On the 9th of June 1991, at the Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio, a normal summer evening took a surreal turn when two fatal freak accidents occurred almost simultaneously. The day would come to be known by fans of the park as “Black Sunday” – a day when three guests lost their lives in two completely separate – and, initially at least, completely inexplicable – incidents.
I tell the true stories behind some of history's greatest disasters... but without sensationalism or disturbing imagery. Fascinating Horror is all about in-depth research, respectful storytelling, and learning what we can from the mistakes of the past. Thrill-seekers will experience a new level of excitement when they visit Kings Island in 2020. Joining the world-class line-up of roller coasters at the park is Orion, one of only seven giga coasters in the world, a class of roller coasters having a height or drop of 300-399 feet.
Themed to the park's new Area 72, the ride features the latest prototype vehicle developed by the Project X initiative. Scientists are in a race against time to develop technology capable of weaving transport vehicles through a coming meteor storm and traveling to a new planet within the Orion constellation. For the program to be successful, it needs volunteers to help with testing.
Riders on Orion will plummet down an exhilarating 300-foot first drop, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills and 5,321 feet of track at speeds up to 91 mph on Kings Island's tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster.
Orion was exclusively designed for Kings Island by Switzerland-based Bolliger & Mabillard, which also designed the park's popular Banshee and Diamondback roller coasters. #Subscribe #KingsIsland #RollerCoasters

Ranging from kiddie, family, and extreme thrill machines, this Cedar Fair park has a great collection to enjoy. Additionally, Kings Island’s claim to fame is that they currently feature the most wooden coaster track of any other amusement park on the planet, with a total of 18,804 feet of track.

Everyone who enjoys the fun and thrills of riding a roller coaster will want to experience Mystic Timbers, voted “Best New Ride” in 2017 by Amusement Today. Themed to an abandoned lumber company, riders experience 16 airtime moments as they weave along 3,265 feet of track through wooded terrain, over water and through a mid-course tunnel at speeds up to 53 mph. The coaster is naturally exciting because of its setting in a densely wooded area. The natural rugged terrain and tunnel ensures a unique and memorable ride experience. Mystic Timbers was custom designed and built for the topography of Kings Island by Great Coasters International, Inc. (GCI) of Sunbury, Pa. The ride’s layout interacts with both the K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad and White Water Canyon attractions during its two-minute ride cycle. If there was another theme park that I could choose as my home park, I might actually settle with Kings Island. I know many would probably want Cedar Point, Six Flags Magic Mountain, or if you’re Chris from Airtime Thrills, Frontier City…
Anyways, I think Kings Island has a lot of great things going for it to make it a great home park. First, is the coaster collection. It may not be the best in the world, but there’s plenty of variety. The food options, entertainment, kids area, and even the adjacent water park all add up to one great park. Well, this video isn’t about whether Kings Island should be my home park, but a review that you can use to help discern if Kings Island is worth a visit or not...But maybe my opening remarks already says that???

Kings Island is a 364-acre (147 ha) amusement park located 24 miles (39 km) northeast of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio. Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, the park first opened in 1972 by the Taft Broadcasting Company. It was part of a larger effort to move and expand Coney Island, a popular resort destination along the banks of the Ohio River that was prone to frequent flooding. Early in its history, Kings Island has appeared in popular sitcoms and received widespread recognition for its record-breaking attractions and events. Others, such as The Beast and Banshee, have set several world records, some of which remain standing. The largest investment in park history is Orion, a giga coaster opened in July 2020. The park has also suffered through times of negative publicity, particularly surrounding the early demise of roller coasters The Bat and Son of Beast.
Kings Island is divided into several themed sections and operates seasonally from early spring through the fall, partially reopening for Winterfest during the holiday season. In 2017, Kings Island was the second-most visited seasonal amusement park in the United States behind Cedar Point, with an estimated 3.47 million visitors. It was third overall for seasonal attendance in North America, which was led by Canada's Wonderland. In addition, Kings Island has won Golden Ticket Awards from Amusement Today for having the "Best Kids' Area" in the world for eighteen consecutive years (2001–2018) as well as “Best New Ride” in 2017 for Mystic Timbers.

