Eazy E - Boyz N' Tha Hood
Name: Eazy E - Boyz N' Tha Hood Info: Eric Lynn Wright. Born September 7, 1963--March 26 1995. Eric is better known by the stage name Eazy-E. He was an American rapper, producer, and record executive from Anoush Street in Compton. He was a Kelly Park Compton Crip (although he was connected to many other Crip gangs) from the early teenage years, and until his death. He is widely regarded as one of the founders of the gangsta rap sub-genre and initially rose to fame as a member of the group NWA, but later achieved critical and commercial success as a solo artist. Eazy-E's vocal style was marked by his youthful, high-pitched voice and his lyrics focusing on the elements of urban street life such as guns, drugs, relations between residents and the police, and deviant sexual activity. He had also for some time hosted a hip-hop radio show on Los Angeles-based radio station KKBT. Eazy E "Easier Said Than Done"
Eric Lynn Wright (September 7, 1963--March 26, 1995), better known by the stage name Eazy-E, was an American rapper, producer, and record executive from Compton, California. Eazy E was a Kelly Park Compton Crip during his teen years, and until his success he openly associated himself with other crips and crip sets. He sold drugs during his early teen years and then parlayed the money he made into a hip hop enterprise. He is widely regarded as one of the founders of the gangsta rap sub-genre and initially rose to fame as the founder and member of the group NWA, but later achieved critical and commercial success as a solo artist. Eazy-E's vocal style was marked by his youthful, high-pitched voice and his lyrics focusing on the elements of urban street life such as guns, drugs, relations between residents and the police, and sexual activity. He had also for some time hosted a hip-hop radio show on Los Angeles-based radio station KKBT.

DJ Quik : Compton Alumni
DJ Quik covers the LA Weekly this week. But the West Coast legend can't be confined to a couple thousand printed words.
So we went to Compton with Quik, and made a video.
Sitting in his studio in a Papa Smurf t-shirt, or sliding through Compton in his gleaming black Mercedes, DJ Quik talks about driving through Crip territory as a Blood, Eazy-E's offer of a million dollars to sign, and his disbelief that he's still alive. It's a trip through his hood, but also his life.

Game talks being underrated, Eazy-E, getting shot 5 times, RED Album
www.hardknock.tv Exclusive in-depth interview with Game. In part 1 Game talks to Nick Huff Barili about the first time Game met his childhood idol Eazy-E, which ironically was on the set of Real Compton City G's which was a diss to Dr Dre, whom he latter signed to. Game also responds to Pharrell's statement calling him the most underrated rapper and gives some insight into what it was like to wake up from being shot 5 times. At the end of part one Game begins to speak on the RED album. Part 2, which will be up Friday, will go into much more depth about it.
