The Life of King James VI & I: the Solomon of Great Britain
Truly, 10 minutes could not show the Godliness and impact of King James. Many textbooks and historians promulgate lies about King James to depict him as uncouth, immoral, unqualified, etc. An honest study of his life, however, shows that nothing could be further from the truth. See some of the whispers and the truth for yourself: www.jesus-is-lord.com For more information on King James, there is a lot of documented information about His Magesty put in historical context at the following link: www.jesus-is-lord.com A variety of sources were used to compile quotes for this video. Many of the facts told here were not from secondhand sources, but taken directly from James' own writings, as recorded in his Workes.

King James I and VI
King James VI and I of Scotland and England (1566-1625) His reign changed history. Music is from The Island, 'My Name Is Lincoln' by Steve Jablonsky, was also used in the making of ELIZABETH: THE GOLDEN AGE. JAMES I (1566-1625), king of Scotland (as James VI) from 1567 to 1625 and first Stuart king of England from 1603 to 1625, who styled himself "king of Great Britain." He was the first monarch of the House of Stewart (or Stuart) and succeeded Queen Elizabeth I, the last monarch of the House of Tudor. James was the son of Mary, Queen of Scots, and Henry Stewart, Duke of Albany (known as Lord Dunley). James became the king of Scotland at age one (1567), when his mother was forced to abdicate the throne, and finally assumed real power himself in 1583. As a young king he survived several assassination attempts and strengthened the power of the crown over Parliament. He allied himself with England's Elizabeth (making only a token objection when she executed his mother), and when the childless queen died, her throne went to James. (He was her distant cousin as the great-grandson of Margaret Tudor, elder sister of England's Henry VIII, the father of Elizabeth.) In 1611 he dissolved Parliament and, excepting what was called the Addled Parliament (1614), ruled without one until 1621. Raised a Protestant in Scotland, James angered Puritans with his support of the Anglican Church, and he frustrated both Catholics and Protestants with inconsistent policies. The colonization of ...

King James I of Britain
King James VI of Scotland and I of England was the son of the tragic Mary Queen of Scots and Lord Darnley. In 1567 he became King of Scots, being taken from his mother and raised a Protestant. Upon the death of Queen Elizabeth I he became King of England in 1603. His reign is remembered for his emphasis on the Divine Right of Kings, the founding of the first English colony in what became the United States, the authorized English translation of the Bible and his effort to have bishops in Scotland. Known for being very familiar, rather crude but also well read and intelligent. Although he was at times ridiculed, especially early on in his arrival in England, he came to be a very popular monarch for the relative peace and prosperity enjoyed throughout his reign. He died in 1625 known as "Britain's Solomon".

Baby Names - Charles: Names for Boys
Charles is the kind of solid, old-fashioned boys name that's making a huge comeback right now (did it even go away, really?). Providing a few different name choices - Charles, Charlie, or Chuck - it's a great, versatile name. What does Charles mean? Where did the name Charles originate? Who are some famous people named Charles? Can Charles be a nickname for any other names? Subscribe: www.youtube.com Baby Names is the first online video library Baby Book. Baby Names discusses the origins, meanings, and alternative spellings of common and unique baby names for girls and boys. TRANSCRIPT: [Intro] (Male Host) Charles is a classic boy's name, that, from German, is translated to mean Free Man. (Female Host) An early owner of the name was Frankish king and Holy Roman Emperor, Charles the Great. (Male) It first came to Britain with Mary Queen of Scots, who delivered it from France and gave the name to her only son, James Charles Stuart, who became King James the Sixth of Scotland and King James One of England. (Female Host) That's pretty incredible. What's more is that the name exists in royalty today. Prince Charles is currently the heir to the throne of England. (Male) Over the centuries, the name Charles has developed royal connotations, despite the allusion of its meaning to an ordinary free man. (Female Host) Charles has almost always been in the top 100 baby names for boys. (Male) That's almost hard to believe! (Female Host) I know, but with so many connections to royalty ...

James Randi exposes James Hydrick
Today James Randi still offers a $1 million prize to anyone who can prove they engage in paranormal activity, the prize used to be $10000. Over the years James Randi has seen hundreds and hundreds of entrants, and for some astonishing reason absolutely none of the people can perform their paranormal acts under controlled conditions that take cheating out of the equation, hmmmm I wonder why. Time and time again the frauds(I mean psychics) have to come up with lame excuses as to why their con (I mean powers) won't work in a test. Here you see James Hydrick perform his "miracle" and 10 minutes later fail at the same miracle when cheating is taken out of the equation.

