TIME RIVER
Time River is a totally silent dramatic film. The story is completely in the visuals. It stars
William A. Smith as an
Old Man dying in an
Arizona nursing home. He indicates to his family that he wishes to return to the desert town of Time River. His family drives him to the remnants of the old town, now a ghost town. As they push him through the deserted streets he sees the buildings and memories of his times in Time River. You see his memories as a
Young Man (played by Jon
Sharkey) who re-lives his first love with a beautiful and loving
Saloon Girl, played by
Cindy Womack.
Principal photography was completed in
1973, but the film was not premiered until
1987 due to multiple problems filming the closing credits.
