1997 NFL on NBC Intro (DEN vs. JAX -- 1996 AFC Divisional Playoff).wmv
(c)1997 National Football League; NBC Universal This is the intro for the 1996 AFC Divisional playoff between the #5 seeded Jacksonville Jaguars (one year removed from expansion) and the top-seeded Denver Broncos in one of the most thrilling playoff games ever (when it appeared in the NFL's Greatest Games series; it would be dubbed "Ambush at Mile High"). This is the only 1996 NFL on NBC intro I have discovered. Jacksonville would go on to win 30-27 to hand what (in the America's Game on the 1997 Denver Broncos) John Elway would consider the most frustrating loss in his career. NOTES: 1. This would be the only loss for the Denver Broncos at Mile High during the 1996 season. 2. This would (famously) be the last game that the "Orange Crush" uniforms were worn as the regular unis (Denver would switch to their current uniforms the following season; only bringing the Orange Crush version back for a 2001 Thanksgiving match with Dallas). 3. This was the final game officiated by Red "First DOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWNNNNNNNN" Cashion. ANNOUNCERS: Dick Enberg, Paul Maguire, Phil Simms SIDELINE REPORTERS: Jim Gray, Beasley Reece (normally the analyst opposite Don Criqui at this point)

Tin Roof TV Episode 2 - Stevie Johnson attempt the Tin Roof Challenge at Lexington Tin Roof
Johnson was drafted by the Buffalo Bills in the seventh round (224th overall) of the 2008 NFL Draft.
His first reception came in Week 5 against the Arizona Cardinals, and went for 8 yards. In Week 15, against the New York Jets, Johnson caught his first touchdown reception, a two-yard pass from J. P. Losman. He caught his second touchdown a week later against the Denver Broncos on a three-yard pass from Trent Edwards. Johnson finished his rookie season with 10 receptions for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Battling a severe rib injury in 2009, he only managed 2 catches for 10 yards.
After good off-season practices Johnson was able to win the starting receiver position before 2010 season. After losing his starting position early in the season, he regained it with a string of good performances. In a Week 7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, Johnson had a career-game, catching 8 passes for 158 yards and a touchdown. Two weeks later, he set a career-high in catches with 11 for 145 yards against the Chicago Bears.
During Week 3 of the 2010 season in a game against the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium, Johnson scored a fourth quarter touchdown. After the score, he imitated a minuteman firing a rifle and fell to the ground backwards pretending to be shot. Johnson was fined $10,000 for the celebration.[4] In a Week 11 win over the Cincinnati Bengals, he caught 8 passes for 137 yards and a career-milestone 3 touchdowns. After his first touchdown, Johnson lifted his jersey to reveal the question "Why so serious?" written on his T-shirt. The quote, made famous by The Joker in the Batman movie The Dark Knight.,[5] was directed at Bengals wide receivers Terrell Owens and Chad Ochocinco, who referred to themselves as Batman and Robin.[6] Johnson was fined $5,000 by the league office for the celebration.[7]
Johnson finished his breakout campaign with 82 receptions, 1073 yards and 10 touchdowns. Following the season, Johnson was named the 2010 Vizio Top Value Performer for being the NFL player who outplayed his salary by the widest margin.[8]
During the 2011 season, Johnson was fined twice for excessive celebrations. The first was Week 12 against the New York Jets. Johnson pretended to shoot his leg and then fly like a Jet and pretended to crash, imitating Jets receiver Plaxico Burress. The second penalty called on Johnson was in week 17 against the New England Patriots. Johnson lifted his jersey, revealing "Happy New Year" written on his undershirt. Chan Gailey benched Johnson for the rest of the game, although he posted 4 receptions for 40 yards and an 18-yard TD.[9][10]
In 2011, Johnson's numbers fell a bit, posting 76 receptions for 1,004 yards and 7 touchdown receptions. According to Steve, he played the year with a torn groin and a broken hand, which hurt his production but proved his dedication to the football team.
