Iranian oil sales 'on rise' despite all sanctions & rhetoric - report
The International Energy Agency says Tehran's crude sales are rising, now edging over a million barrels a day. European and US sanctions were imposed to pressure Iran over its nuclear programme, which Tehran maintains is purely peaceful. But Iran's resources are still a hot commodity across the region - with Turkey, China and India currently the top importers. Political analyst Chris Bambery says blocking oil trade with Iran could harm other economies. IEA - International Energy Agency 2007 - 2030 chart outlook- have a coke
add " &fmt;=18 " to the URL and reload the page for a better Video quality. (2 hours after upload) www.iea.org http Key Graphs: www.worldenergyoutlook.org Fact sheets: www.worldenergyoutlook.org tick tick tick tick 40 years to go! PS: my yearly energy costs have risen over 30% in 1 year (2008) They will rise a minimum and a further 30% next year (2009) not to forget the hidden inflationary costs and the past down/on CO2 emission cost that will be added. OPEC will reduce OIL supply by 2.2 mb/d in 2009 so the energy cost will rise anyway. Have a Coke! I suspect we have reached our limits globally on virtually everything and there will be no real "soft-landing" for over 90% of our Global population. If our efforts to understand and resolve such matters as global change involve increasing political, technological, economic, and scientific complexity, as it seems they will, then the availability of energy per capita will be a constraining factor. To increase complexity on the basis of static or declining energy supplies would require lowering the standard of living throughout the world. In the absence of a clear crisis very few people would support this. To maintain political support for our current and future investments in complexity thus requires an increase in the effective per capita supply of energy-either by increasing the physical availability of energy, or by technical, political, or economic innovations that lower the energy cost of our standard of living. Of course ...

Iraq Energy Outlook 2012 Launch - Presentation
World Energy Outlook Special Report 2012 - Iraq Energy Outlook press launch introduction Iraq is already the world's third largest oil exporter. It has the resources and intention to increase its oil production vastly. Contracts are already in place. Will Iraq's ambitions be realised? And what would the implications be for Iraq's economy and for world oil markets? The obstacles are formidable: political, logistical, legal, regulatory, financial, lack of security and sufficient skilled labour. One example: in 2011 grid electricity could meet only 55% of demand. The International Energy Agency has studied these issues with the support and close cooperation of the government of Iraq and many other leading officials, commentators, industry representatives and international experts. This special report, in the World Energy Outlook series, presents the findings. See more: www.worldenergyoutlook.org Download the publication here: iea.org

A Critical Look at the IEA Outlook for American Energy Independence, Oil and Natural Gas
check us out on Facebook www.facebook.com Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Today Brent crude rose to $111 a barrel due to concerns over fighting between Israel and Gaza, according to Fox Business. However Reuters later reported that economic fears outweighed the Middle East violence, sending oil lower. These news-making events may impact the day to day price swings in oil, but what about the bigger picture of supply and demand? We talk to Marin Katusa, Chief Energy Investment Strategist at Casey Research, about longer-term developments in oil and gas as game changers in the energy outlook. Earlier this week the IEA released its World Energy Outlook report forecast. Some of the key predictions included: the US will be the world's top oil producer by 2020, by 2035 the US will be virtually self-sufficient in oil, new fuel-efficiency measures in transport will begin to curb US oil demand, andNorth America will become a net oil exporter around 2030. This shift, according to the IEA, will be driven primarily by accelerated extraction of natural gas and oil from shale and other tight rock formations as a result of technology, specifically hydraulic fracturing and horizontal drilling. Last week OPEC admitted for the first time that US shale oil production would significantly diminish its share of the US market. We talk to Marin Katusa about the future of shale as a path to US energy independence. Plus, a House panel released a long-awaited 97-page report placing blame on the ...

