Currently, one out of every 100 Americans is behind bars, making the US the country with the highest incarnation rates in the world. Dying Daughter's Health Insurance Cut By Wells Fargo?
"Wells Fargo allegedly fired an employee because his dying daughter needed expensive cancer treatment, according to a lawsuit filed in Palm Beach County Court on Thursday. Wells Fargo fired mortgage consultant Yovany Gonzalez three days before his daughter Mackenzie was scheduled to get cancer surgery in August of 2010, the lawsuit states. According to the suit, the hospital canceled the surgery because Mackenzie no longer was covered by health insurance...".* Ana Kasparian and Cenk Uygur discuss on The Young Turks. *Read more here from Bonnie Kavoussi in The Huffington Post: www.huffingtonpost.com Support The Young Turks by Subscribing bit.ly Like Us on Facebook: www.fb.com Follow Us on Twitter: twitter.com Buy TYT Merch: theyoungturks.spreadshirt.com Find out how to watch The Young Turks on Current by clicking here: www.current.com

Wells Fargo Bank Violated Federal Banking Laws for 4 Years for Kier Property Management
This video establishes that there was no "mistake" or "bank error" involved in 2005, when Wells Fargo Bank illegally opened 2 DBA checking accounts in my name and the name of a building I own, for Kier Property Management, without obtaining any of the required supporting documentation. :::: (This video) :::: To test Federal law and Wells Fargo Bank policy: In 2010, I tried to open the same type of accounts, at the same WFB branch, without providing any of the required documentation, just as Kier Property Management had done in 2005. The Wells Fargo Bank employee seen in this video, refused to open the accounts, stating that her computer wouldn't even let her go any further in the account creation process, without providing the required documentation first. (That apparently wasn't a problem for WFB and Kier Property Management in 2005). In 2005, Wells Fargo knowingly opened the accounts illegally for Kier Property Management, who admits that they did not provide proof of a DBA registration when they opened the accounts, because they never bothered to file one. Wells Fargo allowed the accounts to remain open for 4 years, without ever notifying the account holder [me], and caused a branch of the United States Government to write checks totaling hundreds of thousands of dollars, to a business that didn't legally exist. In MOST financial circles today, that's considered MONEY LAUNDERING. Federal Banking Law states that in order to open a DBA checking account, proof must be ...

Judge Blasts Wells Fargo
Via The Huffington Post: "A federal judge who has fiercely criticized how big banks service home loans is fed up with Wells Fargo. In a scathing opinion issued last week, Elizabeth Magner, a federal bankruptcy judge in the Eastern District of Louisiana, characterized as "highly reprehensible" Wells Fargo's behavior over more than five years of litigation with a single homeowner and ordered the bank to pay the New Orleans man a whopping $3.1 million in punitive damages, one of the biggest fines ever for mortgage servicing misconduct...".* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down. Wells Fargo or Jails Fargo?
Wells Fargo is the fourth largest bank in America and their executives claim that appealing to the Latino community has been a key component in expanding their business. But what many don't know is that the bank is funding the private prison industry as well. Each time an illegal immigrant is caught and detained, Wells Fargo profits. Wells Fargo Bank VP fired for squatting and partying in forclosed homes with her crew
The fourth-largest US bank said in a statement on Monday that it had terminated one employee, senior vice president Cheronda Guyton, who it found had violated its policies. "We deeply regret the activities that have taken place as they do not reflect the conduct we expect of our team members," the bank said in the statement. Wells Fargo, which received $25 billion in government bailout money last October, was criticized earlier this year for planning events at upscale Las Vegas hotels for top mortgage employees. It said in February that it did not plan any more of these "recognition events" this year. It said at the time that such events were part of its culture, and that it believes in rewarding hard-working team members.