Kings Island released the first POV Video of Orion, its newest coaster.
Orion will plunge riders down a 300-foot drop before sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills at speeds of up to 91 mph. It is Kings Island’s tallest, fastest and longest steel coaster.
The park will open for season passholders with a reservation on Thursday, July 2.

Thunder Alley
Thunder Alley is an American sitcom which aired from March 9, 1994 to July 4, 1995 on ABC.
Premise
The show stars Edward Asner as retired race-car driver Gil Jones. The unaired original pilot episode featured Felicity Huffman in the role of Bobbi Turner, Gil's daughter. When ABC picked up the series, Huffman was replaced with actress Diane Venora. The pilot was reshot and Venora played the role for eight episodes before she was replaced by Robin Riker, who played the role for the remainder of the series. The series also starred future Academy Award-nominee Haley Joel Osment.
The story involved Bobbi returning after a divorce to live with her father. In tow were her three children: Claudine (Kelly Vint); Jenny (Lindsay Felton); and Harry (Haley Joel Osment). The new family quintet lived in Gil's home above Thunder Alley, the specialty racing garage Gil operated. Rounding out the cast was Gil's dim-witted mechanic sidekick, Leland DuParte (Jim Beaver). In the show's second season, Andrew Keegan joined the cast as Jack Kelly, a local boy who helped around the garage.

Thunder Alley (film)
Thunder Alley is a 1967 film about auto racing, directed by Richard Rush and starring Annette Funicello and Fabian Forte. It was released by American International Pictures.
Plot
A race car driver, Tommy Callahan, retires after a blackout causes the death of another driver on the motorway. After the accident, he begins working at a Pete Madsen's "Thrill Circus" as a stunt driver. There he meets the proprietor's daughter, Francie, who also drives there, and her boyfriend Eddie Sands.
Bored by his new job, Tommy begins training Eddie to be a professional. Eddie picks it up quickly, winning his first race. This leads to Tommy's gold-digging ex-girlfriend Annie Blaine scheming to steal the hot young driver away from Francie.
Despite their quarreling, plus Francie's concern over his previous blackouts, she and Tommy are paired up during a 500-mile race. On the track, Tommy feels another blackout coming on, but manages to hang on. He comes to realize that the fainting spells are a psychological reaction to a childhood trauma.

On the 9th of June 1991, at the Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio, a normal summer evening took a surreal turn when two fatal freak accidents occurred almost simultaneously. The day would come to be known by fans of the park as “Black Sunday” – a day when three guests lost their lives in two completely separate – and, initially at least, completely inexplicable – incidents.
I tell the true stories behind some of history's greatest disasters... but without sensationalism or disturbing imagery. Thrill-seekers will experience a new level of excitement when they visit Kings Island in 2020. Joining the world-class line-up of roller coasters at the park is Orion, one of only seven giga coasters in the world, a class of roller coasters having a height or drop of 300-399 feet.
Themed to the park's new Area 72, the ride features the latest prototype vehicle developed by the Project X initiative. Scientists are in a race against time to develop technology capable of weaving transport vehicles through a coming meteor storm and traveling to a new planet within the Orion constellation. For the program to be successful, it needs volunteers to help with testing.
Riders on Orion will plummet down an exhilarating 300-foot first drop, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills and 5,321 feet of track at speeds up to 91 mph on Kings Island's tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster.

