Wondrous Kolasib Wonderful People - Mizoram, NE India
Kolasib is a wondrous city built high on the side of the mountain, in Mizoram, a Northeastern State of India, between Bangladesh and Myanmar (Burma). Its people are wonderful, peaceful and happy in their family and community life together. It is amazing how they build their homes perched on timber columns on the steep mountainside. They speak the Mizo language as you will hear in this video. They eat a wholesome mix of foods, which are very tasty, as you will see. There are many christians in Kolasib, who look forward to Jesus Christ's return and the setting up of God's Government on this Earth.

Spring Festival of Mizoram - Chapcharkut 2012
Chapcharkut celebration 2012 : Musical extravanganza from north-east India's Mizoram state.... Chapchar Kut, also known as the spring festival of Mizoram, India is the most popular and major festival of the Mizos and perhaps the biggest and most successful outdoor event in Mizoram. It is celebrated annually in Aizawl, the capital city and hub of Mizoram. The tradition of celebrating Chapchar Kut evolved between 1450 -1600 AD, also making it the oldest festival of Mizoram. Chapchar Kut is celebrated in the month of March. This year it was held at the Assam Rifles ground in Aizawl on the 2nd of March, 2012. This Chapchar Kut kicks off with the arrival of guests. The VIP's include a list of cabinet ministers,Chief Minister Lalthanhawla, Vako Purushothaman, the Governor of Mizoram and the visiting Director of the North East Zone Cultural Society (NEZCC), Som Kamei. The programme starts with the Bawhhla or Hlado - a kind of victory chant honouring the forefathers, followed by an Opening song by the Central Young Mizo Association. The main highlight of Chapchar Kut is the famous Bamboo dance, locally known as 'Cheraw' - the traditional mass bamboo dance of Mizoram, without which the festival would be incomplete. It is worth citing that Mizoram at the moment holds the World Record for mass bamboo dance. The list of performers who took the stage by storm includes Mizo rock stars and pop like Judith Lalremruati, Lalthuthaa, Elizabeth Zodinpuii, X Strings, Dream Hunter and ...

Giant earthworm in Mizoram!
Ever seen an earthworm resembling a snake in shape, size and as big as this one? Check this out! Here's one huge earthworm found crawling on a village road in Mizoram. Villagers seem to clap to make it move, but I suspect they are not aware that an earthwork doesn't exactly have hearing, but senses movements and vibrations more... According to : en.wikipedia.org Earthworm is the common name for the largest members of Oligochaeta (which is either a class or subclass depending on the author) in the phylum Annelida. In classical systems they were placed in the order Opisthopora, on the basis of the male pores opening posterior to the female pores, even though the internal male segments are anterior to the female. Theoretical cladistic studies have placed them instead in the suborder Lumbricina of the order Haplotaxida, but this may again soon change. Folk names for the earthworm include "dew-worm", "Rainworm", "night crawler" and "angleworm" (due to its use as fishing bait). Earthworms are also called megadriles (or big worms), as opposed to the microdriles (or small worms) in the families Tubificidae, Lumbriculidae, and Enchytraeidae, among others. The megadriles are characterized by having a distinct clitellum (which is much more obvious than the single-layered one of the microdriles) and a vascular system with true capillaries. Mizoram is one of the Seven Sister States in North Eastern India, sharing borders with the states of Tripura, Assam, Manipur and with the ...

A glorious morning in crowded Aizawl, Mizoram
A glorious morning in crowded Aizawl, Mizoram, India. One can barely imagine that this concretized vertical state capital occupying every square inch of hillside space is that of Aizawl! Some of the buildings appear to be seven and eight storeys tall... One wonders if a proper earthquake analysis has been done in the region prior to allowing such unbridled construction! See the big cross on the hill-top and the sound of buses screeching to a halt at the bus-stop. The capital state as well as the largest city of Mizoram is Aizawl; the center of all important government offices, state assembly house and civil secretariat.Aizawl is also the main religious and cultural centers of the Mizos, the ethnic tribe of Mizoram. The city lies just north of the Tropic of cancer and is located at 3715 feet from the sea level. A birds eye view of the city will sure catch the attention of the beholder. Some of the notable places once you get to Aizawl city are Mizoram State Museum, Durtlang Hills, Mini Zoo, Bara Bazar, Luangmual Handicarfts Centre and Berawtlang Tourist Complex. Apart from these tourist sites, the nearby tourist attractions are Bung, Paikhai, Tamdil lake, Dampa Wildlife Sanctuary, Kolasib, Vantawng waterfalls, Champhai, Phawngpui, Saiha and Lunglei. courtesy: mizoram.nic.in Thisfootage is part of the professionally-shot broadcast stock footage archive of Wilderness Films India Ltd., the largest collection of imagery from South Asia. Busy streets of Aizawl, Mizoram
Seen here is a local market, people and busy streets of Aizawl, Mizoram. Several cotton candy sellers mill along the road, providing some colour, while a gaggle of nurses walk by, heading to their hospital for duty. Maruti and Hyundai cars, Maruti vans, Alto cars and Tata Sumo non-SUV SUV's shuffle for street space on the crowded bazaar road. Motorcycles and trucks complete the picture! www.facebook.com/radionrt www.radionrt.co.cc ::::::Lyrics:::: Staring into the world what do you see? Life seems so cold it's hard This world is weeping As far as the eye can see - 'Ocean of Tears' No light to shine on earth Something's wrong, so wrong Deadly war breaks out we're dying Nation breaks down we're crying Blood of innocents flowing why Oh! Why? Millions of soldiers dying Leaving their family crying This world breaks down to pieces why Oh! Why? Save me. Here I am Lord, I'm Lying Helpless Save me, Here I'm Down Lord I'm Calling Out Your Name Deadly war breaks out we're dying Nation breaks down we're crying Blood of innocents flowing why Oh! Why? Millions of soldiers dying Leaving their family crying This world breaks down to pieces why Oh! Why? Here I am waiting for you Lord Now I'm in fear to stand alone