OK SO I AM SUCH AN IDIOT ITS BY ETTA JAMES NOT ELLA FITZGERALD SORRY!!! Song: At Last by Etta James Lyrics: At last my love has come along My lonely days are over And life is like a song At last the skies above are blue And my heart was wrapped up in clover The night I looked at you I found a dream that I can speak to A dream that I could call my own I found a thrill to press my cheek to A thrill that I have never known You smiled, and then the spell was cast And here we are in heaven And you are mine at last

The Inaugural Henry Cole Lecture: Sir Christopher Frayling, 30 October 2008
The inaugural Henry Cole Lecture, held at the V&A; Museum in London on 30 October 2008. The purpose of the lecture is to celebrate the legacy of the Museum’s founding director, and explore its implications for museums, culture and society today.
The lecture, entitled 'We Must Have Steam: Get Cole! Henry Cole, the Chamber of Horrors, and the Educational Role of the Museum' was delivered by Professor Sir Christopher Frayling. He presented new research on the “chamber of horrors” (a contemporary nickname for one of the V&A;'s earliest galleries, 'Decorations on False Principles', that opened in 1852) and the myths and realities of its reception, then opened up a wider debate on design education and museums from the nineteenth century to the present day.
Transcript:
Mark Jones: The annual Henry Cole lecture has been initiated to celebrate Henry Cole's legacy and to explore the contribution that culture can make to education and society today. It has also been launched to celebrate the opening of the Sackler Centre for arts education, including the Hochhauser Auditorium in which we sit tonight. There could be no one better than Professor Sir Christopher Frayling to give the inaugural Henry Cole Lecture. Christopher is a rare being: an intellectual who is a great communicator; a theorist who has a firm grip on the practical realities of life: a writer who truly and instinctively understands the words of making design and visual communication. As an enormously successful and respected Rector of the Royal College of Art, as Chairman of the Arts Council, and as a member and chair of boards too numerous to mention - but not forgetting the Royal Mint Advisory Committee which has recently been responsible for redesigning the coinage (personal interest) and as by far the longest-serving Trustee of the V&A;, he brings together culture, education and public service in a way which Henry Cole would have approved and admired. So it's more than fitting that he should be giving this first Henry Cole Lecture, 'We Must Have Steam: Get Cole! Henry Cole, the Chamber of Horrors, and the Educational Role of the Museum'.
CHRISTOPHER FRAYLING:
Thank you very much indeed Mark and thank you very much for inviting me to give this first Henry Cole Lecture. Just how much of an honour it is for me will I hope become clear as the lecture progresses.
Mark, Chairpeople, ladies and gentlemen:
Hidden away in the garden of the South Kensington Museum - now the Madejski Garden of the V&A; - there is a small and easily overlooked commemorative plaque that doesn't have a museum number. It reads: 'In Memory of Jim Died 1879 Aged 15 Years, Faithful Dog of Sir Henry Cole of this Museum'. Jim had in fact died on 30 January 1879. He was with Henry Cole in his heyday, as the king of South Kensington - its museums and colleges - and saw him through to retirement from the public service and beyond. And next to this inscription there's another one dedicated to Jim's successor, Tycho, and dated 1885. The dogs are actually buried in the garden. Now we know from Henry Cole's diary that between 1864 and 1879 Jim, who was a cairn terrier, was often to be seen in public at his master's side. In 1864 they were together inspecting the new memorial to the Great Exhibition of 1851 just behind the Albert Hall - a statue of Prince Albert by Joseph Durham on a lofty plinth covered in statistics about the income, expenditure and visitor numbers to the Great Exhibition: 6,039,195 to be exact. Cole had been a tireless champion of Prince Albert and according to the Princess Royal (later Empress of Prussia) there was a family saying in Buckingham Palace at the time, invented by Albert himself, that when things needed doing 'when we want steam we must get Cole'. We may therefore assume that when looking at the memorial, Cole was interested in the inscription, the statistics and the likeness of Prince Albert, while Jim was more interested in the possibilities of the plinth. In early 1866 - these are five studies of Jim, an etching by Henry Cole himself of 1864. In early 1866, first thing in the morning, soon after the workmen's bell had rung, Henry and Jim would set forth together from Cole's newly constructed official residence in the Museum (where he moved in July 1863) to tour the building sites of South Kensington - a name which was first invented by Cole when he re-named the museum The South Kensington Museum to describe the new developments happening around Brompton Church. According to 'The Builder' magazine, these two well-known figures would 'be seen clambering over bricks, mortar and girders up ladders and about scaffolding'. Several buildings in the South Kensington Renaissance Revival style were springing up all around them: The Natural History Museum, The College of Science, the extension to this Museum. And on the morning the Bethnal Green Museum opened - 24 June 1872 - Jim showed a healthy distaste for his master's well-known predilection for pomp and

