It served as the country's capital during the First Dynasty (12th Century) and remains home to the University of Coimbra, the oldest academic institution in the Portuguese-speaking world and one of the oldest in Europe. As many as 15 Limburg cycling municipalities are involved in some way or other in the UCI Road World Championships. The finish of the road races is located just beyond the summit of Cauberg Hill in Valkenburg. The start of the time trials and road races will involve the following municipalities: Sittard-Geleen, Eijsden-Margraten, Landgraaf, Heerlen and Maastricht. The UCI Road World Championships will last eight days, two times longer than customary. By spreading the World Championships over a longer period, the UCI and the Limburg Region wish to focus greater attention on recreational sport and young people. Partly thanks to the fantastic cooperation, the World Championships is giving the entire region a sense of pride. That cooperation is also resulting in varied and challenging courses.

À administração municipal, policia militar e mídia se associam na tarefa de criminalizar o artista de rua, artesãos nômades portadores de um patrimônio cultural brasileiro que deriva da resignificação do movimento hippie das décadas de 60 e 70. Uma cultura com mais de 40 anos.
Mas quem criminaliza o estado?
Com expressões próprias na arte, na música e no estilo de vida, os artesãos são perseguidos, saqueados em seus bens pessoais e presos por desacato ao exercer a legitima desobediência civil.

For more than twenty years, a leaky pipe on 33rd Street beneath the Hell Gate Bridge viaduct approach submerged more than a hundred square feet of heavily-trafficked sidewalk under a festering cesspool of standing water. Astoria Scum River, as it was called, stretched the entire width of the sidewalk, and as winter approached, the river iced over and became particularly hazardous to cross.
Astoria Scum River Bridge was constructed to offer Astorians an opportunity to safely cross this hazard. The unauthorized bridge was a gift to the pedestrians of Astoria in the absence of successful municipal efforts to ameliorate the problem.
The bridge was made at zero cost entirely from recycled materials: an old work bench found on the curb, rescued screws from a disassembled desk, and a metal plate from an expired electrical component. It was installed and dedicated on December 30th, 2009.
On January 25th, 2010, Astoria Scum River Bridge was the subject of a commendation from the office of NYC Council Member Peter F. Vallone, Jr., accompanied by a pledge to work with Amtrak to re-route Astoria Scum River off the sidewalk.
Two days later, Amtrak workers began construction work. Astoria Scum River was quickly routed off the sidewalk, and within a couple months, custom-made grates were installed to complete the project. The bridge, no longer needed, was de-installed on March 20th, 2010 and returned to the curb whence it came.

Obrenovac (Обреновац) is a town and municipality located in Serbia at 44.66° North, 20.21° East. Its name stems from last name "Obrenović" which in turn stems from name "Obren" in Serbian language. In 2003 the municipality has total population of 75949. Obrenovac is one of Belgrade's 17 municipalities. Obrenovac is situated 30km south-west of Belgrade near bends of the river Sava to the north. The river Kolubara flows to the east of the town on its way to join the Sava. There is a coal-fired power station on the outskirts of the town; its chimney is widely visible as the surrounding area is generally flat. There is a regular food market in the centre of the town. The market for other goods is (as of August 2006) to the south of the town on the Valjevo road. The most famous football club from Obrenovac is FK Radnički Obrenovac; its stadium is beside the Belgrade road. Some of the housing areas in the town are Topolice, Rojkovac, Dudovi and Stočnjak. The oldest school in the town is found next to Topolice. It carries the name of Jovan Popović. The school was built by Miloš Obrenović.
