Mylo Xyloto /ˈmaɪloʊ ˈzaɪlətoʊ/ is the fifth studio album by British alternative rock band Coldplay. It was first released on 19 October 2011 by EMI, and later worldwide on 24 October. The band collaborated closely with acclaimed producer Brian Eno following their successful collaborations on Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends, the band's fourth studio album.
Mylo Xyloto is a concept album and a thematic rock opera. The album tells the story of a war against sound and colour by a supremeist government, set in the world of Silencia, an Orwellian society. Silencia has been taken over by a supremacist government, led by Major Minus, who controls the population through media and propaganda. His aim is to take sound and colour off the streets in hope to draw away "feeders", creatures that use such energy to hunt its prey. The album follows Mylo, a "silencer", who is one of an army tasked to hunt and track down "sparkers", people who harness light and energy and use it to create sparks, comparable to graffiti in real life. He comes across Xyloto, a sparker who is the most wanted by Major Minus. Through Xyloto, Mylo discovers his sparker abilities and his affiliation with the Car Kids, a major sparker faction founded by Mylo's parents Aiko and Lela. Drummer Will Champion has noted that the album is a story of the characters "falling in love and trying to escape together", with a general theme of "love conquering all".
Myles MacInnes (born 10 May 1978, Broadford, Isle of Skye, Scotland), better known by the stage name Mylo, is a Scottish electronic musician and record producer.
MacInnes was educated at his local high school on the Isle of Skye and, after successfully gaining admission and a scholarship, George Watson's College, a private school in Morningside, Edinburgh. After completing his Certificate of Sixth Year Studies, with one course in chemistry and four in mathematics, MacInnes gained admission and matriculated to the University of Edinburgh. MacInnes had no plan after high school and initially wanted to lay bricks in Australia, but he was unable to obtain a visa.
At the University of Edinburgh, MacInnes studied mathematics, taking second-year mathematics classes in his first year. Submitting an open application, he then applied to study mathematics and philosophy at the University of Oxford and was allocated Brasenose College. In 1999, MacInnes graduated in Psychology, Philosophy and Physiology with a first-class degree.
The Mylo Xyloto Tour was the fifth concert tour by British band Coldplay. Launched in support of their fifth studio album Mylo Xyloto (2011), the tour began in October 2011 with a series of one-off concerts in Europe and festivals including Rock in Rio in Brazil. A full-production show began in December 2011 in the United Kingdom. It continued into 2012 with shows in North America, Europe and Oceania.
After devoting the summer of 2011 to a promotional tour in Europe, the Americas and Africa, the band announced the tour via their Twitter account in September 2011. Initial dates revealed shows in the UK, France, Germany and Belgium. A set of rehearsal shows were added for October and November, seeing the band partake in radio festivals and fan-exclusive gigs. Due to the demand, the band added additional shows in the UK. One of those dates is a concert at Dingwalls in London. Here, the band played several shows to help finance their debut album. Later in November, more dates were added in the UK, this time, playing stadiums in June 2012. The shows in Coventry, Manchester, Sunderland and London sold out in under two hours. The tour kicked off with a live-streamed concert in Madrid. Each member of the band received £10.2 million after tax from the £118.4 million made.

"Hurts Like Heaven" is a song by British rock band Coldplay. It was written by all members of the band and producer Brian Eno for Coldplay's fifth studio album, Mylo Xyloto. The song was released as the album's sixth overall single on 27 July 2012.
In an interview with The Independent, lead singer Chris Martin stated that guitarist Jonny Buckland was largely involved in the creation of "Hurts Like Heaven", saying of the song: "'Hurts Like Heaven' is all Jonny. It only has two chords. The songs are group-y, it's guitar-y. Jonny is coming out of his cocoon. We're just trying some risky things."
Reviews of the song have noted that the song contains signs of influences of the other artists; in their preview of Mylo Xyloto, Q noted that "the melodies, like the title, are a nod to the '80s heroes they so successfully channeled on A Rush of Blood to the Head, The Cure and Echo and the Bunnymen's influence looming large as Chris Martin sings like he's in a hurry [...] the chorus [...] is as upliftingly bittersweet as Robert Smith and co's best pop songs, whilst the "whoa oh oh" bridge provides the record's first stadium-singalong moment." Reviews from both Rolling Stone and The A.V. Club have drawn comparisons to dance-punk band LCD Soundsystem, with the latter calling the song "a driving homage" to the band.
***Reached 4 million views, Thanks everyone!*** Please note that the original video was not this shaky. I had YouTube do the auto edit thing for the shakiness and it actually made it worse. Unfortunately I cannot undo this. Here is a full concert video I made with footage from the two Boston shows, July 29 and July 30, of Coldplay's Mylo Xyloto tour 2012. This is the full concert with over 20 view points of the show. This is compiled with over 50 different videos from which I found on YouTube. Mylo Xyloto Tour. Prague, 2012 Synot Tip Arena 16 September
autumn leaves falling like memories stalling in your head
this pain you're feeling, your way of dealing with the past
it's complicated, he lead you on and then he let you down
don't let it break your heart
don't let it break your heart
don't let it tear you apart, just bruises and scars they heal
some of these guys they wanna paint a target on your head
love you all up and leave you dying left for dead
but then somebody will play the right song and you'll dance again
so don't let it break your heart
don't let it break your heart
don't let tear you apart, just bruises and scars they heal
don't let it break your heart
and the computer adds up the numbers and it says
if you're so lonely why don't you find somebody else
not complicated, it's kind of simple it's just one on one
don't let it break your heart
don't let it break your heart
don't let tear you apart, just bruises and scars they heal
so don't let it break your heart
don't let it break your heart
don't let it break your heart