MTV Rocks Series 2
Director: Mischa Rozema
Production: PostPanic
Agency: MTV World Design Studio (Milano)
PostPanic create 3 new stories for MTV Rocks bringing the total to 8 idents. The three new idents, ‘Loop-the-Loop’, ‘Bugs’ and ‘Fly-by’ are a continuation of director Mischa Rozema’s theme for the channel. The initial brief for PostPanic was to encapsulate the mood and emotion associated with alternative music and create a series of idents to serve the MTV Rocks branding established by the MTV World Design Studio (Milano). Rozema developed a central theme of an on-going film that the viewer drops in and out of, and wrote a set of scripts based in an imaginary landscape populated with surreal characters and situations. Shot on location in Northern Spain, the footage was then brought back for some CG trickery back here in Amsterdam. Massive Music worked on the audio side of things.
Mischa Rozema explains further, ‘My main idea was to create the opposite of what you would expect on a music channel. MTV has always been about extreme visual and musical diversity – it’s a constant change in pace. I wanted to create idents that did the opposite, that literally formed an underlying ‘film’, something you might stumble across while channel hopping. When you come across this reoccurring film, it should evoke questions, just as if you found it while flicking the remote. What is this film? What’s happening in it? What’s the relationship between the scenes? And before you can answer anything, it changes but the viewer wants to know what’s going on and they continue watching and waiting for the next one. So basically it’s about filling the screen with as many unanswered questions as possible within 12, 10, 5 and 3 seconds, as long as it was visually stunning and conveyed the energy that’s attached to MTV Rocks.’

Nuclear Power (and Cows)
Deutscher Text weiter unten.
This short film is not a political statement, although the international debate about nuclear energy after Fukushima inspired the making of it.
In Switzerland, there are four nuclear power plants, running five reactors: Beznau I & II, Mühleberg, Goesgen and Leibstadt.
Nowadays, Switzerland’s power production consists of 55% hydroelectricity, 40% nuclear energy and 5% from other sources as for instance incinerators (Source: BFE). After the shutdown of the Oldbury reactor in Western England at the end of February 2012, Beznau I is now the oldest pressurized water reactor worldwide, running since September 1st 1969.
Last but not least, major concern regarding the safety of the Mühleberg reactor arises from the formation of cracks in the core shroud inside the vessel and has provoked a heated debate regarding the necessity of a shutdown of the reactor.
With its cooling towers, Goesgen and Leibstadt are far more photogenic for time-lapse than Beznau and Mühleberg. And cows, you will find them all over Switzerland.
So switch on the lights!
For the "making of" information and photo gallery check out the project website www.helvetiabynight.com.
About:
‘Helvetia by Night’ is a time-lapse project about Switzerland by night. Short videos of long nights present you the stunning beauty of the Swiss Alps and show you the magic of a spectacular nighttime sky. Imagine watching a slide-show at fast speed or looking at a flip book. It is photography turning into a movie. Everything in the videos is real and happening out there while most of us are sleeping.
The three videos ‘Helvetia’s Dream’, ‘Frenetic Zurich’ and ‘Nuclear Power (and Cows)’ are my first footsteps on the road of time-lapse photography. It is a most exciting road to follow with lots of testing, trying and learning every night I spend photographing in the Swiss mountains. Right now, 3D motion control is my biggest challenge. More time-lapse videos of existing footage will be published soon.
Helvetia is the female national personification of Switzerland. The name is a derivation of the ethnonym Helvetii, the name of the Gaulish tribe inhabiting the Swiss Plateau prior to the Roman conquest. Identification of the Swiss as ‘Helvetians’ became common in the 18th century and Helvetia appears on official federal coins and stamps (Source: Wikipedia).
Some words about me:
I grew up in Arosa, a small paradise in the mountains of eastern Switzerland located 1800m above sea level. Inspired by such great scenery, photography has become my passion early in life. Since 2005 I work as press photographer for the Swiss press photo agency KEYSTONE in Zurich. Time-lapse photography became a favorite hobby of mine in the year 2011. Besides that I am doing some other private work which can be found here: www.dellabella.ch
Have fun watching the time-lapse videos!
Alessandro Della Bella

LYRICS:
Hey over there
Please forgive me
If I'm coming on too strong
Hate to stare
But you're winning
And they're playing my favorite song
So come here
A little closer
Wanna whisper in your ear
Make It clear
Little question
Wanna know just how you feel
If I said my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
Cause you feel like paradise
I need a vacation tonight
So if I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
Hey You might think
That I'm crazy
But I you know I'm just your type
I'mma be a little hazy
But you just cannot deny
There's a spark in between us
When we're dancing on the floor
I want more
Wanna see It
So I'm asking you tonight
If I said my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
Cause you feel like paradise
I need a vacation tonight
So if I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
If I said I want your body
Would It Hold It Against Me?
(Yeah) (Ah) (Oh)
Gimme something good
Don't wanna wait I want It now (na-na-now)
Pop It like a hood
And show me how you work It out
(alright)
If I said my heart was beating loud
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
If I said my heart was beating loud
If we could escape the crowd somehow
If I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
Cause you feel like paradise
I need a vacation tonight
So if I said I want your body now
Would you hold it against me
Aloha to all my fellow Moombahton Comrades, Amigos & Amigas!
First off Eye would like to send a HUGE shoutout to DJ Melo, who hails from my hometown of Phoenix, Arizona. Siriusly you did an amazing job on the "Winter of Moombahton" and Eye think that we can all say how stoked we are that this "moombah" institution is continuing to go strong today. In fact, Eye am listening to it right now. For everyone who would like to check it out ... here is the link to download:
DJ Melo Presents ... The Winter of Moombahton