Themed to an abandoned lumber company, riders experience 16 airtime moments as they weave along 3,265 feet of track through wooded terrain, over water and through a mid-course tunnel at speeds up to 53 mph. The coaster is naturally exciting because of its setting in a densely wooded area. The natural rugged terrain and tunnel ensures a unique and memorable ride experience. Mystic Timbers was custom designed and built for the topography of Kings Island by Great Coasters International, Inc. (GCI) of Sunbury, Pa. The ride’s layout interacts with both the K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad and White Water Canyon attractions during its two-minute ride cycle. As the train climbs the 109-foot lift hill, a voice is heard saying, “Hey! Hey! I see up there! What do you think you’re doing? This is security. Seriously, guys, you need to take that truck and go home to your video games. This place is not safe. Whatever you do, don’t go in the shed!” And then an adventure into the unknown begins. #KingsIsland #MysticTimbers #rollercoasters

Anyways, I think Kings Island has a lot of great things going for it to make it a great home park. First, is the coaster collection. It may not be the best in the world, but there’s plenty of variety. The food options, entertainment, kids area, and even the adjacent water park all add up to one great park. Well, this video isn’t about whether Kings Island should be my home park, but a review that you can use to help discern if Kings Island is worth a visit or not...But maybe my opening remarks already says that???

Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, the park first opened in 1972 by the Taft Broadcasting Company. It was part of a larger effort to move and expand Coney Island, a popular resort destination along the banks of the Ohio River that was prone to frequent flooding. After more than $300 million in capital investments, the park features over 100 attractions including fourteen roller coasters and a 33-acre (13 ha) water park.
Early in its history, Kings Island has appeared in popular sitcoms and received widespread recognition for its record-breaking attractions and events. One of the park's most well-known attractions, The Racer, is often credited with reviving worldwide interest in roller coasters during the 1970s. Others, such as The Beast and Banshee, have set several world records, some of which remain standing. The largest investment in park history is Orion, a giga coaster opened in July 2020. The park has also suffered through times of negative publicity, particularly surrounding the early demise of roller coasters The Bat and Son of Beast.
Kings Island is divided into several themed sections and operates seasonally from early spring through the fall, partially reopening for Winterfest during the holiday season. In 2017, Kings Island was the second-most visited seasonal amusement park in the United States behind Cedar Point, with an estimated 3.47 million visitors. It was third overall for seasonal attendance in North America, which was led by Canada's Wonderland. In addition, Kings Island has won Golden Ticket Awards from Amusement Today for having the "Best Kids' Area" in the world for eighteen consecutive years (2001–2018) as well as “Best New Ride” in 2017 for Mystic Timbers.

Orion will plunge riders down a 300-foot drop before sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills at speeds of up to 91 mph. It is Kings Island’s tallest, fastest and longest steel coaster.
The park will open for season passholders with a reservation on Thursday, July 2.

On the 9th of June 1991, at the Kings Island amusement park in Mason, Ohio, a normal summer evening took a surreal turn when two fatal freak accidents occurred almost simultaneously. The day would come to be known by fans of the park as “Black Sunday” – a day when three guests lost their lives in two completely separate – and, initially at least, completely inexplicable – incidents.
I tell the true stories behind some of history's greatest disasters... but without sensationalism or disturbing imagery. Thrill-seekers will experience a new level of excitement when they visit Kings Island in 2020. Joining the world-class line-up of roller coasters at the park is Orion, one of only seven giga coasters in the world, a class of roller coasters having a height or drop of 300-399 feet.
Themed to the park's new Area 72, the ride features the latest prototype vehicle developed by the Project X initiative. Scientists are in a race against time to develop technology capable of weaving transport vehicles through a coming meteor storm and traveling to a new planet within the Orion constellation. For the program to be successful, it needs volunteers to help with testing.
Riders on Orion will plummet down an exhilarating 300-foot first drop, sending them on a high-speed journey over seven more hills and 5,321 feet of track at speeds up to 91 mph on Kings Island's tallest, fastest and longest steel roller coaster.

With the addition of Orion to the park’s lineup, @Kings Island now has 14 roller coasters to choose from. Ranging from kiddie, family, and extreme thrill machines, this Cedar Fair park has a great collection to enjoy. Additionally, Kings Island’s claim to fame is that they currently feature the most wooden coaster track of any other amusement park on the planet, with a total of 18,804 feet of track.

