single week and the fastest selling digital download song in the United States. The song was eventually certified Triple platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), where it has sold over 3 million copies. It also topped the charts in Australia, Italy and the United Kingdom. Having sold over 16 million copies (10 million digital downloads and 6 million physical copies) by the turn of the decade, the track became one of the best-selling singles of the 21st century in physical singles and digital downloads combined. It is widely recognized as one of Shakira's signature songs.
Doris Day (born Doris Mary Ann Kappelhoff; April 3, 1922 or 1924) is an American actress, singer, and animal rights activist.
Day began her career as a big band singer in 1939, and is well known for her string of romantic comedies with leading man Rock Hudson including 'Pillow Talk' and 'Lover Come Back' in the early 1960s. Her popularity began to rise after her first hit recording "Sentimental Journey", in 1945. After leaving Les Brown & His Band of Renown to embark on a solo career, Day started her long-lasting partnership with Columbia Records, which remained her only recording label. The contract lasted from 1947 to 1967 and included more than 650 recordings, making Day one of the most popular and acclaimed singers of the 20th century. In 1948, after being persuaded by songwriters Sammy Cahn and Jule Styne and by Al Levy, her agent at the time, she auditioned for film director Michael Curtiz, which led to her being cast as the female lead in Romance on the High Seas.
Over the course of her career, Day appeared in 39 films. She was ranked the biggest box-office star, the only woman appearing on that list in the era, for four years (1960, 1962, 1963 and 1964), ranking in the top 10 for ten years (1951–52, and 1959–66). She became the top-ranking female box-office star of all time and is currently ranked sixth among the top 10 box office performers (male and female), as of 2012. Day received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Pillow Talk, won three Henrietta Awards (World Film Favorite), and received the Los Angeles Film Critics Association's Career Achievement Award. In 1989, she received the Cecil B. DeMille Award for lifetime achievement in motion pictures. She made her last film in 1968.

Doris Day - Que Sera, Sera [lyrics] Genere: Oldies Year: 1956 Album: / ------------------------------ que sera, sera
Seorang gadis kecil bertanya pada ibunya tentang masa depannya. Apakah dia bisa jadi kaya dan ayu? Ataukah dia akan jadi miskin papa? Sang Ibu dengan bijak menjawab : Biarlah masa depan mengalir dengan sendirinya. Tugas manusia hanyalah berusaha untuk meraihnya. Bukan menentukan. Bukan pusing memikirkannya. Biarlah masa depan tetap menjadi masa depan. Nikmati masa sekarang, pasrah pada-Nya tentang masa depan. April 3, 2016 - HAPPY 92nd Birthday Dear Doris!! When the ultra-talented actress/singer Doris Day first recorded the song "Que Sera, Sera - Whatever Will Be, Will Be", she did not have much fondness for the song. After the final notes of Frank DeVol's arrangement of the original 1956 version of "Que Sera" echoed out of the recording studio and into silence - Ms. Day commented in deadpan fashion: "Well, that's the last you'll ever hear of THAT silly song!". You see, Doris looked upon it primarily as a children's song - lightweight - and she did not think it would have lasting appeal. Fate and popular taste begged to differ. The song from Alfred Hitchcock's thriller "The Man Who Knew Too Much" - which made an important plot contribution to the film - also sold millions of records for Dori...

Fare thee well
They've come to take me home
So fare thee well
Leave well enough alone
Go home, sweet home
Love's cruel fate
It's always no one's fault
That day never came
Que sera sera