The EP was also featured on Generation Bass, Tropical Bass & Mad Decent's Blogs this weekend:

Secondly, lets give a round of applause for the innovators who originally channeled the energy that is Moombahton:
Dave Nada - with the original EP release of "Moombahton" in early spring 2010
http://www.djayres.com/tanda/index.php?/projects/tapr0-dave-nada---moombahton/
Munchi - debut of the "seasonal" moombahton EPs and originator of Moombahcore - Moombahton's hard dubsteppin' cousin
http://munchiproductions.blogspot.com/2010/07/munchi-presents-summer-of-moombahton.html
***by the way - love the art on this album so much, the lil' moombah spirit dude is trippppy - is this a symbol for anything or just cool art in the moment? (obviously the flag but otherwise)
this was my first exposure to moombahton in July 2010 - and Eye took my new found moombahton playlist to Burning Man & Powellapalooza Festivals to great success, rave reviews (no pun intended lol) and crazy parties during my sets
David Heartbreak - the continuation of the seasonal moombahton EPs with "Fall of Moombahton" which was a bit harder, including a slew of really cool original tracks and collabs
http://www.tropicalbass.com/2010/11/fall-moombahton-compiled-heartbreak/
This is what made moombahton solid in my book, because by this time in September/October, the amount of tracks doubled almost overnight
There are also cool related genres that Eye would like to point out - these can make a moombahton set pop with some extra variety and tempo speeds
DJ Orion, Pagame & Cauze One - innovators of Boombahchero, and DJ Melo has a couple of these bangerz too
http://generationbass.com/2010/09/22/subguey-vol-1-2-boombahchero/
http://www.tropicalbass.com/2010/10/subguey-vol-3-orion-pagame-boombahchero-edits/

http://generationbass.com/2010/11/16/subguey-volume-iv-boombahchero-2/
There is also Baile Funk, Tribal Guarachero, Kuduro, 3ball, barefoot, and more latin/african percussive-related genres
Also would like to say that these styles also go VERY WELL with hip hop hyphy tribal-eqsue Electro, Drumstep and Dubstep - but Eye am sure you already know that ... here is one of my big influences' new EP:
Bassnectar
http://www.bassnectar.net/listen/
And to everyone involved in this style - big ups! Eye truly believe that moombahton is taking over as we speak,

Greece back on the Brink, IEA Projects US Oil Bonanza and Betting on a Grand Fiscal Bargain!
check us out on Facebook www.facebook.com Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Welcome to Capital Account. This weekend Athens passed a new austerity budget for 2013 with public sector cuts and privatization measures. Greece's parliament passed the austerity budget hoping it would clear the way for the release of the next tranche of bailout money. However, Eurozone finance ministers are not expected to approve the funds today. These austerity votes have also meant the governing center coalition is losing members. We ask Yannis Palaiologos, a journalist in Athens, if Greece is on the verge of new elections all over again. The Greek government predicts public debt will be 189 percent of GDP next year versus the 167 percent originally forecast. According to the IMF, it is unlikely Greece will meet its 2020 target of 120 percent debt-to-GDP, set by lenders last March. The debt projections have been revised upward partly because the Troika bailouts have added to the debt of the country, according to the Financial Times. We get a report from on-the-ground by Greek journalist, Yannis Paolialogos, about the sustainability of Greek debt, as the country creeps towards its sixth year of economic contraction. Also, the International Energy Agency said the US is on track to become the world's top oil producer in 2017, and will be almost entirely energy self-sufficient by 2035. What does this mean for the energy outlook? We talk to Peter Tchir, founder of TF Market Advisors, about what ...