Mic Check: Minnesotans confront Wells Fargo CEO John Stumpf about "chains of debt"
Minutes into Wells Fargo Chairman of the Board & CEO John Stumpf's talk at the Carlson School of Management's "First Tuesday" luncheon, a group of about 10 protesters at a table stood up and began yelling, waving a banner that said "Tales of Wells Fargo" decrying the bank's lending policies. Police escorted the group outside, where about 50 union members, students and community activists were staging a demonstration.SEIU Local 284, which co-sponsored the protest, represents school and child care workers. Outside, students, educators, homeowners and labor activists rallied near the University of Minnesota's McNamara Alumni Center to tell Wells Fargo CEO Jon Stumpf to change policies trapping Minnesotans under "chains of debt." "Many in our community and our country rightfully believe that Wells Fargo and the other powerful, dominant banks have done much harm to our economy, and our future and the future of our children. We suffer under staggering debt while the real wages of working families have been stagnant for a generation," said Carol Neiters, Executive Director of SEIU Local 284. Participants in the rally said that they and other community groups had attempted to schedule a meeting with Wells Fargo executives but been rebuffed. They want the bank to discuss proposals for the bank to adopt policies in the public interest including lower interest rates on student loans, underwrite interest and fee free on K-12 public education borrowing, stop home foreclosures ...

Wells Fargo behind for-profit prisons
In America one out of every 100 citizens is behind bars and most of them are minorities. The United States has 5 percent of the world's population but holds one-quarter of the world's prisoners. The prison industrial complex has a vested interest in keeping people locked up. Wells Fargo is one of the companies that is profiting for the practice and pushing for legislation that will maximize their profits. Mr Mortgage Exposes Wells Fargo's Toxic Waste 4/7/08
Visit my new blog... mrmortgage.ml-implode.com Wells Fargo Subprime toxic waste exposed. Do they have to raise capital? Mr Mortgage shows a 2006 Wells rate sheet. This is hard evidence of Wells doing nasty subprime loans for borrowers with scores as low as 500 and 120-day mortgage late payments, which is essentially foreclosure status. They did not sell this directly to consumers, rather used correspondents like New Century, Accredited, Countrywide etc to rebrand the programs and sell them as their own. This is a very common practice but this just proves Wells is dirtier than most. First, because not everyone did subprime. Second, because they lied of course.

Wells Fargo:Lootin and Pollutin in Coal Country
Wells Fargo bank is funding coal companies that use a destructive resource extraction process known as mountaintop removal. Using dangerous explosives, coal companies are blasting the Appalachian Mountains apart, one coal seam at a time. Its 'cheaper' for the coal companies to employee five men, explosives and giant machines and use mountaintop removal mining than it is to use traditional underground mining practices which can take five hundred men and much more time. The motivation here is quick, greedy profit. It is clear that mountaintop removal is not beneficial for the environment and surrounding communities. With an increasing demand for cheap energy, we need to tell our banks to invest our money into renewable energy projects. Contact Wells Fargo today and tell them to commit to social and environmental sustainability TODAY!! go to this link... ga3.org For more information on Wells Fargo's dirty investments visit www.dirtymoney.org and www.ran.org

Wells Fargo auctions off house they don't own and know they don't own
Here in San Jose, the banks auction off between 25 and 100 houses a day at 181 N. Market St.. We gave the auctioneer a copy of the Quit Claim deed that was lawfully recorded the previous day with the Santa Clara County Clerk-Recorder in San Jose, CA. The bank was trying to sell the house in the name of one person, when another person lawfully owned it and had no mortgage with them. The auctioneer called the "trustee" Cal-Western Reconveyance Corp., who had been fired two days prior and therefore had no standing to sell the house, particularly since the Notice of Default and the Notice of Trustee sale had been recinded two days prior. The auctioneer sold the houseat the behest of the fired trustee, to the fired beneficiary, despite no legal standing to sell it. The auctioneer was warned when he was served with the quit claim deed that he was slandering the title on the property and that he was committing a federal crime. He went ahead and conducted the auction of the house, and no one bid. The fired "beneficiary" bank had placed their own illegal bid prior to the opening of the bids, over the phone to the auctioneer, and that was the only bid made or taken.