On March 5th, 2012, Johnson signed a new 5-year contract with the Buffalo Bills
Johnson attended Chabot College in California from 2004 to 2005 before transferring to the University of Kentucky. In his first season with the program, he recorded 12 catches for 159 yards (13.3 avg) and 1 touchdown. Against Clemson in the Music City Bowl, Johnson caught three balls for 67 yards.
The 2007 season was a historic one for Johnson as he compiled 61 receptions for 1,052 yards (17.2 avg) and 13 touchdowns. He became the fourth player in school history to gain over 1,000 yards receiving and his thirteen touchdowns in a season rank second on the school's season-record list.
During the season, he caught three game-winning touchdowns, including one against Florida State in the Music City Bowl.
After the season, Johnson was selected to the College Football News' All-Southeastern Conference first-team.
About the Roof
It all started in Atlanta back in 1996. We were originally located in Buckhead where the locals kept the place packed and musicians kept the place rocking. With great live music being such a driving force for our success, it made perfect sense to move the concept to Music City, USA. In February of 2002, we opened the Tin Roof on Demonbreun Street at the base of Nashville’s famed music row. The Roof (as it’s known to our Regulars) has been a hit ever since. Our customers love our laid-back feel and live entertainment—not to mention our made from scratch food served up by a friendly and eclectic staff.
In 2006, due to the demand of many of our original Regulars that had moved to the Cool Springs area outside of Nashville, Tin Roof 2 was opened. TR2 has since been joined by many other Nashville businesses in the now flourishing area around Carothers Parkway. Tin Roof Lexington was opened in the spring of 2009 after back to back visits to the Music City Bowl brought thousands of UK fans to Nashville and the Tin Roof. We liked them so much that we had to follow them back home!
Later that fall, we opened Tin Roof Knoxville on the famous Strip by the University of Tennessee and immediately lear

Inside 9-2-10
Cameron Poe-Mitchell did his best to take the suspense out of Fayette County head coach Waldon Tucker’s quest for his 300th career win Friday night. Poe-Mitchell score four first-half touchdowns as the Tigers beat Tuscaloosa County’s newest high school Sipsey Valley 28-6 before a near capacity crowd at John Morgan Brown Stadium in Fayette.
Poe-Mitchell scored on runs of 6 and 47 yards and caught TD passes covering 78 and 4 yards as Tucker became just the second coach in Alabama prep football history to win 300 games in the state. Tucker now has 275 wins in the AHSAA and 300 overall counting 25 he won at non-AHSAA member school Demopolis Academy to start his career 38 years ago.
Mitchell’s effort earned him the AHSAA Spotlight performance of the first week’s action. He edged out his own teammate Evan Sims. The Tigers quarterback was a perfect 9-of-9 passing for 168 yards and the two TDs to Mitchell.
NFHS Hall of Famer Glenn Daniel was the first prep coach to win 300. He won 302 in his long career that included five years and Pine Hill and almost four decades at Luverne
The win was bittersweet for Tucker. It came at the expense of his eldest son Lance Tucker, who was making his head-coaching debut for Sipsey Valley’s Bears.
“I didn’t enjoy this. This was the hardest thing I have ever had to do,” said the elder Tucker, 300-123-3 overall. He is 275-107 in the AHSAA and 223-92 at Fayette. His team won the 1996 state 4A title at 15-0 and his 1980 Gordo team was 14-0 to win a state crown. “I didn’t want to have to coach this game against my own son. ”
In other highlights from Week 1:
RICO STALLWORTH, ESCAMB IA COUNTY: The Blue Devils quarterback rushed for 169 yards and three touchdowns – the final one coming in overtime – and also scored the game-winning two-point conversion as Escambia County nipped T.R. Miller 35-34. The victory at Atmore prevented coach Jamie Riggs’ Tigers from becoming the first school in state history to record 600 wins. T.R. Miller came into the game with 599 wins, according to records compiled by the Alabama High School Historical Society. T.R. Miller is now 599-286-20 in 906 games dating back to the school’s first season in 1926. The Tigers are 226-45 since 1990. The win was new Escambia Coach Mark Heaton’s debut win. T.R. Miller will go for No. 600 again this week on Friday night at Bayside Academy.
