Into Battle - String Orchestra [HD]
Hey guys! I've been wanting to get a live recording of my song for a long time now, so last week I went to visit my high school to ask the orchestra director if it would be possible for the orchestra to play my song! This is the result! Since we only had one camera, my friend phil recorded them rehearsing as well, so I managed to splice the videos together to make it more interesting. However, some of the audio from the switching might not sync up with their actions exactly. Soloist: Peiming Lin Orchestra Conductor: Mr. Alan MacNair Performers: Troy High Symphony Strings (without the graduated seniors) Please subscribe if you want more! Rate and comment please! Thanks a lot for watching! - Steve ps I know the audio with the piano at the end isn't in sync.. i didn't record that audio with video, so I put up another version muted! Find me on facebook! Bach, Air ("on the G string", string orchestra)
JS Bach's Air on a G-string, from his 3rd orchestral suite in D major. FAQ To download this video or make a contribution to support this project: vimeo.com Q: Where can I get free sheet music for this piece? A: The score in the video can be downloaded from here: www.musanim.com And here's a piano arrangement of it www.musanim.com www.musanim.com Click here to watch it in high-quality (recommended): www.youtube.com Q: Who is performing? A: I got this recording from Royalty Free Classical Music (dot org); they sell stock performances, and give stock answers to questions; the stock answer to "who is performing this" is "The RFCM Symphony Orchestra". Q: What is the BWV number for this? A: BWV 1068 Q: What does this have to do with a g-string? A: The short answer is that many people know it by the name "Air on the G-string," so I put it in the title to help people find it. You can read more about this here: en.wikipedia.org Q: What is the real name of this piece? A: It is the second movement of Bach's Orchestral Suite No. 3 in D major, titled "Aria" (Italian for "Air"). Q: Can you please do a video of ______? A: Please read this: www.musanim.com Q: How can I make this kind of display? A: Check out this: www.musanim.com Q: How can I turn the MAM MIDI Player display into a movie? A: See the "How to capture video" section of this page www.musanim.com and ask for advice from the people who have been doing this. .

Peter Warlock - Capriol Suite (COMPLETE) for String Orchestra
Played by the European Community Chamber Orchestra conducted by Eivind Aadland. Philip Heseltine (Peter Warlock 1894-1930) was born in London and lost his father as a child. His mother remarried and returned to her native Wales, living at Cefn Bryntalch Hall, Abermule, near Newtown, Montgomeryshire, the family home of her second husband, Walter Buckley Jones. Philip's education was mainly classical, including studies at Eton College, at Christ Church, Oxford (for one year), and at University College London (one term). In music, he was mostly self-taught, studying composition on his own from the works of composers he admired, notably Frederick Delius, Roger Quilter and Bernard van Dieren. Nevertheless, one of the masters at Eton, Colin Taylor, had introduced him to some of the modern masters which made a marked impression on him. He was also strongly influenced by Elizabethan music and poetry as well as by Celtic culture (he studied the Cornish, Welsh, Irish, Manx, and Breton languages). It was the move to Wales, occasioned by his mother's remarriage, that was the spark for this; only the working classes spoke Welsh but Philip, never one to shy away from the unconventional, set about learning it with vigour. Heseltine wrote his earliest mature compositions, published to critical acclaim under the newly adopted pseudonym Peter Warlock, following his sojourn in Ireland of 1917-1918. They were followed by a period of concentration on musical journalism; for a while, he was ...

101 Strings Orchestra: Theme From 'A Summer Place' (Steiner, 1959) - Movie Clips
Max Steiner wrote the "Theme from A Summer Place" for the 1959 film, "A Summer Place," which starred Sandra Dee and Troy Donahue. It was recorded for the film by Hugo Winterhalter, but Percy Faith recorded the most popular version of the tune, which spent an at-the-time record of nine consecutive weeks at number one on the still-young Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in early 1960. It remains the longest-running number-one instrumental in the history of the chart. Faith won a Grammy Award for Record of the Year in 1961 for his recording. This was the first movie theme and the first instrumental to win a Record of the Year Grammy. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Other performances of great music by the 101 Strings: Let's Dance: www.youtube.com MacArthur Park: www.youtube.com Frenesi: www.youtube.com Moon River: www.youtube.com Fascination: www.youtube.com Moonlight Serenade: www.youtube.com Misty: www.youtube.com Theme of Exodous: www.youtube.com Speak Softly Love: www.youtube.com Lonely Bull / Tijuana Taxi: www.youtube.com A Man And A Woman: www.youtube.com Do You Know The Way To San Jose: www.youtube.com Theme from M*A*S*H: www.youtube.com In The Mood: www.youtube.com Theme from "Hawaii 5-0": www.youtube.com New York, New York: www.youtube.com Just One Of Those Things: www.youtube.com People: www.youtube.com Galveston: www.youtube.com All The Things you Are: www.youtube.com Guantanamera: www.youtube.com By The Time I Get To Phoenix: www.youtube.com