Everyone who enjoys the fun and thrills of riding a roller coaster will want to experience Mystic Timbers, voted “Best New Ride” in 2017 by Amusement Today. Themed to an abandoned lumber company, riders experience 16 airtime moments as they weave along 3,265 feet of track through wooded terrain, over water and through a mid-course tunnel at speeds up to 53 mph. The coaster is naturally exciting because of its setting in a densely wooded area. The natural rugged terrain and tunnel ensures a unique and memorable ride experience. Mystic Timbers was custom designed and built for the topography of Kings Island by Great Coasters International, Inc. (GCI) of Sunbury, Pa. The ride’s layout interacts with both the K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad and White Water Canyon attractions during its two-minute ride cycle. As the train climbs the 109-foot lift hill, a voice is heard saying, “Hey! Hey! I see up there! What do you think you’re doing? This is security. Seriously, guys, you need to take that truck and go home to your video games. This place is not safe. If there was another theme park that I could choose as my home park, I might actually settle with Kings Island. I know many would probably want Cedar Point, Six Flags Magic Mountain, or if you’re Chris from Airtime Thrills, Frontier City…
Anyways, I think Kings Island has a lot of great things going for it to make it a great home park. First, is the coaster collection. It may not be the best in the world, but there’s plenty of variety. The food options, entertainment, kids area, and even the adjacent water park all add up to one great park. Well, this video isn’t about whether Kings Island should be my home park, but a review that you can use to help discern if Kings Island is worth a visit or not...But maybe my opening remarks already says that???

Kings Island is a 364-acre (147 ha) amusement park located 24 miles (39 km) northeast of Cincinnati in Mason, Ohio. Owned and operated by Cedar Fair, the park first opened in 1972 by the Taft Broadcasting Company. It was part of a larger effort to move and expand Coney Island, a popular resort destination along the banks of the Ohio River that was prone to frequent flooding. After more than $300 million in capital investments, the park features over 100 attractions including fourteen roller coasters and a 33-acre (13 ha) water park.
Early in its history, Kings Island has appeared in popular sitcoms and received widespread recognition for its record-breaking attractions and events. One of the park's most well-known attractions, The Racer, is often credited with reviving worldwide interest in roller coasters during the 1970s. Others, such as The Beast and Banshee, have set several world records, some of which remain standing. The largest investment in park history is Orion, a giga coaster opened in July 2020. The park has also suffered through times of negative publicity, particularly surrounding the early demise of roller coasters The Bat and Son of Beast.
Kings Island is divided into several themed sections and operates seasonally from early spring through the fall, partially reopening for Winterfest during the holiday season. In 2017, Kings Island was the second-most visited seasonal amusement park in the United States behind Cedar Point, with an estimated 3.47 million visitors. It was third overall for seasonal attendance in North America, which was led by Canada's Wonderland. In addition, Kings Island has won Golden Ticket Awards from Amusement Today for having the "Best Kids' Area" in the world for eighteen consecutive years (2001–2018) as well as “Best New Ride” in 2017 for Mystic Timbers.

Thunder Alley
Thunder Alley is an American sitcom which aired from March 9, 1994 to July 4, 1995 on ABC.
Premise
The show stars Edward Asner as retired race-car driver Gil Jones. The unaired original pilot episode featured Felicity Huffman in the role of Bobbi Turner, Gil's daughter. When ABC picked up the series, Huffman was replaced with actress Diane Venora. The pilot was reshot and Venora played the role for eight episodes before she was replaced by Robin Riker, who played the role for the remainder of the series. The series also starred future Academy Award-nominee Haley Joel Osment.
The story involved Bobbi returning after a divorce to live with her father. In tow were her three children: Claudine (Kelly Vint); Jenny (Lindsay Felton); and Harry (Haley Joel Osment). The new family quintet lived in Gil's home above Thunder Alley, the specialty racing garage Gil operated. Rounding out the cast was Gil's dim-witted mechanic sidekick, Leland DuParte (Jim Beaver). In the show's second season, Andrew Keegan joined the cast as Jack Kelly, a local boy who helped around the garage.
