Titlis Cliff Walk Bridge in the Swiss Alps - World's Scariest and Highest Suspension Bridge
(3000m) Above Sea Level. Europe's highest suspension bridge has been opened in Switzerland at an altitude of over 3000 meters. It's not for the faint-hearted. The narrow 100-meter bridge leads across an abyss 500 meters deep. A Swiss cable car company has built what it says is Europe's highest suspension bridge in the Swiss Alps to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the opening of the Engelberg-Gerschnialp cableway in January 1913. Crossing the "Titlis Cliff Walk," which is just one meter wide and stretches over 500-meter abyss promises to be a dizzying experience. At 3000 meters (9843 feet) above sea level, the vertigo-inducing footbridge is meant to help visitors "experience the height, vastness and majesty of the mountains," says cable car operator Titlis Rotair, which opened the attraction on Friday.

Bangladesh will disappear I BBC - Hot Planet [2010 HD 1080p]
bangladesh-life.blogspot.co.uk Duration: 1 hour [28:24] "Bangladesh already suffer severe flooding in river erosion and is forecast to be devastated by climate change within 40 years. Its likely that 35million Bangladeshis will become climate refugees, at risk from famine, desease and political unrest" [55:10] "Bangladesh, where millions of people are susceptible to that sort of sea level rise" Professors Iain Stewart and Professor Kathy Sykes take a timely look at global warming ahead of the Copenhagen summit, exploring the world's leading climate scientists' vision of the planet's future. Scientists predict that if global temperatures continue to rise at their current rate, Earth will be one degree warmer within 10 years, two degrees warmer within the next 40 years and three degrees or more warmer before the end of the century. If the Earth's temperature increases to three degrees warmer than the average pre-industrial temperature, the impact on the planet will be catastrophic. Across the Earth, ways of life could be lost forever as climate change accelerates out of control. This isn't inevitable, however: climate change is not yet irreversible. Ingenious technology and science is currently being devised, advanced and tested around the world which could offer solutions for a sustainable future. The question that remains is, can the world embrace and implement them on a large enough scale within an effective timeline? If widespread damage to human societies and ...

During our Dhanaulti or Dhanolti trip, we went to Maa Surkanda Devi Temple. This is the last part of our trekking to Maa Surkanda Devi Temple. We trekked for 1.5 km to get to the temple. It took us 40 minutes to complete the trekking. Maa Surkanda Devi Temple is situated 10000 feet above sea level. We started the trekking at 7500 feet from the sea level which means we trekked for 2500 feet. It was a clear day by the blessings Maa which allowed us have the taste of the magnificent mountain range around the temple.