WILLIE CURRY AND RHETT HARRELSON, ENTERPRISE: Combined for 300 yards rushing as Enterprise opened its new Wildcats Stadium before a packed home crowd with a 49-21 win over Sidney Lanier. It was the 598th victory in Enterprise’s 97-year history – just one behind T.R. Miller. Curry rushed for 186 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries and Harrelson had 113 on six carries with one score. He also passed for 107 yards. Enterprise is now 598-252-34 to ranked second all-time in wins behind the Tigers.
CHASE LINDSEY, RED BAY: Ran for two touchdowns covering 1 and 50 yards as Red Bay downed Sheffield 20-14 to give head coach Dale Jeffreys his 100th career victory.
ERIC TRAVIS, CARVER-BIRMINGHAM: The senior linebacker made a safety with a tackle in the end zone and forced s fumble that teammate Robbie Sturdivant returned 70 yards for a TD to spark Carver’s 20-6 win over B.T. Washington of Tuskegee. The win in the school’s new on-campus football stadium snapped a 27-game losing streak. The last “official” win for the Rams came in week two of 2007 when Hoover was required to forfeit a 59-0 victory over Carver. The last on-the-field win came in week 10 of the 2006 season in a 26-20 triumph over Parker.
Region play begins in all classes this week even though some nine-team regions had region contests in week one. Among the key early region matches is Thursday night’s Enterprise vs. Northview battle in Class 6A , Region 3.to be played at Dothan’s Rip Hewes Stadium. Among Friday’s prominent match-ups are some major rivalry battles including Hewitt-Trussville at Clay-Chalkville, Spain Park at Hoover, Alexandria at Oneonta, Deshler at Brooks, Spanish Fort at Gulf Shores, Prattville at Stanhope Elmore and Mountain Brook at Vestavia Hills.
At Vestavia, the city will be inducting the first class of the Vestavia Hills Sports Hall of Fame. When we come back, we’ll take a look at these 12 honorees.
A banquet at Vestavia Hills Country Club Thursday night and a pre-game on-the-field ceremony Friday night prior to the Mountain Brook-Vestavia Hills Class 6A, Region 6 football game at Thompson Reynolds Stadium/Buddy Anderson Field highlight the festivities honoring 12 inductees in the inaugural class of the Vestavia Hills Sports Hall of Fame. Those being inducted include current AHSAA Hall of Fame members Buddy Anderson, Fran Braasch, Sammy Dunn and Thompson “Mutt” Reynolds. Bruce Smith DE Buffalo Bills
A member of the Buffalo Bills teams that played in four consecutive Super Bowls as AFC champions. The holder of the NFL career record for quarterback sacks, Smith was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2009, his first year of eligibility. In his 19 NFL seasons, Smith played in 279 games, amassing 200 sacks, two interceptions, 46 forced fumbles, and 15 fumble recoveries, which he returned for 33 yards and a touchdown. Of his 19 seasons in the NFL, 14 of them were seasons where he had at least ten sacks, a testament to his consistency year in and year out. He was also named All-Pro nine times. His 200 sacks give him the record for most career quarterback take-downs. As Smith spent most of his career in a 3-4 defensive scheme, a defensive scheme not geared toward creating sack opportunities for defensive ends, many consider the record particularly impressive. Indeed, Smith's peers elected him to the Pro Bowl every season from 1987 to 1998 (with the exception of his injury-laden 1991 season). In 1987, he was named the Pro Bowl MVP. Smith was twice named the AP's NFL Defensive Player of the Year (1990, 1996), twice named the NEA Defensive Player of the Year (1990, 1993) and four times named UPI's AFC Defensive Player of the Year (1987, 1988, 1990, 1996).