Sacred Marriage 3: Becoming a God-Centered Spouse
Introduce Sermon with Video of Couple running to each other.
Marriage Was Designed By God To Please Him
God uses our marriage and spouse to conform us to the likeness of Jesus Christ
God uses our marriage to energize and give purpose to our lives and ministry
Marriage Is Two Stumbling Sinners Becoming Holy
Marriage Is Two Stumbling Sinners Falling Toward God
Psalms 94:18 (NCV) I said, "I am about to fall," but, Lord, your love kept me safe.
Proverbs 30:18-19 (NCV) "There are three things that are too hard for me, really four I don't understand: the way an eagle flies in the sky, the way a snake slides over a rock, the way a ship sails on the sea, and the way a man and a woman fall in love.
Helen Rowland states: “When a girl marries, she exchanges the attentions of all the other men she knew for the inattention of just one man.”
I remember the first time I ever laid eyes on Lydia. I was in charge of a freshman reception and was chatting with the incoming freshmen. It was outside, late August, and I was naturally checking out the incoming girls. I turned around and noticed this shy gal with the sweetest smile and expression. I went over to talk with her and her friends, but there was just something about her that grabbed my heart. She had the sweetest spirit of any girl I had ever met.
Well, it wasn’t but a couple months and we were engaged, and marriage came within nine months of our meeting. (Just a coincidence)
We were flying back from our honeymoon and this guy next to me asked if my trip was business or pleasure. I said pleasure, I’m on my honeymoon. He looked at me, mystified, and said, where’s your wife? I said, a couple rows back, cuz they couldn’t get our seats together. We were still at the gate and he said, I’ll be happy to change seats. I said, “Naw, that’s ok, we’ve been together all week”
Hopefully you can remember those days when you excitedly ran to meet your future wife or husband. You may have even met them at the door wrapped in Saran Wrap, or with a sexy nightie. But soon those days melt away to kids and diapers and headaches. If you’re lucky the kids still come to the door to excitedly greet you. But after they get older, hopefully your dog comes and greets you, wagging his tale. But once he gets too old, you are pretty much on your own.
Studies show that married couples spend an average of just 27 minutes a week actively communicating.
I’m not talking about, Honey, what do you want for dinner? You respond “Ugh” They say OK. That doesn’t count.
These same studies show that most couples talk the most the year before a divorce.
Most of us fall in love, and if we are not careful, we let trials, selfishness, neglect, anger, problems lead us to fall out of love.
This morning, we need to see how it’s ok to stumble, it’s ok to fight, it ok to have struggles in your marriage, as long as you are falling the right way. Falls are inevitable, but we can take some steps that will enable us to control the direction we fall.
Like on the trail ride that you take down to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. You don’t ride a horse, because when they get spooked they leap forward. You ride mules, which are sure-footed and always back up when they are spooked. They don’t go over the ledge.
Just as Lydia and I fell in love rather quickly, the danger is always there that we fall out of love. We learned that love is not a passive emotion. God intends us to actively engage in love, to be purposeful with our love, just as God actively uses marriage to accomplish His purpose for our lives.
God wants our marriage to be much more than polite “civil” arrangements. He wants us to be dynamically involved with Him in allowing this marriage to make us more like Jesus Christ.
If you have stopped moving toward your spouse, you have stopped moving toward God. The opposite of agape love isn’t hate, it is apathy. If you are not purposefully moving toward your spouse, you do not love your spouse. To make matters worse, if you have stopped moving toward your spouse, you do not love God.
DIFFICULT FOR MEN
THIS ACTIVE MOVING TOWARD YOUR SPOUSE IS MORE DIFFICULT FOR MEN.
1. Men Are Less Communicative
a. We think warm and fuzzy thoughts about our wife
b. We have trouble expressing those thoughts
c. Men do not realize the damage they do by simply staying quiet
2. Men View Independence As Sign Of Strength And Maturity
a. We must be willing to stand alone
b. God is always moving toward people
c. To flee relationship is an act of cowardice
i. Easier to get someone young
ii. Maturing relationship challenges his authority and power
iii. We sulk when we don’t get our way.
iv. We can’t take the “give and take” of a real relationship, so we pour ourselves into our work and play.
God calls men to centrally move toward your wife. This moving toward your wife is what will mold you into the image of Christ.

Authors@Google: James Randi
James Randi is an internationally known magician (as The Amazing Randi), psychic debunker, and winner of a MacArthur Foundation "Genius Grant." He was a founding fellow of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (CSICOP). He is perhaps best known for offering $1000000 (via the James Randi Educational Foundation) to anyone who can successfully demonstrate psychic powers under conditions mutually agreed on by the challenger and himself. Starting with a $10000 prize over 25 years ago, no claimant to psychic powers has ever won the money. Randi has pursued "psychic" spoonbenders, exposed the dirty tricks of faith healers, investigated homeopathic water "with a memory," and generally been a thorn in the sides of those who try to pull the wool over the public's eyes in the name of the supernatural. This event took place August 6, 2007 at Google Headquarters in Mountain View, CA.