BioShock Infinite - The First 5 Minutes of Gameplay Footage
Check out the first 5 minutes of Irrational Games upcoming Action Shooter BioShock Infinite. Welcome to the city of Columbia. Floating amongst the clouds, cruising far above sea level, this is a place unlike any you've ever seen. Please enjoy your voyage... The third game in the popular Bioshock series, BioShock Infinite breaks away from the underwater setting of the first two games to take players into a floating city held aloft by dirigibles. The game is set in 1912. You play as Booker DeWitt, a disgraced former private detective who's picked up a new case. Your goal is to find Elizabeth, a young woman who's gone missing and return her unharmed. The only problem is that she's being kept on this flying city. Columbia was once a symbol of America's success as a nation, floating around the world as a traveling World's Fair, a marvel of human innovation. But strange things have happened since Columbia's unveiling in 1900, and now the city has disappeared into the clouds. DeWitt knows how to find it, but over the years stories have been told about Columbia having unlawful heavy armament and deranged citizenry. Do not expect this to be a pleasure cruise. Helvetia's Dream
Lesen Sie auf deutsch bitte weiter unten weiter...
‘Helvetia’s Dream’ takes you on a nighttime journey to some of the most beautiful spots in the Swiss Alps – from Arosa to Zermatt, including the world famous mountains Matterhorn and Eiger.
Please pay special attention to the following scenes:
@0:46 watch the persistent train of a bright meteor above Tijerflue Mountain in Arosa, December 2010, which was visible for about 20 minutes. A slow motion effect is applied for better visibility of the shooting star and its trail of ‘smoke’, which consists of ionized gas left behind as the meteor burns up in the atmosphere.
@1:14 clouds above Lake Geneva steam up the lens.
@1:36 on the very left: Climbers step into the unpredictable Eiger Nordwand.
@1:44 the Milky Way rises above the ‘Donkey’ rock on Pilatus.
@1:58 snowcats nearby cause the lighting of the summit cross on Fronalpstock Mountain. (Snowcat lights usually spoil time-lapse)
@2:21 the wind changes the reflection of Säntis Mountain in the Seealpsee.
@2:35 three settings showing orbits of stars. This is an alternative technique to display the movement of stars by sequentially adding the luminosity of each exposure. The result is basically a long exposure with a large aperture.
@2:49 the waxing new moon, not full moon, setting over Pilatus.
For the "making of" information and photo gallery check out the project website www.helvetiabynight.com.
‘Helvetia by Night’ is a time-lapse project about Switzerland by night. Short videos of long nights present you the stunning beauty of the Swiss Alps and show you the magic of a spectacular nighttime sky. Imagine watching a slide-show at fast speed or looking at a flip book. It is photography turning into a movie. Everything in the videos is real and happening out there while most of us are sleeping.
Some words about me:
I grew up in Arosa, a small paradise in the mountains of eastern Switzerland located 1800m above sea level. Inspired by such great scenery, photography has become my passion early in life. Since 2005 I work as press photographer for the Swiss press photo agency KEYSTONE in Zurich. Time-lapse photography became a favorite hobby of mine in the year 2011. Besides that I am doing some other private work which can be found here: www.dellabella.ch
Have fun watching the time-lapse videos!
‘Helvetias Traum’ ist ein nächtlicher Streifzug durch die Schweizer Alpen – von Arosa bis Zermatt. Zu den Höhepunkten gehören die weltbekannten Berge Matterhorn und Eiger.
Schenken Sie folgenden Szenen besondere Aufmerksamkeit:

Protest takes you on a journey "From here to there" with 5 of their professional surfers, following them on their journey from their personal here to get there, whether it's a search for solitude and empty breaks, winning contests under pressure or simply searching for the perfect wave in imperfect locations.
Yannick de Jager nurtured his surfing skills in his front yard, the North Sea in The Netherlands. He will find his ''there'' somewhere along the way while traveling to locations with high quality surf, competing in international contests or simply finding waves to perform - to take his surfing to the next level.

NORRONA (V) MAGAZINE fjora replayed
Deep in Norway's Sunnmøre fjords is the small village of Fjørå. Over the centuries, local farmers have cleared trails up and down the steep mountainsides. Today, those trails challenge technical mountain bikers who descend to the rocky shore from 1100 metres over sea level.

NOVA Magnetic Pole Flip 530000 Years Overdue & Happening Now?
A new documentary about earths polar shift is available online at: www.cbc.ca Facts about Magnetic North Pole Since the 70s, the pole has moved more than 1500 km at a rate of 10 kilometres a year. In the 1980s, this increased to 30 km a year. Today, the Pole travels 50, even 60 km - close to 150 metres a day. Scientists don't quite know why its speed has increased these past 20 years. The magnetic pole is moving northwest of the geographic pole and may soon be across the Arctic Ocean in Siberia. To find their bearings, sailors the world over must know the exact angle of difference between the two geographic and the magnetic north poles: the 'magnetic declination.' The magnetic pole moves from the North to the South and vice versa every 250000 years on average and does it very suddenly. Over 180 reversals have been recorded already. As the intensity of the magnetic field tends to diminish, our planet becomes more susceptible to solar storms. In 100 years, the intensity has decreased by 15%." www.cbc.ca Video retrieved from: www.pbs.org

2013 Nissan Pathfinder vs Dodge Durango 0-60 MPH Mile High Mashup Review
( www.TFLcar.com ) The brand new 2013 Nissan Pathfinder is now a new school 7 passenger family hauling Crossover. With a CVT and front-wheel-drive the base Nissan Pathfinder is engineered to sip fuel instead of finding paths in the great untamed wilderness. On the other hand the 2013 Dodge Durango is much more of an old school Crossover. In base trim the Durango has a rear-wheel-drive set-up mated to a 5-speed automatic powered by a somewhat larger V6. Of course can be had with a all-wheel-drive but in this mashup we wanted to see which of these two vehicles is the better family hauling truckster. Check out another fun, informative and exclusive TFLcar mashup as we put both of these Crossovers to the 0-60 MPH test @ a mile above sea level.
