BY POPULAR DEMAND! 1966 Gibson Melody Maker 00505
www.frettedamericana.com This extremely rare Pelham Blue Melody Maker weighs just 6.50 lbs. and has a nut width of 1 9/16 inches and a standard Gibson scale length of 24 3/4 inches. Solid mahogany body, medium profile one-piece mahogany neck, and rosewood fretboard with 22 jumbo frets and inlaid pearl dot position markers. Headstock with gold silk-screened "Gibson" logo. Closed-back dual-line Kluson Deluxe strip tuners with white plastic oval buttons. Serial number ("900231") stamped on the back of the headstock. One hot Melody Maker pickup (white plastic-covered single-coil pickup without adjustable poles) with an output of 6.17k. Single-layer white plastic pickguard with ten screws. Two controls (one volume, one tone) on the lower treble bout. Black plastic bell-shaped knobs with metal tops. The pots are stamped: "137 65XX" (CTS 1965 [month obscured by solder]). Stud wrap-around bridge/tailpiece with pre-set intonation and Maestro vibrato tailpiece. Apart from a few very small marks on the sides of the guitar, a small surface chip on the back of the neck behind the 10th fret, a tiny amount of finish checking, and the bare minimum of fading to green, this rare Pelham Blue Melody Maker is in exceptionally fine (9.00) condition. Housed in the original Gibson black softshell case with brown velvet lining (8.75).

Gibson Melody Maker - Raw Vintage Sunburst - Nevada music UK
www.nevadamusic.co.uk Resurrecting one of the most popular electric guitars in Gibson's history, the Melody Maker - shown here in a Raw Vintage Sunburst finish, is an accurate, affordable re-creation of the original Melody Makers of the late 1950s. Originally introduced as a student model, much like the Les Paul Junior, the Melody Maker became a player's favorite for its light weight, comfortable neck, and great tone. The re-released version of the Melody Maker Les Paul guitar is no exception. With a period-correct scratchplate housing a specially designed single coil pick-up, a vintage-style wrap-around tailpiece, rounded neck profile, and slim, light body, the Melody Maker offers great value for players of all ages, styles, and skill levels and will also appeal to lovers of guitar nostalgia ... www.nevadamusic.co.uk

1960 Epiphone Olympic/GIbson Melody Maker f/Sale Demo/Review
Here's a 1960 Epiphone Olympic which IS a Gibson Melody Maker (except for the names) for you to check out. This thing is in excellent condition and is soooooo cool...wish I could keep it but again, I am (very) happy that I got to have it pass through my hands. This was the 4th take as I babbled too much and ran over the 10 minute limit 3 times...I'll post the jamming part over the loop as take 1, 2, & 3 as a video response if you are interested...I always like 1st takes when I can use them...except for about 6 minutes each of explaining the guitar, pointing out features and flaws (and playing a little bit), you can see me go from cold and stiff to more warmed up and fluid. The loop was done on my Taylor 712(E) and an Ibanez SRX3EXQM1 bass through a Boss RC20XL loop station plugged into a Marshall AS50R Acoustic amp which I also used for the playback of the loop. I'll beputting it up on eBay in a no games, no hidden reserve auction (unless someone here gets to it first...which is fine...and that has happened a few times in the past and I encourage it as eBay is getting rich enough off of me anyways). Guitars Wanted as I'm always looking for more guitars...I buy/sell/trade 'em. I'm plugged straight into my same old rig (no effects at all)...Fender Super Sonic combo with an Avatar 2x12 all loaded with 12" Hellatone 30's...I use Monster cables for the most part unless I specify something else...this was a 12' Jazz cable between the guitar and amp and a Performer 500 series ...
