FINALLY Here is the honest truth about John Denver's accident - taken from the final NTSB Final Report (LAX98A008) and the Monterey County coroners postmortem examination (#97-227). You may have to stop the video to read a few frames - (unless you are a true speed reader) but I suggest that you stop the video to read each of the frames - (there are only 5 or 6 of the 49 pictures) and then watch it again - without stopping it. Enjoy and learn! This video was made in Atlanta, Georgia for my good friend Kathy - it was made on her request (I started it in August 2008 but I got lazy) and posted April 11, 2009. Kathy died of liver failure in California - only hours after this video was posted. She never saw it. My heart is broken for Kathy, my dear friend! A class at my school played this song for our concert and I really liked it (well I'd already heard it before but they brought it back to my memory) so here it is, John Denver's original Leaving on a Jet Plane. Kay, I'm REALLY sorry about the actual "jet" planes. I was looking at the other airplane pictures but they all seemed really lame but the military ones looked interesting. They had better backgrounds. anyway. So yeah, no disrespect. I didn't mean to get all accidentally political on you guys... (wiki) "The original title of the song was 'Oh Babe I Hate To Go' but Denver's then producer, Milt Okun, convinced him to change the title. Denver wrote the song after his flight was delayed. This song would later have a large significance in his life as a plane crash would take his life in the 1990's.
