The River Hodder is a river in Lancashire, England. The river is a County Biological Heritage Site.

It rises on White Hill and flows for approximately 23 miles to the River Ribble, of which it is the largest tributary. The confluence of the rivers is an impressive^{[peacock term]} sight, particularly when both are in spate.

The Hodder drains much of the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and all but the last mile of its course is through this scenic area.

The upper reaches of the river feed the large Stocks Reservoir, which provides much of^[quantify] Lancashire's water supply. After exiting the reservoir, the Hodder continues in a general southward direction. It collects many tributaries from the valleys of Bowland and, lower down, parts of the Ribble Valley. Most notable among the feeders of the Hodder are Croasdale Brook, Easington Brook, the River Dunsop, Langden Brook and the River Loud.

Much of the land in the Hodder Valley further to the north is owned by the Crown as Duke of Lancaster, whilst further down, farming land on the Stonyhurst Estate is owned by Stonyhurst College and the Jesuits^{[citation needed]}. The river runs close to the College and passes adjacent to the former preparatory school, Hodder Place. The river lends its name to the pre-preparatory department at Stonyhurst, "Hodder House" and also years three to five known collectively as "Hodder Playroom".

Patricia Ann Regan (5 September 1954 – 1 June 2008) was a British anti-gun activist and campaigner. Regan became an activist after the murder of her son, Danny in 2002. Danny had become involved in drugs and was most likely the victim of a dealing dispute. She joined Mothers Against Violence after his death. During her time with the group she visited schools and gave talks about the dangers and consequences of getting involved in crime and carrying weapons. She also took part in a march with over 2000 other activists.

Regan was stabbed to death on 1 June 2008 in her maisonette, located at Hyde Park, Leeds. Both fellow campaigners and friends paid tribute to Regan after her death. Regan's grandson, Rakeim Regan, has admitted to the killing.

Kane Warren Hodder (born April 8, 1955) is an American actor, stuntman and author. He is best known for his portrayal of Jason Voorhees in four films from the Friday the 13th film series (parts VII through X). He is also known for his role as Victor Crowley in Hatchet.

Kane Hodder is the first actor to portray Jason Voorhees more than once, in a total of four movies. He has also portrayed horror icons Leatherface in the stunts of the 1990 film Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III, and a glove hinted to be Freddy Krueger's pulling Jason's mask to hell in Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday. He also appeared in an episode of The Arsenio Hall Show to promote Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan, in costume as Jason.

Although he offered to reprise his role as Jason Voorhees in the 2003 film Freddy vs. Jason, director Ronny Yu replaced Hodder with 6'5½" Canadian stunt man Ken Kirzinger. The switch created controversy among fans of the series and has been credited to several rumors, including Kirzinger's location in Canada, and his height compared to Robert Englund, the actor who portrayed Freddy Krueger. Though Hodder still expresses resentment over not being chosen, he is still good friends with Ken Kirzinger.
